You can always post here and introduce yourself.

Note that new members and guests can only see a small fraction of this board. Access to various sections is granted individually:

GLOMC boards
* If you are a GLOMC member, please mention it here to make sure you get full access to the GLOMC Section.

Design boards
* If you have been invited by any Designer on this board, mention his name and you will get access to the Design Section.
* Otherwise, you can apply for access in a free form. Include a link or links to your best design(s) or good technical posts you've made elsewhere so they can be reviewed. If you have received or are receiving any formal education in a relevant subject, please make sure to mention it as well.

I run a successful storefront, and while I dont really design anything, I do try to present it with decent description and make the attempt to operate my establishment as a real corporate entity.

I run two storefronts now, one being Los Rios Group which I guess is pretty well known. Im not to happy with its level of quality right now and i need to update the writeups. My other is Gemballa Avionic Development, its a brand new store and at the moment offers four products. I will expand it but slowly, as it takes time to get the high level of quality I would like in my products

Id also like some help designing some of my new products for the second store.

I run the only successful airship storefront, the Guild of Prevanian Airship Manufacturers. I am currently in the process of slowly designing more modern airships for the storefront.

We don't want a second NSD, where people post trying to *not* get criticism, in fear that potential customers would read it. So the main design boards are only open to approved members, and these are people who signed up to handle criticism.

Plus, it helps reduce the concerns about plagiarism and such. And the place feels a bit more like a club.

Well, here I am. You all know me from NSD so I don't think too much in terms of introductions is required.

Engineering high school, programing college (if you have a software need I am your wizard) and stuff like that. Not a GLOMC member, hell don't even know what to hell that is.

I was invited here by A&D who I guess needs me to work on some project or another with him in a place where the one who must not be named for his presence makes milk sour and all good things come to an end.

Well, that wraps it up really. Now let me in.

Hey, it's Khorsun from over at NSD. Came here because I heard people actually posted designs and that it's not retarded as NSD. I believe in the principle of 'better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you're a fool than open your mouth and prove it', so I haven't been called a newfagen before.

I'd like to have access to the Designers forum if anything just to see the stuff people post here. I don't really have relevant training or education but I did post a few designs back on NSD. Nothing too great but I accepted criticism and was able to improve them.

Hi, I'm Crookfur!

Some of you may remeber me for my various and often exceedingly boring designs that never turn out quite as awesome as they were in my head.

Whislt not ready to entriely abandon NSD and still hoping for some kind of workable solution over there I would appreciate beign granted access to the design boards, I even have some new stuff that I want to work on.

Welcome aboard.

Purpelia: Welcome, however, I'm not sure if everyone's going to be OK with extended access, remembering some things from NSD. I'll check if there are objections first. But we're going to extend the open section anyway, because there's a lot more need for it now.

The restricted access section has a different role from NSD and focuses more on going through the design process in earlier stages, i.e. the path from the requirements to a concept.

V12, could i possibly have access to restricted section as well, so long as no one has any qualms with it?

EDIT: am also a GLOMC member, if inactive in it, just so you know.

There generally is a test period, people who get access to all boards outright are mostly only those who have built up a reputation as designers already. I don't really remember a lot about you. Post in the open section for now, it's still part of the forum, we'll see some designs, discuss them, or something else, so that everyone gets to know you a little better first.

This really applies to most everyone coming over.

Welcome. Feel free to post anything for review.
The open section is open to everyone, and it's where half the activity occurs. Anything restricted is based on personal reputation, particularly in regard to this board. We don't generally give people extended access right away, it serves to avoid issues that would otherwise arise.

This is the player behind the account of "Yohannes" in NationStates.

I would humbly request for an access towards the GLOMC forum as a member of the said organisation.

Cheers V10! biggrin.gif
