You may be a little confused on what a generation is, so let me explain. There are really 3 generation of toa. First was the action/movable. This encompassed the 2001-2005 toa sets. Why? These toa had gears you built in that allowed you wo make the toa "move" without moving their limbs. Also, there was the Inika style toa that had no gears, but had more movable joints. This encompassed the 2006-2009 sets. And last, there was the miniature figurines that were used for the 2010 STARS. So, Which was your favorite?

Mine were movable.

The second generation. I don't really like the Inika torsos but without them Bionicles would have all been really inflexible and have gear actions.

No bro, just sets. However, I prefer custom to all.

2nd generation, although I think the Hordika were a good comprimise, because they were somewhat flexible, but also had gear actions. i personally like the inika torso, because of its versitility.

I loved the inikia torsos up until they and the piraka designs were being spammed for every other set XP

Its hard to call one my favorite, but I liked the more mechanical stuff, and I wish every generation had some sort of mechanism.

The first. It stuck to the Technic heritage that BIONICLE has. It was an action figure, but it was more. Indirect movement was a very attractive feature, and one I still enjoy (though I prefer self powered).

…Im stuck between 1 and 2. 2was good for posing, but the Inika/Piraka torsos got really repetative after awhile. 1 gave bit more playability, but really clamped down on posing.

I liked the 2004-2005 generation. They not only had flexible joints and movable heads, but they still have gear function arms.
