OK here are a few pictures that were taken yesterday here in the Leavenworth area.
These were just taken along the road as we were going out to get the SIL's snow blower
(Posted Image)

(Posted Image)

Then these are of Quin and Remi out playing in the snow
(Posted Image)

(Posted Image)

In this one they had built a tunnel and Quin was down inside and Remi was waiting her turn. They played out for hours and never did seem to ever get cold.

I'll try.... but it seems my host site isn't compatible with this one for some reason..

Here goes

Our backyard deck isn't looking as inviting as usual.

(Posted Image)

The snowdrift surrounding it

(Posted Image)

Looking out our front door, the travel trailer won't be going anywhere soon.

(Posted Image)

The flowerbed in front is usually elevated about 3 feet, you can't tell it with the snow.

(Posted Image)

My husband headed out back to put seed in the bird feeder because we couldn't open the gates to the chain link portion of our yard.

(Posted Image)

Loppy thought he found a good spot to "go" but still couldn't find any grass.

(Posted Image)

...... oh well........... we have a LOT of snow but it's hard to tell with these tiny pictures. LOL

Beautiful pictures guys, reminds me of living in Maryland and Virginia as a child B)

Cat, sure wish yours were bigger, I remember when you guys built the backyard deck and would bet a fire pit would make it inviting and fun right now!

Gary and Pat,

My heart goes out to you guys. That is more snow than anybody should ever get.
I know that the worst is past, so they say, but please be careful and don't over exert.

If that is your little dusting, I sure don't want to be there when you get a heavy accumulation.

Here are a few more pictures from around our place today. We finally made it back in the driveway and to the house. We have some places with only 5 or 6 inches of snow, but in many locations we have some 3 to 5 foot drifts.

(Posted Image)
This is one location straight out from the edge of the house that we knew had to be deep and we later measured it at 54 inches.

(Posted Image)
I did find the tailgate of my little 5' x 8' trailer sticking up out of the snow, so I am pretty sure the trailer is really down under there.

(Posted Image)
3 to 4 foot drifts in and outside of the dog pen.

(Posted Image)
One of Barb's little rock garden flower grotto's, and this area is sort of elevated.

(Posted Image)
Poor old Big Girl is sitting out there about doing backflips itching to head down any southbound highway and we are stuck here for several more days.

Wow, Gary & Pat and Larry that's a lot of snow!

We are supposed to get a couple more inches of snow tomorrow night! Oh boy! :) It hasn't got warm enough to melt much of the snow we have and now we are going to get more! Yikes.

Someday I'll move my pictures to another host site..... sorry they are so small.

Yes Don that's the deck we built in June 2008, we enjoy sitting out there very much but not right now, it's a bit cold. :ph43r: Even with a fire pit. LOL

Thankfully, we only have about two or three inches of snow. It's just enough to make it look pretty. I feel sorry you folks in the deep south, having to get all the snow....but this GLOBAL WARMING thing is just out of control. ;)

We came home last night at about midnight and it was snowing pretty heavily at that time. They were saying at noon today that we got another 3 to 4 inches on top of what we already had. Looking out the windows right now you can't hardly see that we got anymore at all. At this rate it may be around the 4th of July before this all this snow and ice melts away.
I need to get out there and take a few more pictures.

That is really a great picture and I agree that it would really make a tremendous Christmas Card. You ought to send it in to the Hallmark folks.

Who else has 'fun' with the length of time it takes pics threads to load?

& Lightning, that's really very good pic

Still it's BIG.

& are those snow shoe tracks in front of the 'motorized transportation'?

Just go into your "user CP" and set the number of posts per page to a lower number.

Less pages means fewer pics.

I have mine set to 40 right now, but we have cable.

Grandkids made themselves a pretty neat tunnel in the snowdrift. It was L-shaped and probably at least 12-14 foot from end to end. They tried their damnest to talk me into crawling through it, but that was simply not happening. I was born in the morning, but it wasn't this morning !
Here are some pictures showing their efforts.

Looks and camera angle is deceiving. We only have 2 acres of land that we call ours. There is an 8 acre parcel behind us that is open field/hill so it looks larger than it is. Believe me.....we have neighbors! :D  B)

It may not be much by some standards, but we're proud of every little bit of snow that hits the ground in Atlanta! The backyard a couple of days before we headed down to Florida in hopes of warming up.

Don't feel ashamed of your little amount of snowfall. That is just about the same way we feel up here about sunshine and warm weather. Just enjoy the brief glimps of snow that you did receive.

Hello Marion, just been busy trying to fix up our latest endevor

We're work camping at a little Motel/RV Campground/Tiki Bar down in Cedar Key Florida for the next year.

Sucks when you run out of money due to the miles you've logged

Thanks Larry, the early morning light combined with the clouds made those pictures sort of dark.

It looks pretty when the sun shines on the ice in the trees.

Yes those were great. I don't like being out in the snow much anymore. I did enjoy it many years ago, but Uncle Sam had me out in the worst of it for extended periods, way to often. So nowdays I avoid it whenever possible. I do enjoy seeing all the snowy scenery and pictures that people post of all the snow.

And my sock hat was in the truck. I did not plan on snow and 18 degree temperatures... :o
