VINDICTUS

A free-to-play game, well worth the download to check out the system. The graphics are excellent, and the combat is definitely a lot more fun than in LoTRO or Guild Wars.

I've been playing this for a few days now (when time permits) and am enjoying it. There is definitely grinding but it is still a lot of fun.

Been playing this off and on for a while now. Very enjoyable combat with physics... good stuff.

I keep running into some serious technical issues with this game now... I wonder if my graphics card is on its last legs...



By the way, are any of you on Lord of the Rings Online? Did you know it's free-to-play now?

I'm re-downloading the game ; hopefully I won't have graphics issues with this game as well...

I have downloaded LOTR:O, but haven't played it since... not sure why. Just not feeling the MMO vibe right now.

OK...so I've downloaded Vindictus...not played it yet though. I'm currently downloading LOTR Online...not done. Got some holiday parties to go to (woe-is-me) so it might be a few days before I get to try them out. Thank God I'm off work the last two weeks of the year!

Well, VINDICTUS is off the hard drive now since I had some major crash-to-desktop issues once questing in the second-tier area. Weird. Error reports were sent but I don't expect much support...

Lord of the Rings Online is working well so far. I have a level 8 human hunter on the Arkenstone server. His name is ARNWALD if you're interested in hooking-up at some point.

I played so much LoTR:O during the beta I have never really found myself wanting to play it when it launched. I might take a look - but I've really gotten away from PC gaming - part of it is logistics - the computer is in the room next to the babies room. Part of it is not wanting to deal with drivers, updates and sitting at a desk after sitting at a desk all day.

I tried installing this and suddenly had major OS problems...running Win7 64 bit and had to reinstall OS. Been running it for months w/no issues until I installed this game. I'm not sure if this is linked but I'm not reinstalling right away...on the off case it's related to the problems I encountered...

Funny you should mention that. I upgraded my PC yesterday.

Like you, I was running into some serious graphics issues with LOTRO with my previous machine. I'm fairly certain it was a graphics-card problem for me (on top of my processors being a bit behind the times). Like you, I was running Win 7 64-bit.

The new machine is also running Win 7 64-bit but I'm having zero issues with the game. Butter smooth at max settings.
