Godzilla coming to Nintendo's Wii?
Although the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2006 has already come and gone, rumour has been spreading that Atari has officially announced the latest Godzilla title for Nintendo's coming Wii console. However, no specific details are currently available via the official Godzilla/Atari website as of mid-August. According to Wiilog, "Godzilla Wii" (working title) is part of the first semi-comprehensive list of titles scheduled to be released in the United States. It has been attached with a Winter 2006 release date [although I personally believe that if the project is being developed, it will be sometime during 2007]. The Wiire originally released the article supposingly clarifiying Atari's announcement of the project and the title has been circulating the net ever since. If the report is true, hopefully more information will be released shortly.

Classic Media to release Raids Again/Mothra vs. Godzilla
Following the highly anticipated release of the original Japanese version of "Godzilla, King of the Monsters" (1956), "Gojira" (1954), which is set for September 5th, Classic Media has scheduled for the released of two other Godzilla titles on DVD. "Godzilla Raids Again" (1955) and "Mothra vs. Godzilla" (1964) will be released with both the original Japanese and U.S. version of the films. The two additional titles are planned to be available this November 7th for $19.98 SRP each. Honestly, this should actually be a big deal for G-fans! "Raids Again" hasn't been available since its 1980s VHS which has become the rarest Godzilla title to date. "Mothra vs. Godzilla", although not a difficult film to find, is often considered one of the best from the entire franchise! So go and get yourself a copy once their released.

Just encase you decide to postpone purchasing these two excellent DVDs, Classic Media is supposed to release a Collector's Edition set which will not only include "Raids Again" and "Mothra vs. Godzilla" but will feature "Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster" (1964), "Invasion of Astro-Monster" (1965) as "Godzilla vs. Monster Zero", "All Monsters Attack" (1969) as "Godzilla's Revenge", and "Terror of Mechagodzilla". Unfortunately, a specific release date has not been announced.
