Warner Home Video announced it will release a second volume of Saturday Morning Cartoons, the 60s and 70s in October. Here's what it will feature:

I noticed that the set includes 2 different eras of Tom & Jerry on TV. The 1960s disc boasts an installment of the original show Tom And Jerry from the 1965-72 CBS Saturday/Sunday morning era which featured repeats of cartoons from the theatrical era. The 1970s disc (hold onto your Cosmic Zingers!) has the debut broadcast of The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show (show #TJGA-1) from Saturday, September 6, 1975 on ABC Funshine Saturday!!! :clap: (Though we really shouldn't hold our breath of Warner locating the original New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape interstitials... :dunno: )

Hopefully this volume will restore the scenes from the Hair Bear Bunch episode (Keep Your Keeper) that CN and Boomerang keep leaving out--the bears running into their cave and Peevly spluttering that it isn't his birthday.

Well, the missing segment on the Hair Bear Bunch episode was not restored. Each disc has a disclaimer stating that some segments no longer exist and the missing segments on the episode are presumably among them. TV commercials for the set have a clip of the show's "we'll be right back" bumpers but they are absent from the disc.

The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour opening is from the CBS primetime BB/RR half-hour show from the summer of 1976. Again, it is presumed to be the only archival material for the show that exists.
