The Coffee shop is nice and cozy, the type that has couch and comfy chair to sit around in.

"No Mom..." Sol said into his phone which he had wedged under his chin. In his arms he had a large amount of papers. It's important to note that none of these are classified documents. "No.. I don't care if her son's a lawyer... no mom I know..."

The information Sol currently had with him was just print outs of articles from the internet news paper clippings things anyone could get a hold of. Anything classified he'd deal with back at the office.

He reached out trying to get his hand on the handle to the door, "Ma.. I need to go... no no I ..." He managed to get his fingers on the door handle and start to squeeze it open and pushing his foot in to catch the door and ease it open gently. Trying to get inside to sit in the coffee shop and well get some coffee.

She spent most of her time at the school, she had even gone as far as looking into renting out her home for awhile. She wasn't sure how long she would be at the school but indefinite seemed close. Still, as much as she wanted to help the students, as much as they needed the help, she needed some time to herself as well. The students were slowly getting comfortable with her, and trusting her, so she felt confident that by heading out for a bit they wouldn't see this as abandonment.

She had needed to pick up a few things anyway, it seemed even her most forgiving clothing had become a bit too restrictive. Son after she picked up some more business casual maternity wear that she truly hoped would last she thought she would stop for a quick snack and some tea. Or perhaps some hot cocoa, the air was getting more brisk.

Dressed in a pair of non-jean jeans and a blouse that was a bit too 'flowy' for her personal tastes, she put everything in the trunk and headed to the cafe'. With a smile she reached for the door around the gentleman and nodded for him to go ahead and head in ahead of her. He seemed quite busy with his work and phone call so she didn't want to disturb him.

"Thank you." Sol says back ant enters while going back to his Phone. "I need to go Ma I'm being rude. Did you raise me to be Rude? Well I am very glad for Mrs. Abramson and her son. I love you too."

"You're my personal hero." He says to Jacinda as he finds a place to put his papers so h can put the cellphone away carefully and put it in the inside of his jacket.

"Can I buy you a coffee as a thank you?"

She followed him in and hid a smile at his conversation. It was nice that some people were really close to their family still. With a nod in response to his thanks for the door she headed towards the counter, only to stop as he got off the phone. "Oh you didn't have to cut the call short on my account."

A quick lick to her lower lip as she glanced to the counter then back. "Well, I was going to just get some tea and go over my schedule, if I'm not disturbing your work I'd love some company."

"Actually I think you may have saved my poor phone's battery life. My mother is a very lovely woman very concerned about me, though very disappointed." Sol says nodding a little at the mention of it. The amount of Jewish mother jokes he could tell was staggering though. Oh and the one about guilt trips being the Jewish Super Power. He decided to try and have a little more class then that.

"Join a beautiful woman for a cup of tea, consider my rubber arm twisted." He said with a smirk. "As long as we have a table because I brought a little bit of work with me from the office."

She was very pretty and that means completely out of Sol's league. But he was technically a Doctor, though not a medical doctor and most women felt that was a little misleading when he introduced himself a Dr. Mendel and didn't have the ability to remove a bullet or prescribe drugs.

"I'm Sol Mendel." He leaves off Special Agent, it was true but also was considered to terribly misleading when it was discovered he basically looked at information all day instead of firing a gun at people. "I would shake but probably best to be done when I can put this all down safely."

Adjusting her purse strap she quickly stepped forward to reach for falling papers. "Oh, of course. Perhaps to a table first?" She suggested before heading towards one of the smaller booths in the corner. "I'm sure you're mother means well, it's nice that she worries. Though might I suggest a bad connection from time to time might not be a bad idea."

"My mother does mean well it's not her fault that she specializes in guilt trips," Sol said as they made their way over to one of the tables. Nothing there was special or classified so he wasn't worried about leaving it alone, he does however straighten the stack to makes the papers neat.

"No I wouldn't want anyone else as my mother, she'd give her life for me, I know she won't let me forget it." He says with a slight smirk. However Sol really is a momma's boy.

He will smirk at her in a slightly wicked manner, "So I'm a momma's boy who works in data and statistics, you don't need to give me your name if you don't want however in lue of such I will take a phone number." Sol says in a joking manner as he heads towards the counter.

Oh Sol had tried so hard to hide his occupation he had forgotten that around his neck he has his S.H.E.I.L.D. badge/access pass. Anyone who took it would still need a thumb print and security code to get into the office but he's not exactly James Bond, when it comes to being sneaky or picking up women.

He was quite open with talk of his mother and it was refreshing. Most were careful about their families and personal lives. Especially around her. Setting her purse, though it was a bit large to be called that, on the seat across from his papers, Jace grabbed her small wallet from it before straightening.

Her hand dropped to her stomach in an absent gesture as she replied. "Well, that is probably a mother's prerogative. To always remind their children that they are a piece of them." With a wince she realized she didn't introduce herself when he gave his name. Looking to correct it immediately she offered her hand. "I apologize, I dont' know where my head is today. Jacinda White. I would give you my card, but I truly hope you never need it."

She was still, technically, employed by the state, but that was some sort of 'cover' that was arranged with a Colonel Nick Fury after the Brotherhood and student kidnapping debacle. She worked full time at the school now, and reported to both the Professor and Col. Fury. Both seemed fine with the arrangement and as long as she didn't violate a student's trust or right for privacy she saw no problems with it. "Now, would you like a scone perhaps with that coffee?"

Sol will shake her hand it's a friendly grip not overly tight or overly assertive. "I love my mother and I wouldn't trade her for the world except that one time in Grade school...just kidding." He says he had noticed the motion to her stomach and decided that it was best not to bring up what a bratty kid he had been.

"It happens I tend to be a blends into the wallpaper type." He admits, "You aren't a personal injury lawyer are you? because given my Manuel Dexterity I should take one of those cards just in case."

"Has long as there is no Ham in them I will take a Scone." Sol says, "No meat of any kind actually." He liked cream in his coffee and butter on his scones, some times eating Kosher was a pain.

Luckily with the rise of Vegetarian food he was finding it easier and easier.

Her lips pursed into a small smile and she arched a brow. "Only once? I'd say that's an excellent average then." Being embarrassed was natural, especially when it came to parent and child relationships.

Turning she walked with him to the counter to look over the small but impressive menu. "Hmmm, well there is something to be said for the quiet life. Oh, no I'm a social worker. Nothing nearly as glamorous as a lawyer I'm afraid. I work with school children." Best to leave it simple. School work, and students. Not mutants and trauma. The idea of the day was to get out and away from all of that, for just a bit anyway.

With a small laugh she pointed to the bakery shelf. "Scones are sweet. Well to me, most people don't think they are sweet enough, but they are fruit, not savory flavored. I recommend the currents with some jam. That's typically a good side with coffee. As long as you don't like it too sweet."

He chuckles lightly and shrugs at the comment about how he only once tried to trade his mother in, in grade school.

"Well that's not boring or anything I'm sure you're helping a lot of kids who would normally fall through the cracks if they didn't have someone to help them. I do admit I don't know much about your job but I'm just making a guess." He says showing an interest in what she does.

"They're a bit like Tea Biscuits, I have run into ham and cheese tea biscuits and they are double un-kosher so I try to be careful from now on. I will avoid talking about what happened when I found out Tea biscuits can have ham and Cheese in them." Sol says shrugging a little. His response hadn't been the most elegant at the time and he didn't want a replay of it any time soon. "I am not the greatest authority on baked goods however."

Stepping forward when the counter was clear she ordered her tea with honey not sugar, and a scone for herself before stepping aside so he could get in his order. "Mmmm, boring no. Most definitely not boring. Just, not glamorous either." she offered as a kind of rebuttal. There were a few more, quirks, but otherwise kids were kids. People were people. At most she had to remember that getting overly stressed could end up in something a bit different then an out burst of tears or violence. Possibly things blowing up, freezing, or a drastic and seemingly impossible change in form. So, different, not boring, but she didnt' see things as glamorous or major.

With a slow nod of understanding she looked over the menu again. "Ahh, dietary restrictions, I can understand that. It looks like you are in the clear."

Sol gets a coffee, with an espresso shot in it. It's a lot of caffeine implying his diet might not be about health reasons since he's definitely piling on the caffeine.

He'll get a scone, hey what's the harm. "It's a religious thing. Not a health thing I know I know I don't come off as the most spiritual person in the world." He says smirking.

"Well I believe that one of the worst parts of a job is when it get's boring, as long as it's not boring time doesn't ground to a halt." He says looking over at the papers.

No he didn't find going through information boring, he loved it seeing how fact and reality flowed together, deciphering the bigger picture it was a personal thrill, though he longed for the excitement of actually being a field agent he was in truth the most comfortable when surrounded with information.

Once their order came up she reached for a few napkins as well. He certainly volunteered personal information easily, it was a refreshing change. Jace knew that she herself was starting to get much more careful about her life. Whether that was from dealing with the black mail issues, the school, the students or just worry over what would be thought of her own child eventually, she didn't know. "Nonsense. Spiritual is completely different than religious. One is just more easily spotted."

Popping a few dollars into the tip jar she paid for the food and picked up her order. "Loving your work is important. I can't imagine getting through the bad days if there weren't good days! So, what is it you do, Mr. Mendel? If you don't mind me asking?"

So far it was simply small talk and safe enough. There was very little that was personal, but those kinds of questions took time. She didn't think she really even knew the people she was now working with. That would take much more time. There was at the very least a kind of trust there, no more dirty looks or underlying threats. Now that they all knew where they stood and if nothing else, there was a common goal. The rest, would come with time. She hoped.

"I'm a Data Analylist I go through information try to figure out what it means, look at large bodies of reports and those type of things." Sol says sitting down and straightening his papers up. "Go over facts and see if they can be useful, that sort of thing, though it's nice to get out from behind a desk now and again."

He will sip his coffee and put down one of the papers he had been ready to look at having someone for him to drink coffee with when he got out of the office was a nice change of pace as well. "I know not very exciting."
