Hu Ge and Ariel Lin will be collaborating once more in ancient series <Legend of the Condor Heroes> and inevitably they will be compared to the previous versions. In terms of costumes designs, the cast tried out their costumes yesterday; Ariel looked adorable and Hu Ge presented a different look to his previous image. Being the second time of cooperation, Hu Ge and Ariel Lin looked like a couple when they stood together for they had the “couple face”.

Ariel said that the reason for her taking the role of Huang Rong is that this character is very complex so she wanted to take up the challenge and improve her acting. As for the dressing, she laughed and said that Huang Rong is a wealthy man’s daughter so her clothes are all very nice; but she had to wear beggar’s clothes for the first part of the drama when she disguised herself as a beggar. However, this was no feat for Ariel as she had tried on dirtier clothes in <Fairy in Wonderland> when she dressed up as a guy in some scenes.

In order to make people believe he can act Guo Jing, Hu Ge intentionally gained 7.5kg and went to the gym daily to tone himself. In addition, he also went for a tan to look like a boy who’s grown in the desert. Some fans were dissatisfied when Hu Ge was cast as Guo Jing because they felt he was unsuitable for the role. The reason was that Hu Ge’s image in his previous shows was of the handsome and gentle types which did not suit Guo Jing’s rugged look. However, director Li Guo Li emphasized that the innocence in Hu Ge's eyes would be able to express the real Guo Jing. So far, the production crew has arrived in Heng Dian and they will start shooting in a few days’ time.
