Like I told Bruce, I already established my life here and it wouldn't be right for you or our children if we moved to Gotham, since there's nothing for them there."

Helia arrived home and sighed happily as she twirled around. However, she sensed something that caused her smile to fade. Someone else was here besides her, and it wasn't Urian or Alexion and Danger or Simi and Nim and their brood either.

"Hello, little Helia."

Startled by that familiar voice, Helia turned and saw...

"Medea? What are you doing here?"

Stryker's daughter smiled at her. "Is it suddenly against the law for a girl to visit her old friend?"

Helia scoffed. "I wouldn't consider you my friend, Medea. Your father may tolerate me, but I know that you don't. In fact, you out and out detest me, you always have. You've had every opportunity to try and hurt me, but because it would anger my grandmother if you did..."

"Speaking of Apollymi," said Medea, cutting Helia off. "I know what went on when you went to see her a couple months ago."

"You spied on me?"

"I didn't spy on you," said Medea. "I just watched your every move from a distance."

"Same difference," said Helia. "Look, you never answered my question. What are you doing here? You never come here to Katoteros. You normally hang around Kalosis with Stryker's Daimons." Curiously, she added, "Stryker didn't send you here, did he?"

"Of course not," said Medea. "I came on my own accord. As far as my purpose here, I understand that you would do anything to get your brother back from Artemis. You're in luck, little one, because I think I can help you."

Helia raised an eyebrow at that. "How do I know I can trust you?"

"You can't, but as it stands, you really don't have much of a choice," said Medea. "Either you let me help you or you'll never get your brother back."

Tory was walking down the hallway when she felt something from her daughter's room. Going toward it, she opened the door and she looked at Medea sternly. "Hello Medea. What are you doing here?"

Medea smiled at Tory. "Hello, Soteria. I was telling your daughter here that I can help you get your son back from Artemis."

It was just about 5:30 when Calligenia arrived at Sanctuary. She knew she was early, but she was getting antsy so she left after she changed her clothes. She was now wearing a black tube top under a blood red hoodie and dark blue jeans, complete with a pair of black ballet flats. Her hair, which had been loose earlier, was tied back into a ponytail, which was now resting on her shoulder.

"Callie, what are you doing here so early? Aimee said to come at 7:00."

Calligenia saw Fang standing before her with a curious look on his face. "I know, Fang, but things are kind of weird at home right now."

Fang nodded, knowing what she was talking about. "Let me guess, it was because of Sira?" He saw Calligenia's confused expression. "Dev told me about it. You're not really going to trust her, are you, Callie? She sounds to me like a woman after my bitch mother's own heart."

"Of course not," said Calligenia. "None of us trust her, especially not my mother, my Aunt Athena, or Philippe, or even my brother Ion and his wife. Evelyn wanted to kill her when she showed up this morning, not that I blame her."

"I know exactly what you mean, little one," said Fang. "We'll help you in any way that we can if you need us. As Dev's mate, you're now part of this clan and you know that we have your back."

Calligenia smiled and hugged him. "Thank you, Fang. You have no idea how much that means to me to hear you say that."

Dev felt his mate before she arrived. Walking out the kitchen, he saw Callie hugging Fang. He smirked as he said. "Hey wolf! Are you two timing Aimee with my mate?"

Tory cocked her head at that. "Well, what is it? If you have anything that can help Jericho, we'd fully appreciate it."

Fang rolled his eyes and said sarcastically, "Yeah, we're planning to run away together tonight." He sighed and added, "Relax, bear, I would never do that to Aimee. Callie and I were just talking, that's all."

Calligenia d at both Fang's sarcasm and Dev's protective tone. She went over to her mate and embraced him, kissing him passionately. "Don't worry, Devimoo, my heart belongs only to you and nothing will ever change that."

Medea smiled again. "Well, I could tell you about breaking the blood bond Artemis has created, but I think you've already got a plan in mind for that." She shook her head. "Your son's best chance of getting free of Artemis is to try not to fall back into her clutches once his soul mate's songs wear off." She saw the looks on both Tory and Helia's faces. "Yes, I know all about Evelyn Knight and her love for Jericho. I have an understanding of the matters of the heart. After all, I am to be married soon."

Helia blinked at that. "Married? To who, one of Stryker's Daimons?"

"No, to the god of war himself."

"Ares?" said Helia. "But, why are you marrying him? I thought Stryker hated the Greek gods?"

"He considers Ares to be an equal, what with them being warriors and everything," said Medea. "That is why he is allowing this marriage. That and the fact that my mother would banish him from their bed if he refused. She's very persuasive that way."

Helia rolled her eyes. "I'll bet."

Tory blinked...and then blinked again at the mention of the wedding between Medea and Ares. She would've never guessed. She smiled then as she said to Medea. "Congratulations."

Hearing the way her son could be free, she said. "Evelyn is already working on that. Since she's in a play with Jericho and they're the main roles."

Evelyn walked through the auditorium doors and sighed. She saw the rest of the cast onstage. She saw Xander next to the staircase and she waved. He waved back before Mr. Cole stood up and said. "May I have everyone's attention please?!"

Everyone was quiet as he said. "Now, we have until February to do this play right. I want you all to try your best to make this the best show possible. But right now, we need our Satine and Christian. Evelyn? Jericho?"

"I'm here." Evelyn said as she approached Mr. Cole. He smiled before he looked around and said. "Where's Jericho?"

"I'm here too."

Turning around, Evelyn smiled at the sight of her beloved. He was coming toward with that predator's walk that made every hormone in her body sizzle. She nodded her head at him and he did it right back.

Mr. Cole clapped his hands together and said. "Then let's begin from where Satine first appears!"

He then looked at Conner, Xander and Kyros, who got in late for his audition. "You three join Jericho on stage and Evelyn, you stand in the middle of the stage and start singing, 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend'."

Nodding, Evelyn stood in the middle of the stage and started to sing. "The French are glad to die for love. They delight in fighting duels, but I prefer a man who lives and gives expensive jewels." Then the music picked up and she started to sing louder. "A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl's best friend, a kiss may grand, but it won't pay the rental on your humble flat or help you feed your pussycat. Men grow cold as girls grow old and we all lose our charms in the end."

Jericho watched as she moved around like Satine from the movie and he felt his senses return to him and his cock started to grow hard as he watched her.

Medea nodded. "Thank you, Soteria. I'd invite you to the wedding, but you know how it is between my father and your husband." Upon hearing about the play, she added, "I wish Evelyn a lot of luck. This play might be her chance to free Jericho."

Calligenia brushed Dev's face with her hand. "I hope you don't mind that I came a little early, but Sira just arrived and things are little crazy at home, so I thought I'd get out before I went insane."

Dev nodded as he hugged her. "No problem, love. I'll be glad to keep you company until we babysit the children." He then whispered in her ear. "How about we go have some fun in my room for the next hour and a half?"

Evelyn was still singing the song and then at the last part, she turned her eyes on Jericho and spun around a few times before she was in front of him and sang, "Girl's Best Friend!"

She then said in a voice that made Jericho want to jump her. "I believe you were expecting me." Jericho took a step forward and not saying the line, he pulled Evelyn into his arms and kissed her passionately.

Calligenia licked her lips at that, her eyes turning slightly black with lust. She whispered back to him, "I'd love to, baby. I've missed you so much and this demon wants to spend time with her mate."

Aphrodite stretched as she woke up. She had gone up to the master bedroom shortly after Julian went home to take a nap. The slight fainting spell earlier had done a number on her and she wanted to rest for a little while.

No sooner did she open her eyes than Aphrodite noticed that she wasn't alone in the room, because she saw Ares sitting nearby. Scowling curiously, she sat up, causing him to turn and look her in the eye.

"Ares? What are you doing here?"

The god of war sighed and said, "I wanted to talk to you."

"Really?" said Aphrodite. "What is it?" When he didn't answer her right away, she added, "Come on, Ares, you can tell me."

"I'm getting married."

"You are?" said Aphrodite. "Ares, that's wonderful news. Who's the lucky woman?"

Ares smiled at her. "Her name is Medea, Strykerius' daughter. We met at a banquet I attended in Kalosis. I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her." He sighed again, his blue eyes sparkling. "Dite, the reason I told you..."

"You want me to give you my blessing?" said Aphrodite. "Ares, you didn't have to do that. Believe me, I'm happy for you. You're my friend and I wish you and Medea the best."

"Thank you, Dite," said Ares. "That really means a lot to me to hear you say that. In fact, I'm personally inviting you and Keo to the wedding. I know Keo doesn't exactly like me because you and I were lovers once upon a time, but I would be honored if he was there."

"I'll talk to him, don't worry," said Aphrodite. "Again, I wish you and Medea the best. She sounds like a wonderful woman."

Ares smiled again and without a word, he disappeared from her sight.

Dev smirked before he said. "Well, let's go upstairs and have some fun then, my love." Kissing her hotly, he led her through the kitchen to the stairs of the Peltier House and to his bedroom where he locked the door with his powers.

He said to her, huskily. "Take your clothes off...please.."

Calligenia, hearing that, smiled and said, "As my mate commands."

She was about to use her powers, but stopped herself, getting an idea. Another smile on her face, Calligenia then unzipped her hoodie and tossed it onto the floor in a heap. After that, she pulled her tube top over her head, which in turn pulled the band out of her hair, causing it to fall around her back and shoulders.

Once that was done, she unzipped her jeans and, locking eyes with Dev, pulled them down slowly and sensually, feeling incredibly hot in the process, hotter than she ever felt before. Ignoring her pounding heart, Calligenia then stepped completely out of her jeans, leaving her in her underwear, her brand new red silk ones that she knew Dev would no doubt like.
