Julian shook his head at that. "You just don't get it, do you, Sira? You not only like sex, you also don't care who you have to hurt in order to get it. The other women who summoned me during my tenure as a love slave were tame compared to you. Whenever you came, you screamed like a damn banshee. It was so loud, I'm lucky my ears didn't bleed."

Sira smirked at that. "Well, you did make my month so pleasurable that I had to scream in pleasure."

Julian rolled his eyes. "Whatever, Sira."

Calligenia rolled her eyes as well. "If nobody minds, I'm going to go upstairs and get ready for tonight."

With that, she left the room and went to prepare herself for the night ahead. She was going to need suitable clothes for both babysitting and for the fight against her darker side.

Grayson Mansion

Kori was all smiles as she walked in, twirling with the bags in her hands. She had gotten a call on her cell phone from her doctor, telling her that she was having twins again, a boy and a girl.

Said smile faded when Kori then saw Rosalie sitting at the kitchen table, sobbing as James was trying to console her.

"What happened, James?"

James looked at his future mother-in-law. "Oh, one of the girls on the Student Council spread a nasty rumor that we were only getting married because Rosalie's pregnant. She even called her a whore. I don't see why she'd do that."

"I'll tell you why," said Rosalie. "It's because Danielle Quimby is a jealous little bitch, that's why. She had a crush on you back when you started dating Missy. She wanted to get her hands on you so badly that when she found out that you and I were engaged and that I was pregnant, she decided to make trouble."

Raven came into the kitchen that moment, hearing everything that happened. She growled. "Why that no good....I hate women like that. She's just jealous, Rosalie, don't let it hurt you. Better yet, let me ask Keo if he could put a curse on her."

Rosalie smiled through her tears. "Sounds good to me. That'll teach Danielle Quimby a thing or two." She got up from the table. "I think I'm going to go lay down for a little while."

James nodded. "Good idea. I'll take you upstairs if you want."

To which Rosalie said with another smile, "Thanks, James. I'd appreciate it."

James grinned as he then approached her, picked her up bridal style and carried her upstairs. Kori watched this and sighed, shaking her head. She then looked at Raven.

"I know exactly how Rosalie feels. When I was dating Richard, there was this girl on the cheerleading squad who was jealous of us. She would constantly try to cause trouble, even going so far as to leave notes in Richard's locker. Her name escapes me right now, but I remember the way she acted."

"Her name may escape you, but it doesn't escape me." Richard walked in at that moment, having been working out in the garden for the last several hours. "Her name was Chelsea Morgan and man, was she ever a slut. She'd have a new guy on her arm every week, whether they be freshmen or seniors. But, I never thought she was all that special, even though most of the guys on the team did."

He raised an eyebrow at the end of his statement. "Why did you bring her up, Kori?"

"One of the girls on the Student Council, Danielle Quimby, got Rosalie upset," said Kori. "She spread a rumor that Rosalie and James are only getting married because Rosalie is pregnant."

"What? I don't know where she got that shit from, but James and Rosalie are getting married because they're in love," said Richard. "True, the pregnancy is one of the reasons, but it's not the main reason."

Raven nodded. "Yes. They're in love and that's all that they need to get married. When I got pregnant with James, Richard married me, but he married me because he loved me and we've been in love for almost twenty years and I've never been happier."

She went over to Richard then and wrapped her arms around him and kissed him passionately.

Kori smiled at this, thinking about Roy and how happy she was with him, even if she wanted to kill him whenever he got on her bad side. Despite that, she loved Roy with all her heart and that's what kept their marriage alive.

She then cleared her throat, wanting to tell her friends the good news she received earlier. "Before I forget, I've got to tell you about what happened to me as I was finishing up my shopping in the Quarter."

Richard, hearing that, pulled his lips away from Raven's. "What happened, Kor?"

"Well, I had just stepped out of this one store because I had bought some things for our grandchildren when suddenly, my cell phone rings. I immediately answered it and it was my doctor. I had gone to her about a week ago because I had an ultrasound. Anyway, she told me that I'm having twins again."

"Really?" said Richard. "That's great, Kori. What are they?"

"A boy and girl, same as the last time," said Kori. "And before you ask, no, I haven't told Roy yet. When I called him at around noon, he told me that he was going to be working late, which isn't surprising."

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Curious to who it could be, Richard excused himself from the women and went to answer it. When he opened it, he came face to face with...

"Bruce? What the hell are you doing here?"

His foster father smiled. "Surprised?"

"I don't think surprised is the word here," said Richard, stepping back so that the older man could enter. His demon senses alerted him that something was definitely up, but for the life of him, he couldn't detect it. "To reiterate my question, what the hell are you doing here? And don't say, 'I was in the neighborhood.'"

"Actually, I came here because I wanted to talk to you."

Richard scowled at him. "What makes you think I'd want to talk to you?"

Kori, having heard Bruce's voice, came toward the two men. "Hi, Bruce. I didn't know you were in town, especially since Roy made no mention of meeting with you."

"That's because I'm not here for Roy," said Bruce. "I'm here for Richard. I wanted to discuss something with him, but I could tell from his reaction that he's not going to want to hear it."

Richard scoffed. "No shit, Sherlock. What was your first clue?"

"Don't take that tone with me," said Bruce. "After all, I'm still legally your father."

Richard growled and his fangs popped out before he could stop them. "Bullshit, Bruce. You may have adopted me and given me a home, but you were never my father. You never gave a damn about me. All you ever cared about were your whores and your money."

Raven, hearing the commotion and feeling Richard's distress, went instantly to the door and said, sternly. "Hello, you must be Richard's foster father. I'm Raven Grayson, his wife."

She looked at Richard and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, love."

Bruce smiled at Raven. "Nice to meet you, Raven." He then lifted her other hand and kissed her knuckles. "I must say, Richard has good taste."

Raven pulled her hand out of his grasp before saying. "Thank you. Richard does have good taste. What are you doing here?"

Richard retracted his fangs for the moment and nodded. "Yes, Bruce, you never did fully answer my question. You said that you came here to talk to me. What did you come here to talk about?"

"I'm here to tell you that the presidency of Wayne Enterprises has been brought up recently at a board meeting I held several weeks ago," said Bruce. "I'm not getting any younger, as you can probably tell, and..."

"Let me guess, you want me to assume the role as president of your company because I'm your heir?" said Richard. "The offer is tempting, Bruce, but I've already established my life here. Besides, it wouldn't be right for my family. There's nothing for them in Gotham. I swore that when I left, I would never return, not even for something like this."

"I had a feeling you'd say that," said Bruce. "And I don't blame you. Given how you feel about me, you have a good reason for not wanting to accept." Sighing, he added, "And that's probably why I didn't receive an invitation to your wedding."

Raven smirked. "That's right. Richard told me everything about you and your life with my husband and I swear that my own father took better care of me than you took care of Richard."

Richard smiled at what Raven said, looked back at his foster father and was about to say something when Trace came in. He gave Bruce a quizzical look before saying to Richard, "Who's this?"

To which Richard said, "This is Bruce Wayne, my foster father."

Trace looked at Bruce again and smirked. "Ah, so this is the douchebag Uncle Fury told me you lived with. So, what brings him here?"

"He wanted to talk me into taking over as president of his company," said Richard. "But, given my feelings about him, I declined. In fact, he's the reason I moved here to New Orleans in the first place. Well, maybe not the reason, but he counts as one of the reasons."

Trace noticed Bruce raising an eyebrow when he mentioned his uncle's name. "Yeah, I know, it's a weird name. My mom thought so too, and you know what he told her? He told her his parents were on crack."
