A small, honest smile settled on Sarah's pale face as her offer was accepted. It had been a while since she'd gone through the steps of making a new friend all on her own. She gave little shrug, releasing the sticky, fluffy thing of goodness to it's new owner, slightly proud of herself for offering it to someone in need.
Again, the older mutant went back to silently listening to the other two, trying to remember what Jean had said about her powers. She was sure there had been many very large words involved, but at that time Sarah wasn't exactly...paying attention to very much around her. Like her consciousness was trying to listen to things under water, or at least that's what it felt like. If that even made sense. When Lorna mentioned her power briefly, the redhead tucked it away in her memory, glad to have a small bit of curiosity sated. Though now she wanted more explanation on this whole 'ka-pow' business. It sounded kind of unstable.
As Lorna explained in brief terms how to go about becoming a junior Xman, Sarah's mind drifted once more. Back to the raid, to the chaos of human emotion that was her return home the night after her mutation appeared, all just some heaping mush of hectic noise memory. Screaming and crashing and short thundered orders barked seconds before action was needed. It contrasted so starkly with the 'now', the foliage and blue sky, all those impossibly vibrant plants. Lorna's Kermit-green hair. The quiet, pleasantness of the passed several days...or weeks...or years... "Helluva time." Ray-Ray muttered without really realizing she'd even opened her mouth, head turned to the side, eyes directed towards a rose bush yet seeing something a million memories away.

Perhaps the adults and teachers of the school liked using build words just to try and confound the younger students that walked the halls of the Xavier Institute. "Magnetize stuff and what-not. That sounds way cooler than what I can do. I think that'd be awesome to do." He listened to Lorna as she explained the necessities of becoming a junior x man. It seem like a lot of work. And Gale wasn't always the most enthusiastic when it came to work.
"Seems you gotta be all determined hehe. I'd probably screw something up on more than one occasion." He smiled at the girls. He was getting along rather well with them. Much better than he would have ever presumed. The classes needed for furthering oneself didn't seem all that bad though. Plus Ethics sounded super fun...mainly because he hadn't the first clue what ethics was. Leadership classes? He'd more than likely give the wrong orders and what not. He wouldn't hate being kidnapped by a power hungry mutant and surviving if it made him a superhero. But he shouldn't focus on that anyways. Not when he would be teaching after Xaviers.
He smiled at Ray-Ray's words. Least she wasn't one of those mute goth kids. "So. Do you guys, like, no what you want to do after you finish school and all. I mean, say for instance everything turns out smoothly and the need for a super hero drops." He said making a thumbs down. He wasn't trying to down anyone only being rational. "I mean, like, have you two thought about a family or anything like that...or is it just me." He said with a laugh.

“I just think they give us a bunch of classes and stuff so we don’t get into trouble. Idle hands and all that…” Lorna rolled her eyes as she pulled down the wrapper of her muffin. She shrugged a bit and smirked. “You know how old people are.”
She took a bite of her muffin enjoyed the cake like goodness. Her eyes slid to Ray-Ray as she said something that sounded very random. For some reason she doubted that the redhead was paying attention and slightly curious where mentally the other girl was.
After a moment, she blinked realizing she was staring. Her eyes quickly went to the muffin she was eating. Then her eyes bounce back to Gale when he asked about their future plans. “If suddenly mutants can live freely among humans without having bricks thrown through the windows or at their head I am go to become an archeologist like Indiana Jones.” She shrugged and stuck out her tongue. “Or if I can’t keep my algebra grade up I might become a history teacher.”
“As for starting a family…” Lorna raised an eyebrow slightly. “We just met isn’t it little early for offering?” She asked as she took another bite of her muffin.

A slow grin curled up around the right side of Sarah's mouth when Lorna mentioned wanting to be like Indiana Jones. It gave her a mental image of the green haired girl dressed exactly like the fictional hero of history. The look actually suited her.
The question though...was a bit off-setting for the older girl. It simply wasn't something that had crossed her mind, not for a while at least. She was still trying to grasp what was going on now, so the future was still rather foggy. It wasn't like the young goth didn't have plans before her mutation appeared, but now it just felt like she had heard those dreams and goals from some stranger. But feeling the need to be polite and respond, Sarah thought on it for a minute, brow furrowing to its typical thought-frown. "Wanted to compose music before I came here." She admitted, trying to ignore the slight twist in her stomach at the thought of her old life. "But now..." There was a pause and the frown deepened. "Kinda hard to know what you can do without being skinned by certain people." Jesus, she was starting to sound like Logan. When did that happen?
