The Unity Hall is a great chasm at the center of Miraka Nui, once an active Valcano, the remains have been carved out to create the island's main access to the different wahi. The sun shines through the wide opening at the top during the day, and lightstones guide the way at night.

The eldest and most skilled residents have the honor of using carved out caves to run their place of business. Less tenured residents have to set up a temporary booth.

A transport blimp hovers over the volcano's mouth, casting the buildings on the northern side of the crater into shadow. As it descends, the shadow grows smaller and smaller, shrinking to the rough size and shape of the blimp itself as it touches down. The gangplank lowers and extends, and a hatch halfway down the side opens. A few Matoran are distracted from their tasks by the alien-looking vehicle, its silver-green chassis standing out in the browns and reds surrounding it. From within steps a Toa in tan armour, who looks back at her partner - a secnond Toa, as well as the blimp's pilot.
"You're sure you don't want dropped off uphill?" he asks, pointing in the rough direction of mount Kikoru.
"I'm sure." she replies, backing towards the gangplank while talking. Smirking, she adds "It's not as if I'm going to have to fight through rahkshii."
"They call 'em Rahkshi here. Remember that." he retorts with a mockery of the smirk she gave him.
As she turns away, the second Toa calls "Nuara!" and throws down a rolled-up map of the island. "And don't get lost. I'll pick you up in two weeks or so."
Smiling to herself and shaking her head, Nuara crams the map absent-mindedly into her bag while retrieving another document, looking at it briefly and rolling it up again.
As she disembarks, the first Toa waves her off before disappearing back inside. The gangplank is raised, and within a minute the blimp is already out of view beyond the rim of the volcano. Drawing her gaze away from the circle of blue sky, Nuara turns around, searching for the path up to Mount Kikoru. Sighing, she admits defeat and removes the map from her backpack, ironing out the creases by holding against the nearest flat surface - the billboard outside the Copper Huna - and rubbing it over once with her forearm. Muttering to herself, she locates the tunnel on the map, and matches it up against one of the many pathways leading out of the crater. Ignoring the inquisitive glances from a few of the Matoran, she heads out towards the Ussel Way.

Monasti stood up, dazed after the blimp took off from on top of him. "Darn blimp" he mutters as he reaches for his axe and walks away, still in pain.

Nuara enters this area, slightly dizzy, but unhurt. Unlike the Matoran sitting on her right, who's belt snapped. Dismounting shakily, she walks towards the centre of the hall, staring up at the volcanos mouth again, then back down at the buildings around her.

...Tiring of kicking a small stone around, Nuara looks back towards the Ga-Wahi entrance, noticing that the debris in the tunnel has now been cleared.
"Finally!" she breaths, an edge of acute irritation in her voice.

Off topic: That 'finally' wasn't aimed at you, Immy. It was aimed at me for not noticing what had been up for five days.

Nuara enters just in time to see the blimp touch down. She runs over, practically throwing herself up the boarding ramp, almost knocking Takal down as he opens one of the hatches.
"Got them!" she proclaims triumphantly, swinging her bag off of her back and into the second Toa's arms. He scarecly raises them in time, but manages to grab one of the straps before it touches the ground. As Takal hoists it back up and opens it, he pulls out the orb Imatron gave her.
"What's this?"
"A way to link our island with this one. But we'll need a computer. And the only place on the island with that kind of technology is-"
"No!" Takal cuts her off. "I'm not going in there again!"
"Well, I'm not going on my own." Nuara retorts "So unless you have an alternative-"
"Which I do."
"-then... Wait, what?"
"You've met people here, right? You could ask some of them to help you out."
"And what happened to the great Toa Takal?"
Takal's mask spreads into grin "Says the one wanting her hand held?"
"I- What?- You!-" she splutters, storming off towards Ko-Wahi to hunt down the others.

"Look, there goes a Toa now, Nuara." Takal jibes, pointing after Solek.
Glaring at her Brother, Nuara turns on her heel and follows the other Toa back towards the Water Gate.

"Wait... How?" Nuara stutters, deactivating the lightstone, temporarily blinded by the Hall's lighting system.
"He used a sword." Takal explains from the deck of the blimp, behind Solek. "I'm still trying to get my head around it myself."
Passing Solek, Nuara brings the tablet up to Takal. "Imatron thought we could use this to set up a teleporter system to get a quick exit from the hive if need be. We need you to carve the design into rocks or lightstones."
"Glyph tech?" Takal examines it for a few minutes. "They used some of that in Sona Nui. All concealed within the stonework, but it was definitely there. I think I know how to make the follower stones."
"Great!"
"And this is the sum of your efforts?" he points down at Solek.
"Well, I know Imatron's coming, but I'm not sure if Yurikk is."
"Yurikk?"
"He's a Toa of... Solek, what was he again?"

"Apparently destiny, if I am remember correctly, a powerless element. And to answer both of your questions, my sword is made of solidified elemental energy, and is equiped with a flight board function, and no, I don't know how to make solidified energy." answers Solek.

"Destiny. right..." Nuara scoffs.
"Odder Toa have been created." Takal admits, however.
Nuara grins widely "And you're living proof."
"Look who's talking!" the Toa of Thunder laughs back. "So... When are the others arriving?"
"Imatron'll probably be using a portal, so he'll be here in a few minutes." Nuara explains. "While you're in the hall, Solek, you should get partnered with that rahkshii."
Confusion flashes accross Takal's face, but he says nothing.

"Thanks, I was planning on dropping a tablet, but this would work." said Solek, and did as Nuara suggested, and walks back with the Rahkshi in tow.

"Well, you must be peceptive to have noticed my elemental research chambers picked up on that high level abnormality in Yurikk. At first I thought him to be just a telaporter, but within a few days of his arrival, my machines had picked up on an unusual trait within him. The only reason my machines could identify it is from information on an unusual mask specimen, of which it's eminations are similar. This mask is said to have the power of destiny, but being a complicated power we dont know how it works and the full spectrum of it's power.

That said, its probably best to let him reveal this nature on his own, assuming he knows he has it."

Off topic: When playing in character like this its best to assume your characters dont know whats in the character data topic, and the guild hall is optional. Otherwise theres no flashing sign. Yurikk, if you have any objection to this improv let me know, we might just have to re wright a little bit if so.

(Yurikk's powers and personality have changed so much since I started playing the Miraka Nui RPG, so I'll just count this as non-connan, just using the same character but none of his storyline. wink.gif )

"Tablet? They use paper and protosheet (Off Topic: coined!) here. Tablets are just for making molds. Additionally, taking that Rahkshi to Waru Av might be a bad idea: one of the visitors to the island has pretty strong anti-Rahkshi beliefs."
Nuara's kanohi brightens up at the mention of her Bohrok friend "Zahnok's on Waru Av!?"
Seeing her expression, Takal begins to smile too, as he says "And I take it by your unnoticed arrival that you're Imatron? Nice to meet the both of you."

"Nice to meet you too Takal, and don't worry, she hasnt exploded anything" Imatron says with a joking laugh.

"Though rumor has it an ice sculptor carved a Rahkshii so realistic and menacing in appearance that an unfamiliar toa vaporized it in of fright, needles to say he took it as a compliment, so no harm done, but you have a striking resembelance to the scultpors' description. You havent been sneaking around ko wahi have you?"

"Wait, it's a she? I thought that Rahkshi were genderless, and were reffered to as 'Sons of the Makuta'" Solek commented, confused.

(I had typed up my last post up before yours and forgot to click "post reply" right off. so it posted after yours instead.)

"I ment Nuara, as you said Rahkshi are typicaly genderless, but usually prefer to be referenced as "He" or "Him" on our island. The local population also have a "mark of rebelion" from their seperation with Makuta, Im sure he would be glad to paint it on his shell, but Nuara's freind Zahnok should receive proper warning."

Nuara grins sheepishly, staring down at her feet "Yeah, that was me..."
"Just one ice-rahkshi? I'd actually thought you'd end up melting a building into slag." Takal jokes.
"Any more of that, and I'll melt you into slag." the plasma Toa chuckles in reply.
"As for Zahnok, I'm not exactly certain where he is... It would be a good idea for you to stay on board until one of us finds him." Takal adds seriously.

"I have found what I needed, now I just need transport. Could you possibly lend me an airship?"

"He wasn't talking about the rahkshii..." Nuara cuts in irritably. "Besides, kraata don't have a gender. Imatron already said that. In the unlikely case that you did mean me, I'm plasma. And one-of-a-kind. Luckily."
"I suppose that means you're not coming with us? Guess you found out more than you bargained for. Good luck in whatever you're going to do." she adds, turning to Yurikk, arm outstretched in an offer for a fistpunch.

Nuara merely smiles and shakes her head at the Toa of Thunder's comments.

"Who said that I wasn't coming? I was talking about the Rahkshi, so don't get angry, plus being mutated is nothing compared to... well, if you ever have a shadow leech suck you dry, come to me and we'll have a fine chat about it." retorted Solek.

"Oh really? Try witnessing the destruction of your home by fire, and the deaths of everyone you ever knew and then you try to talk back to me!" Nuara practically screams back.
"Nuara..."Takal mutters, putting a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down.
"Besides." she adds in a slightly calmer tone "I was talking to Yurikk."
