I codenamed this unfinished project "Uber Hewki" mostly because I was trying to make use of all the extra hewkii parts I had aquired (he was only 2.50 each on LEGO S@H, and I wanted enough ammo clips to make a full ring) and because it almost looks luke it could be a giant hewkii.

Pardon the sideways pictures, having some computer trouble:

At one point in time I thought I might use his hallow space to seat a rider, and make it into an exo suit, while trying to add in some visible bears that turned when bending the joints.

Im also wondering if I should make him some sort of titan or large creature. I debated on making him an Uber Hewkii, but I dont have a supersized Hewkii head or the skills to build one out of the properly colored technic, and I dont have any gunmetal'ish system bricks to make a decent oversized system head out of.

UPDATE:

Ive opted to make him some sort of mechanoid, hes probably going to be a mining robot.

I can never seem to get good photographs of anything large, and the photos still come out sideways O_o.

I hope to redo the legs are make them look more interesting, but the upper body and arms are mostly done. I hope to experiment and get a better support system for the elbow and shoulder joints. I improved on the back support mechanism, and now he has a greater range of motion.

Stylise the mask, I'd say. It's not as if the body's a perfect scale-up, so why should the mask be? You could use tubing instead of all bars to get the organic look, and use those little trans-green system frisbees that collect in their millions to achieve eyes and a mouth for the glowing face behind the mask. That said, that may not be that easy... I'm still working on a design for the mask of my own titanic model. A year on.

Make it a large titian, but with a custom alien like head. If you try using the regular toa head with a large mask, it would look awfully bad. Brutaka is a good example. Who cares if "that big mask" makes his head look normal compared to his body. His head is still small. :| It is embarrassing.

Overall, I like teh bone structure of this MOC so far.

The head does look good, but it still seems spindly in places.

However, I can appreciate that armouring MOCs of this size can be... troublesome.

The armoring has been mostly trial and error, and this time has gone better than expected, for the upper half at least. The legs on the other hand, havent gone so well. Id have overhauled them already if I could find some good armor parts to work with. Im thinking of improvising a design from the kardas dragon, and maybe tank treads.
