WARNING: this devkit will not work properly with devkitPro 19. In order to compile all stuff, you will need devkitPro 18. BTW we are working to make it compatible with new eabi binutils.

OFFICIAL COMPO DEVKIT - Ver.1.0 DOWNLOAD HERE
Sources: WinS (both DS and GBA) sources are availaible here.

Download the latest WinDS devKit v1.1 HERE

Please read before installing!

This is a combined devKit for both WinDS and GBAWinS. It is supposed to work under devkitPro (devkitARM mainly) and should have libgba and libnds installed.

Note : This doesn't mean WinDS or GBAWinS is using libnds and libgba! They're just using their includes!

To install DevkitPro, use thier latest installer. Download it from its home page HERE. Use the auto installer (devkitProUpdater-X.X.X.exe where X.X.X stands for a version. the latest is 1.2.0). Download devkitARM with libgba and libnds. The installer installs into c:\devkitPro please try to keep this installation folder.

Be sure to install the WinDS devKit AFTER installing devkitPro.
The WinDS autoinstaller will create a WinDS_devKit folder. DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE FOLDER!

Yet another note : When devkitPro will be updated, it will erase all unknown folders! This includes WinDS devKit folder! So please uninstall it before updating devkitPro! After a new devkitARM release, WinDS devKit will be updated, aside devkitARM along with it's changes, so keep up with it.

Legal:
The WinDS devKit is provided with no guarantees at all. The author assumes no responsabilities on any damage to persons or things deriving directly or indirectly from the use of the WinDS API Devkit. WinDS is free to use and redistribute for any non-commercial purposes, as long as license and credits notices come along.

For all non-windows users, i will build a zip file containing the Installer's content as soon as possible.

Awsome!

So this will be the DevKit to be used in the competition? Or does that require a special DevKit?

Edit: You forgot the release date on the change log. wink.gif
Edit edit: Here's a ZIP of the extracted DevKit. Host it on your own site if you want, Liran.

Alright! Thanks!
Now to get cracking on some practice code happy.gif

First thing I wanna make is a pointless fullscreen control board.
Though I wonder if it would be hard to make a control board and have graphics running on the top screen to control. Oh and if theres a way to make the screens not switch for instances like typing in a highscore or maybe jsut have the onscreen keboard stay up all the time or even just stay and get in the way of things if I wanted it to.

I have a few games planed and my friend is gonna help me with graphics, so I hope to make some nice console like games soon happy.gif

But still, first gotta practice.

Nice work, havent looked at it for a while and I'm hoping the interface has improved speed wise with the threading and such...

Just a small point, if you use the includes and anything other than a #define then you are using libnds/libgba - so why not just strip out the defines you use and make it independant so it doesnt have to check links to the lib files for ndslib/gbalib?

Nice point.

But if an advanced user wants to access the HW directly, the defines might help him

In that case, the advanced user(s) may simply include the necessary files themselves.
