Well, hello there. I'm Xinlo. You may know me from BZP and/or TTH. You may not.

Anyway, I'm here to present to you my most popular MOC to date, tha actually became a hot topic on BZP, which I find amazing. It's a revamp of Tahu using around 300 pieces.

With a few tweaks, Tahu Nuva

Now, before you say it, I know the blue pins clash. I've taken it apart long ago, so it can't be fixed. Move on with your lives. =P

Not bad at all, though I think the nuva form looks better. If you ever rebuikd / revamp him, maybe he could be a little more strealined, but I like the colorscheme and use of parts.

... and old fashion black friction pegs are so scarce nowadays >_< Ivee got a four plus cannister moc who needs black friction pegs.

I've made one of those, but your one is far better. Mine is much smaller, and looks like it was made in 2001 by lego designers, but your one is simply magnificent. Next time Lego wants a new Toa team, they should hire MoCers, not designers. If we had a team of these instead of the Mistika and Phantoka, 2008 would have been much more successful (much more expensive, but more successful).

Edit: I agree with Imatron about the pegs - all but two of mine are accounted for, and I'm keeping track all of them. Within the last months my 'necessary' components have started to become scarce: "'2' longs", "'5' longs", Black frictions, Black '2' long rotating pieces, blue frictions, Metru Heads, Metru eyes, decent Kanohi... I'm having a severe headlessness problem.

Thanks guys.

@Tron: And most other people said the Nuva for looked mediocre. =P As for the streamlined-ness, well, it's difficult to do. I'm not so great with armour consistency; I just see a piece, and if it's orange, I try to use it. I don't really check for the streamlined look.

@Avak: Thank you. =) And I totally agree; I've been saying that for years. Though I'm not sure if it would be more successful, as what parent in their right mind would pay $30 for a canister set? And yes, I have a ton of black plus rod pins, but I've used them all up on other MOCs, and I only have maybe 15 black friction pegs, and I lost half of them. =/

Without a doubt, that's probably by far the best Tahu revamp I've ever seen, and that applies to both MOCs. Dunno why anyone would say that the Nuva looked mediocre unless you posted it on BZPower, because most MOCers there have impossibly high standards. The relatively average stuff that I posted there failed epically, only earning a single comment in a community of 45,000 members DX.

But anyway, I also like the firesword on the normal Tahu; did you get it from Ackar? Color schemes are also nice, and the purple tubes underneath the Nuva's armor really reminded me of his movie counterpart. Overall, I can't think of much else to say other than that these are some really fantastic MOCs! biggrin.gif
