Looks like we'll get an average of 1 GW2 Beta Weekend per month until launch:

Dang, I was hoping they would do it more often then this...

Oh well. I can't wait to see how much progress they make between builds for the beta events.

You two certainly make it sound fun. Saint gave the ultra detailed rundown earlier. I'll likely get it IF my computer will run it repectably.

Probably wouldn't upgrade for it. Also I'm not sure about the time sink factor. I have never clicked with an MMO since the first GW. No fee helps because if a play a month and stop it is not a big deal.

There is a pretty slick GW Skills tool that will show you the various skill, weapon combos and unlockable skills for each class. It also has the attacks you can use to recover yourself when downed.

Excellent game play video in 1080p/full screen. The guy the recorded it was playing as a Ranger and you're watching him go through the character build process, choosing his look-n-feel, background story, pet, etc and the opening gameplay. For those curious, it's the next best thing to actually be in the Beta.

Yes, yes...another GW2 post from Saint. Well, I found this video of all the character customizations of all the playable BETA races in 1080p HD and with a crazy weird narrator. Check it out if you have an hour to kill and are curious to see all the options in creating characters, classes, back story, etc for Charr, Human & Norn.

Saint, I looked at the times the stress test will be live tomorrow... and unfortuantely I will be at work almost the whole time. I will try to play a bit during my lunch hour, but that may be it.

Oh well.

Yeah, their timing stinks. I mean, who would schedule a stress test in the middle of the day on a Monday??? They'd get much better results if they did a Saturday or Sunday.

Stress test over. I encountered very little in the way of lag...only once or twice early on. I did report some bugs initially preventing the creation of a new character, entering personal instances & clipping. All seemed to be addressed w/in minutes. Created a Charr Ranger and that was fun...I like their story and the feel of the Charr starting area. Created a human Mesmer but struggled to really get excited by it.

I suspect another BWE on Memorial Day weekend and am looking forward to it!
