OMG -- my mother is a Democrat.......she drives me CRAZY!
Today's conversation turned to the judges decision yesterday.........she thinks that it's okay, they'll change things....if people would leave them alone. I contend that NOTHING will change in that bill unless we, the people, bitch like all get-out!

She went on to slam the tea party.....because last fall the tea party people would ask a question and not wait for an answer. I said at least it was better than what's happened in Egypt. She said she LIKES what's happening in Egypt!!!!????? WHAAAAT????? She said they're SO calm and respectful. I said, yes today they are but last week they were destroying business and killing people. She said I didn't see that on the news -- that I didn't see it in the news...that it was probably some where else!!!

Are ALL liberals so narrow visioned??????????????????????

I'm so sorry - you have my condolences. I have a sister-in-law who has been deceived too.

We would all like to think the best of people and especially our government, the media, etc., however the facts speak for themselves. The problem is that the mainstream media has slanted their reporting so badly that they won't report the events without giving it their own liberal spin. Remember the time they filmed the guy carrying an AR-15 at a tea party event, exercising his second amendment right to do so. They purposefully avoided filming his face. Nor did they mention the fact that he was black. Instead, they spun it in such a way as to imply that this was a racist white, hatemonger, wacko (typical of all tea party members) who hated Obama for the color of his skin, and not his socialist policies. Had they shown he was truly an upstanding, articulate black man who loved his country, it would have ruined their agenda.

Maybe if your mother got her news from FOX rather than the government controlled, uber left leaning MSNBC she might get a different, more realistic view of world events. The liberal media is now spinning the Muslim Brotherhood (sponsors of the Egyptian riots) as a friendly bunch of moderates only seeking freedom and democracy for the people of Egypt, when in truth they want to enslave the Egyptians under Sharia law. They are a hate group like Hamas who's stated goal is to destroy Israel and exterminate all Jews and to fight a Jihad against all infidels - they will either submit to the will of Allah or die. Assuming your mother is not muslim, this means her.

If your mother is Internet savy, ask her not to believe what she sees on the news and instead research the truth for herself on the internet. It will take time, but once she sees the magnitude of the lies she has been told, she will enentually come around to embrace the truth, if she is courageous enough to admit she was deceived.

I’ll be completely honest with you guys, as usual. Politics has never been my thing, meaning trying to keep up on the issues at hand besides our second amendment God given rights. After watching the left’s… And let me make this perfectly clear, I know there are good folks on both sides of the isle, but don’t understand the isle in the first place…

After the fallout from the AZ shootings the left ranks as an evil anti group that wants to destroy America, either that or they’re just a bunch of dumb sob’s. I doubt that though, they have a plan, how could anyone be so stupid otherwise??

Is it fruits & nuts and just stupidity when it comes to common sense or an agenda? How could anyone be so stupid to believe the government knows best? I know the answer actually, we call them sheep without a brain that can think for themselves. The pretty side is easier to deal with I guess. :rolleyes:

Liberals have an undeveloped or underdeveloped logic, common sense, and analytical abilities plus they have no recognizable critical thought process. That means they operate on emotional impact and feelings and do not have the ability to see what the consequences of their utopian vision will be.

Most liberals start developing their logic, common sense, and analytical abilities around the age of 30, at which time they start to become moderate or conservative. The older liberals never made it to that rudimentary/basic/normal progression in their lives. They become libtards and leftoids.

I have faith in the human mind and spirit. I believe almost anyone, when given the correct facts, will eventually come to the correct conclusion (though it may take a while.) I think the problem lies with information flow. Like they used to say in the old computer days, "garbage in, garbage out." Yes, there are truly evil people in this would, like George Soros, who mastermind these complex, demoniacal plans. They are intent on subjugating and crushing the world, bringing about misery and sorrow for their own warped ends.

However, most "Liberals" have either not thought it out these issues, as being young and naive they are misled by university teachers with impressive sounding letters after their names, trusted media and celebrities, politicians with an agenda and other authority figures they trust. As Winston Churchill said, recognizing this phenomenon: “If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.” Liberals who make the mistake of thinking for themselves are ridiculed, insulted and punished in an effort to drive them back into the herd of obedient cattle - heading for the slaughter.

After all, liberalism is certainly easier on the ears than the truth. The apostle Paul in 2nd Timothy 4:3 prophicised this: "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear." (New Living Translation) However Paul does not excuse this. He teaches us that they deceive themselves, and calls them to repentance (as he admonishes and exhorts us all.) We need to recognize the difference between those who are truly evil, and those who are simply misgiuded, and help those who will listen off their sinking ship before it is too late and they drag all of us down with them, to drown in their lake of sin.

She has gotten no better.......I'm so sorry to have this in the family!!!
She is not internet savvy...will NOT listen to FoxNews.... Asked her why she won't listen to FoxNews and she says "because that O'reilly guy won't let anyone talk".........OMG. She watches the finance channels....and calls me when the stock market goes up 5 points.....NEVER when it goes down 150!!! I caught on to that.......and now watch the DowJones averages and can point out "it's only gone up 4.2% YTD. She sure is frustrated by that!!!!! And then I tell her she gambles....LOL

No -- it is truly sad that some people won't open up and listen to both sides before making decisions. Had they done that, we wouldn't have Obooma in office.

Sadly, from what you describe it sounds like your mom is in denial. She won't watch FOX News because she's afraid to learn that it all just might be true, and that is something she can't accept. We would all like to live in candy land by the gumdrop forest and catch gummy fish out of a chocolate stream. However we don't live in never-never land, no matter how much we may wish to. One day we must eventually grow up.

We can hide our head in the sand for a while, but eventually we must all face the truth. I know she is happy with the path she has chosen, however one sad day she will learn and be forced to accept the truth. Let's hope it's not too late.

In the mean time, just love her as you would a little child, accepting her limitations.
