DRAMADrama is inevitable in life and in RP. However, this doesn't mean disputes can't be handled civilly between players. If players are unable to end a dispute between themselves, they should contact a moderator by PM.
Individuals that start drama will only be given one warning before being dismissed from the game on the second offense. The same is true of those who are found to be participating in and/or encouraging drama. There will be no exceptions - drama will not be tolerated here.
OOC/MARY SUES/GODMODDINGPlayers need to be sure they have a firm idea of their character's personality and the game's premise before applying. Likewise, players should make sure they're staying in character.
Mary Sues/Gary Stus and godmodding are also not allowed.
If any of the above is seen happening with a character, the player will receive two warnings before being removed from the game on the third offense.
SPELLING/GRAMMARBoth spelling and grammar are important, so looking over your post before hitting submit never hurts. If you use Firefox, there should be an inline spellchecker already installed on your browser. With this, your browser will point out misspelled words as you type, à la Microsoft Word. This should successfully prevent a majority of spelling issues.
CHARACTER LIMITPlayers are currently only allowed 2 characters max (although this number is subject to change). Additionally, players cannot play two characters that would interact regularly. Players seeking additional characters must allow a one month between applying for a new characters, although an exception may be made for extremely active players.
ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTSPlayers are expected to keep up with replies to other characters and threads. Please do not start threads if you have no intention of following through.
HIATUSESHiatuses are allowed for up to two weeks. However, this will be dealt with case-by-case (constantly being busy with school is a lot different than not having access to a computer for a certain length of time). If a player needs additional time, some exceptions may be made.
SHIPPINGSlash, het, and femmeslash are all permitted. However, there should be no tilt towards any particular orientation. Keep in mind if your character is anything other than heterosexual that they should be played as the setting requires.
Also, bear in mind that character relationships need to be born of an agreement between both players, as well as believable. If players seem to have joined solely for shipping purposes (and are disregarding other parts of the game for it) or are forcing certain ships on other players they will only receive one warning before being dismissed from the game.
PBSPBs should be as close to canon as possible, although minor details (such as eye color) can be overlooked. Also, there should be a suitable amount of clear icons for your character. A good resource for finding a PB by detail such as hair color and age is
PB Updates on InsaneJournal. Please be sure to check that your PB is available before you commit to it. Once you've chosen a PB,
Wikicon on InsaneJournal is a great resource to find icons. Since this is a board, you will need ONE icon of you PB, but you can change it as often as you like, so feel free to grab more.
PLOTPlots should be created with the pervasive storyline in mind and the RPG should not be used solely for any one purpose (shipping, for example).
Major plots (death, rape, and pregnancy) should be discussed with the mods by PM.

</Private>It should always be assumed, unless stated otherwise, that if a private is not addressed to your character (s)he cannot "break into" the other characters' journal.
Make sure to clarify the recipient(s) of a private addressed to certain characters. Saying something like "close friends" is too vague. Instead, list the names of those the private is addressed to.
THREADSThreads should be titled clearly, with participants listed. It should also be stated if the thread is Not Safe For Work. A simple *NSFW* will work just fine. Please try to remember to do it yourself. If the thread becomes NSFW later, please edit the post title.
