Title: Rosdivan?

V12 - August 4, 2008 06:00 PM (GMT)
What has happened on NSD? An accident or something else?

TPF 1337 - August 6, 2008 07:20 PM (GMT)
wtf?

V12 - August 6, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
His account has been deleted from NSD.

wow, did he piss off Mac?

Rosdivan - August 7, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
Oh, that? I had resigned my moderatorship and left NSD as I didn't see any point in continuing over there. Standard practice for me when I leave a board is to change my email to a scrambled fake email address. That put me in the validating category and he probably just purged that category. No pissing off of Mac or anything.

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
And why did you see no point? Just too many noobs and shitty designs, or?

I've learned pretty much everything I feel I can learn from there, the critique element is gone and its turned into a social club imho.

I would agree with you. When it first started there were many more designs than Lunch Room or NS threads. Now its completely reversed. I trust that you will continue to be around ns?

Yeah, I'll still be around NS. Right now I'm somewhat stepping back both for design and to flesh out various parts of my nation before going back into RPing (since the Doom thing looks pretty dead).

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
Excellent. I hope to do some rping with you in the future.

V12 - August 7, 2008 09:56 PM (GMT)
47 seconds ago, Macabees has deleted me.

Very nice.

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 10:00 PM (GMT)
V-10, stop with that shit. You just got me banned. And unlike you, I actually want to be on teh forum.

V12 - August 7, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
I didn't get you banned. If you did that, you did it yourself.

All I did was to sent Mac a message telling he isn't an overlord to everyone on the forum - I didn't mention you at all.

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
Alright, sorry. Your PM pissed him off and got him in the mood to ban me lol.

V12 - August 7, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
Well, my PM wasn't of a kind that would piss off a normal person. It said "You know, you don't really control everyone here", or like that (he deleted me, so I can't check).

ATM I'm archiving my designs posted on NSD. You should do the same, I think. Login through a proxy. I won't be surprised if he DEAT's us.

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 10:28 PM (GMT)
I have all mine on my comp. All the good ones, anyway.

V12 - August 7, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
Good thing.

Now... Well, you get it. What I've posted in PM, but now it's really for everyone who could be helpful in any way. Not through the /d/, I guess, bit still.

I used to think NSD isn't totally screwed up and can be useful at least for helping newbies, but I've learned to realize it can't, and really is totally screwed up.

V12 - August 7, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
TPF, I seriously didn't expect you to attack me...

I didn't. It was just a serious observation.

V12 - August 7, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
Which you knew was false as there's more than me that have left or almost left NSD.

About which part. The revolution or the clique thing?

And Ros left for different reasons than you did.

Who else left?

V12 - August 7, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
Ros has left for exactly the same reasons.
AN partially left, for the same.
Confederacy, though much less.
Maybe others who never told.

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 11:12 PM (GMT)
True.., but if you really want to have designs critiqued, than make a new forum...

And arent you good enough to be "above" that?

V12 - August 7, 2008 11:20 PM (GMT)
Didn't get what you meant...
Initially, this board was just for joint designs. As for "above that", I just don't understand why you'd start bashing me, even on a forum I've left.

TPF 1337 - August 7, 2008 11:25 PM (GMT)
I'm not bashing you. Seriously.

Cassidy - August 8, 2008 01:11 AM (GMT)
Truth be told, I simply lost interest on designing weeks ago, except when it has some LOL and outlandish stuff, like a Rubik's cube shaped grenade.

It's a bit of a draw too, considering that it was V12 who invited me to NSD.

But that's normal. I had created a forum once because of an obscure MMO guild I did. I was tempted to ban every single member as it was dead anyway just for the LULZ, and to prove how pointless E-Power is.

[drama]Even E-Power "corrupts"[/drama]

V12 - August 8, 2008 01:20 AM (GMT)
Just to mention, I don't regret I didn't delete the whole damn forum when I left.
I could, and IF doesn't keep backups, so it would never be restored.

But still, sometimes I think, perhaps I ought deadmin every admin and demod every mod. Make it a government-free place. Better to tolerate some spam rather than a sarzocracy.

TPF 1337 - August 8, 2008 01:22 AM (GMT)
why'd you loose interest in design?

Seems everybody has these days. Nothing left to design?

Because it's just more of the same, and the only thing I can really do to add some style to them is something I fail at. Plus the APNanocrusher "one shot, one kill" heavy tank round is the pinnacle of my ammunitions design based on three white papers I have little idea on the technicalities of what they are supposed to explain, which is the reason why I rarely source what I design.

Maybe once I'm the mood for a totally lunatic idea... but mostly no.

*Edit:

Drama + Persecution Complex:

I know jack shit about the subject but for the sake of postcount+

Nianacio quickly explains it:

And Mac redundantly dismiss my assumption:

[/total paranoia]

I pissed off Mac once because of a "Hippie LOL" comment on Iraq.

TPF 1337 - August 8, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Sounds pmt to me. That round.

White papers are just that... white papers.

Really, I don't know why I wasn't banned for the "Iraq LOL" E-Drama

Rosdivan - August 8, 2008 04:38 AM (GMT)
Can I ask wtf happened?

V12 - August 8, 2008 11:03 AM (GMT)
I don't understand it myself.
After TPF's ban, I sent Mac a short PM criticizing his slide into authoritarianism, or, more precisely, telling he doesn't really control this forum at this point.
In a minute, he deleted the Vault10 account and banned the IP.
(But I've always accessed NSD through a proxy chain, a safety measure, so I just changed the last proxy).
Then, in some time, as I guess it got noticed on #d, he posted a thread about the deletion, telling that "threatening over PM is not acceptable".

Now I doubt he deleted you accidentally as well... IPB doesn't have a specific function for purging the users that failed email validation, and now the mode is set to email+admin confirmation. So it lists all users on one page, sorted by email sending date - both those who didn't complete email confirmation and who await for the admin to approve them. The admin has to go through the list and manually choose those to approve and those to delete. It would be pretty much impossible not to notice you. I guess he decided something like "You wanted it so get it".
