It always seem to end the same way. Our biggest Fallow buck was a road casualty.I think they must lose raod awareness in the rut!!!

I've got a similar problem. In a previous post, I mentioned we had 2 good Roe Bucks and approx 6 Does. Now I have seen one of the Bucks with it's rear left leg stuck out behind it. Whether it's been hit by a car or got caught up in a fence, I don't know. It seems to be feeding well and can still get a good speed up when disturbed, so I will keep an eye on it and if it starts to suffer or loose condition, I will have to dispatch him (I've got humane destruction on my licence), even if out of season. It's a shame because he's a good un, although with not many points, and I don't want to see him in distress.
