My Mum kept a lock of my hair from the first haircut I ever had! It's this tiny thin golden blonde lock that is SO not the colour I have now that it's hard to believe it's actually off my head!!!!
She tried to keep some of the clothes but I guess with five kids and a few moves ... it didn't happen. She did keep my second youngest brother's Mickey Mouse baby blanket and my youngest brothers white lacy blanket that she bought them both home in. I used the white one to bring both my boys home from hospital too! Was a nice family heirloom but it's gone back now!
I've kept my boys coming home outfits and a few of their firsts. Like their first sandals and shoes ... their first pair of socks ... favourite little outfits. Not a lot but enough to show them how tiny they were!!! I think it probably means more to me ... but hey ... boys can be sensitive too!!!!

That's really neat, Alex, thanks for sharing that. :) I don't have anything from my childhood at all. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel the need to grieve over it, it's just that I never kept anything...so I don't really miss it. I have some photos, but that is about it. :)

I think it is true when you hear people say "you never miss what you've never had" ... however ... I also believe you do have a certain "I wonder ..." feeling about some things in life!
