Title: Odd Requirement For Reservations

Whenever possible we prefer to stay at campgrounds/RV resorts that offer very nice views of the ocean or lakes. In this months 'MotorHome' magazine I found what looks like a nice place to go to - The Red Coconut RV Resort in Fort Meyers Beach Florida.

Red Coconut RV Resort

When checking out rates I found this requirement:
QUOTE (Red Coconut RV Resort)
PET FEE $3.00 PER DAY (CURRENT INOCULATION RECORDS AND A PHOTOGRAPH OF PET REQUIRED)

I all of our years of RVing, I've never seen a requirement for a photograph of your pet being required.

Doesn't this seem a little odd?

Maybe they are up to something. We own small dogs and even their poop is barely noticeable we always carry bags for those moments when poop can't be buried.
On last mini rally we had one of the member tent camping. She was on the center lawn between our RVs, yet on day 2 there was a huge poop about 8' from her tent.
Somebody had to walk big dog between our sites to leave it there.

One reason for the photo of the pet may be to ensure that the Toy Poodle is not a Presa Canario or another of the "aggressive breeds". Even then I could send in a photo of my neighbors Chihuahua instead of an "aggressive breed". I agree the photo seems to be strange requirement.

That does sound rather strange.
We actually stayed at the Red Coconut Campground back in August 2006 and I do not remember any such requirement. That is a pretty nice and unusual campground. The vast majority of the campground is on one side of the roadway and then they have another section that is on the beach side or the roadway.
They were way to full for us to get on the beach side so we were stuck on the other side. Lots and lots of permanent sites on that side and it really seemed like it was an 80+ nursing facility. It was nice and real clean but just seemed like it really heavily catered to the olderly.
Just my personal observation.......................

Just for fun, I'd like to tell them I just have a little kitty that's not even been weened yet - and send in this photo:

No it's not photoshopped. It's a liger.
