Hi all you ATV'ers.

I mentioned a while back in this section when we talked about what we had for ATV's that mine has had carb issues for a long time. Even after being rebuilt.

My ATV is a 2000 Yamaha Grizzly 600. The only replacement I've been able to track down is from Yamaha at a ridiculous price!

Anyone know of a good place to pick up a quality aftermarket carb for these rigs? I know being in Canada might be an issue as far as shipping goes but it's worth a try as I can't find anything other than stock up here.

Thanks.

I'll see what I can find. The tough part is if I remember right is that the 2000 600 Grizz was a one year model, that makes parts scarce and expensive.

Ah, I see, that would make parts difficult if that is the case.

They did have the 600 Grizzly in 98, 99 and supposedly (from the parts lists I've seen) 2001 as well. Though it may well be the carb is a one year wonder, I don't know.

Internet searches haven't turned up anything for me yet, other than some conflicting info.

I know you've been dealing with ATV's a long time and quite extensively from what you've written, so likely have far more contacts in this area than myself.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Still haven't been able to find a half reasonable replacement carb. Maybe it's time to throw another kit in it and then trade the unit off while it's running good. Has very low KM's so should still be a decent trade, I hope.

Then I'll have to find something else powerful enough to move my 14,000lb trailer around my yard! This one tows it well, with a front wheel of course under the trailer nose.
