QUOTE ([Papero)
]A special mention for Strager, that has put a great effort in
this compo, by submitting apps over apps and useful patches and by supplying sources for your use.

Thanks for the complement. smile.gif

I thought the compo was great. Hopefully we can host another one sometime soon, and we can maybe get more entries. This would greatly expand upon WinDS, as this compo has already (I think tongue.gif).

(Yay, I got third! Boo, I got third!)

Also, congratulations to all who entered, even if you didn't win. We are all here to spead WinS, and we have done just that. Hopefully. tongue.gif

A note about RoboNes entry: the comments you can read on the entries page refers to the first version of his app. The one you'll download is a later fix. Our overall opinion remains the same: a nice app unfortunately compromised by major bugs.

yeah thats a pain, dualis 12 wont even run a demo to read the "pass" string present in homebrew even if it does run wins good
ideas 1.0.0.6 emu, is not capable yet either
dsemu 0.9 can run demo but does't seem to run wins anymore
to late for the compo i found a fourth emu, DeSmuME 0.6, it can run both, though the top screen is't active, i may see what i can get working with that as the subdirectory bug only appeared with the method used to get mywins working on dualis (hopefully hardware too)

Well, of course emu's can't read "PASS" or any other data off the cart, because they don't emulate the cart. If you first write some sort of a cart emulator for one of the emus, then it will work. But still the best option is to run it on hardware.

Of course we tested on hw too (LiraNuna in particular). It does work, but unfortunately it shows the same buggy behaviour as on dualis.

2 do, just one does't run wins anymore and the other emulates the bottom screen (which is't a problem), its just a shame the apparent best (dualis) does't

besides how is this needing emulating the cart exactly? the cart is memory mapped in at 0x8000000, this is simply mirroring the rom to that address, after all, the cart rom is loaded into emulator memory, i don't see the issue ?

.nds files are being ran from 0x02000000 if they are being ran in another method then a FlashCart + PassMe. so i guess this was the cause of it not working - the latest fix you've added, it did work - but on a FlashCart only (Crashed on GBAMP, WMB and M3)

thats curious, the drives were statically saved as arrays - same as icons(for that version), so they should be loaded into ram, yes? should work on them too?

I was thinking the same thing. I want to know how close other peoples' entry(s) were to winning. Or maybe it's just to show how much better I am than other people. wink.gif [/jacocking]

By the way, I really liked your game, Frz. It's really fun, but a level generator would be nice, you know? It wouldn't be hard to implement. wink.gif

What do you mean with level generator? The game *does* generate the levels when you click new game o.o

(That's what I use lib_sudoku_sensei for o.o)
