Lost TWO of my WALMART Group 27's........
BOTH boiled dry and sulphated at the same time, and in only about 3 weeks.
2 months AFTER the end of warranty of course.
I swear.
I'm gonna plop down the extra cash for NAME BRAND this time.
Likely will be AGM's to boot.
We have had 4, 6 volt Life Line AGM batteries since June of 2007. The only thing I have done to them was to hose them off. I have not even had to clean the terminals!
Jim
If they boiled dry I would make sure that they aren't being over-charged.
We have four Interstate U-2200's that are the OEM batteries. Over 8 years old now and still doing fine. I did add a bottle of de-sulfation liquid from Harbor Freight to them and 4 oz of mineral oil to each cell.
The mineral oil cut WAY down on the amount of distilled water I need to add and I've never even had to clean the terminals since adding the mineral oil.
I'll be looking at the Wal*Mart golf cart batteries when these finally go bad.
