Some of us have birds. I have conures and cockatiels and sometimes some of them go with me. Maybe it ought to be changed to "Fur and Feathers."

I think the section heading should be more broad yet.

After all there are pet pigs, who may well travel by rv and folks who take the horse by trailer to a spot and then go camping on horseback.

& then there are critters in the wild up for discussions and viewings online or by outing.

Let's see:

- It's nesting season downunder, even if these 'little ones' will fly next week. Peregrine Falcon Eyases in Oz

- People go on birding walks, hikes.

- Someone just might have a snake who didn't bite me story.

- Or coyote who visited our camp site story.

Some headings I know of are: criiters, animal kingdom, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far, keep 'em coming!

Interestingly enough I was recently thinking that we might want to change the name of this section. There are all manner of pets so let's think of a name that will encompass them all.

Here are a few that I thought of:

Pet Talk
Animal Kingdom
Paws, Claws, Fins, & Feathers

O.K. your turn :)

Paws, Claws, Fins, & Feathers is a very catchy name, I have none of the above but I like that title.

"Critters" are what I shoot in the yard because they are a nuisance. ;)

If this section is to be a place to talk about all animals, critters is ok. & I for one would like it a place to put up a pic of a deer who happened to come in my yard, should such happen.

Or a coyote, or a fox....... or a skunk.....

ie not necessarily domestic family 'property'.

:)

Critter..... that does seem to cover pretty much all things animal.

So, what do you y'all think about something like "Critter Chat"?

Pigs & horses gots fur! They are mammals! ;)

I like "Fur & Feather", but that doesn't cover reptiles.....

We can certainly remove any complication by calling it "Pets." How's that for cuttin' to the chase?

Well, I'd like to be able to put all the animals, including those I might try to shoo away with mothballs (like skunks) as they are doing in a town near me.

There must be someone else who lives where all have yards and gardens.

Pigs and horses have hair.

Well if we want to cover them all then I think "Animal Kingdom" would do that. I've got a few private messages voting for that name....

A couple of them told me that they didn't really want a cutsie name for the forum. That's OK, too.

OkieCat, "Animal Kingdom" is kinda broad. Technically, that includes people (except maybe for my ex-mother-in-law), mosquitos, dung beetles, aardvarks and.... Well, you get the picture.
