O_O oooooooh shiny.
I especialy like some of those new parts, like the zamor launchers and the handcuffs. I wonder if they threw those in because handcuffs were used in the Rise Of The Rookies video and got alot of attention? |

The villains are great, and I suppose the heros(must they re-use the old helmets?) but I feel the need to point out a few facts(and rip-offs)
First off, THORNAXX? If that isn't such an obvious rip-off, then I don't know what is. Split-Face just sounds too much like Two-Face, and yet ANOTHER Batman ripoff. Black Phantom just looks like another Fire Lord rip off, I was glad when they scrapped the design, but bringing it back? Toxic Reapa just sounds too gangster like(maybe that's what they were shooting for) but is yet another rip off, this time of the Grim reaper. Rocka's helmet is an obvious rip-off of Kopaka's mask of X-ray vision. Now that I have the cons down, I'll now list the pros. Even though Breaze's swords are too much like Lego:Kingdom's, they're still nice. The new system launchers look nice, but it's a little iffy whether or not they will work, but they look like they will. The new knight theme looks nice (at least it looks like a knight theme) but maybe give breaze a little less bulk(maybe all of them) And now my indecisions: Surge's sword/lightning launcher thing mirroring the 1.0 set's lightning launcher yes, that's it. However I find it interesting how they only released five of each, instead of the initial six, perhaps they got lazy... |

I'm too nice. Using my nonexistent knowledge of the Polish language, I've - attempted to - translate the text on each page. Thus far, I have the villains' page done (keep in mind this is extremely rough):
"Catch and Capture the Criminals in Handcuffs! Bigger and better! -Special skills and equipment suited to each mission -Increased number of elements allows to build larger models and more fun -Five different missions - each criminal against a particular hero -Special points for the "Breakout" game with every product Factors affecting Success: (?) -Encouraging collecting with each mission, combo models, and game points -New, unique packaging attracting consumer attention -Larger packaging presenting the advantages and features of the product -New online game "Breakout" causing increase sales and interest in a series For Sale in January!" All right, the hero's page isn't too different, just the left-column title and first bullet point: "Time for a Breakthrough Year! -More features, launchers and handcuffs for all the heroes" This post has been edited by Iro the Dude on Sep 15 2011, 11:46 PM |

The heros look like a Revamp 1.0 version.

I wouldnt call them rippoffs so much as spoofs and reused ideas, especialy when reusing thier own ideas. The most blatant being splitface, probably the only villain Im going to buy, is at least original looking if not a new concept in character design.
It makes sense to reuse the old masks to me, but Im guessing they could be placeholders, look at the preliminary image watermarks, and the head villain's armor which has the telltale grainy look of a prototype part that was carved by machine instead of being molded. |

Quick thoughts:
Basically no interest in the Superheroes theme as far as the sets themselves go (minus Iron Man; his head mold looks a lot better than the version shown at Comic-con), but the Joker and Green Lantern 9and maybe Hulk) are definite buys for the purple and green cladding. I honestly am surprised that I ended up being pretty discouraged from buying Furno, Surge, and Breeze. They look good, but I was really hoping for some new masks (especially for the latter two). That said, Rocka and Evo look great. It's pretty nice to still have some Glatorian-style masks coming out. The villains, as usual for me, make or break the line. I'd really like to see a more finalized version of the Black Phantom before making too many judgements on it. That said, I'd have liked it if he was solid black as opposed to having bits of red, lime, and silver. I get some major Vezon vibes from his mask. I also kinda' hope the corrupted Quaza spikes go, replaced by solid black ones. Thornraxx looks really cool, and we'll hopefully be getting some colored skeleton pieces from it. People have speculated it has teal, but that color from the late nineties/early-2000s has been discontinued, so... Regardless, it's a nice little mosquito-type set. Splitface is aesthetically sound, but perhaps not really that interesting compared to the less-humanoid villains. Gotta' say, though, the mask is awesome. Toxic Reaper's not the most interesting, either, but has a lot of trans-lime, so that's a nice touch. Pretty sound little dude overall. Jawblade's a nice sharkman thing, haha. Really solid-looking set. Hopefully, the Breakout theme will continue into the summer with Stormer, Stringer, Bulk, and Nex (plus a new guy?) as the heroes. |

I'm interested mostly in buying the villains, mostly because the heroes look bleh to me except for maybe Evo and Rocka.
Thornraxx reminds me of the Nui-Rama in a way, and I've always like how Lego did the building designs for some of the insect or part-insect sets in Bionicle and Hero Factory. Toxic Reapa looks cool, even though he does have similarities to Meltdown and Rotor, but the actual idea of a skeleton-like robot shooting toxic waste seems like a good idea. Black Phantom, looks like a better and more darker version of the Fire Lord, and for some reason the set reminds me of a Necron Lord from Warhammer 40K. SplitFace looks like a robotic version of Two-Face, and its not that interesting looking to me but I may consider buying it just simply to have another character in the stop-motion movies I'll make in the future. Jawblade reminds me of some of those islander tribes that believed in shark gods and spirits, and the fact is this the only underwater Hero-Factory set I know of, so maybe I'll buy him too. |

Those Heroes look like total garbage. First of all, they don't have an upper chest-plate so that the Glatorian heads can move move freely, right? Yeah, but they have a ton of armor everywhere else. >_> Not only that, but they're just downright ugly. I can barely make sense of Rocka's arm and pretty much all of Surge. Oh, and as a side note, reusing the old helmets was a bad decision, IMO.
The villains, however, I must say are looking pretty good. Thornraxx would have to be my favorite, followed closely by Mr. Shark and Toxic Reaper. I'll probably be picking up Thornraxx and Toxic Reaper(I refuse to call him "Reapa") because my sister called dibs on Mr. Shark, lol. But, in my opinion, Splitface and the Black Phantom are looking very dull and just plain bad, respectively. =/ Also, that Joker and that Hulk have AMAZING parts, specifically the former. Just when I got disappointed that none of the HF sets have any purple(especially Evo) , I saw the Joker. =P Still, I probably won't get any Superheroes because my interest in MOCing has been decreasing recently. But all in all, this line looks pretty good. Savage Planet still looks like the best to me, this one is still good. Let's just hope the Heroes in the next wave aren't as ugly. Disclaimers note: I do know that these are just preliminaries and are subject to change, but they couldn't change so much as to change my opinion, I think.
