TESTING NEW COLORSCHEME, FEEDBACK

This colorscheme is not final, Im still tweaking things to get them right. Im not trying to copy our old forums but match the front page news colors. This is the closest good looking match I have so far.

It looks pretty good. It's a little weird having it be so much lighter colors though.

Yeah, it looks a bit more polished now, but I wondering if its because Im so used to the old colors.

I tried getting some darker colors mixed in but they wound up being used for other functions besides what the generator labeled them for. However with a guide I can go in and change things one at a time, but its a little tricky. It sounded like EW may have known a bit more than I did about CSS, so hopefully he can come up with or modify this current skin more skillfully.

It looks good so far.

And I agree with the lighter colour thing. But I suppose that will change eventually.

Well then by your deffinition I should say making a new colorscheme.

Im just used to saying skin and most people understood what I ment when I said it, but for confusion Ill try my best to say colorscheme from now on.

Do you guys think if I made the bars between each post that held pm/email, etc match the color of the next oldest, bionicle news, next newest bar, would that look better and help break up the lighter bowns better?

Would it just be the space between the posts or the whole background?

I'm sure you would happily have made a full skin when you had a spare 20 seconds, wouldn't you?

I ment the spaces in between each post. right between the bar that holds your name, and the previouls post's signature.

I wanted to make that the same color of brown as the brown bar that only appears at the bottom of the page that appears right above the advertisement.

Alternativley we could make the whole background that shade of darker brown which should also do the job, though I had hoped to keep it that way sonce it matches the news page colors. On the other hand thats much easier to change than the bar between each post, and you guys might like that better.. Ill switch that on for a bit and see what you guys think.

EDIT: Hmmm... Either I left the feild for that color blank or the bars between each post automaticaly match the color of the background, I might not be able to change just the backfground or the bars after all. At the time of this post Ive darkened the background.

It looks better with the darker background but would it be possible to put black borders on the boxes?

I can try, Ive also noticed some borders are coming up white and I dont like that much. Also I like the shade that the text is coming out as, what do you think of it?

Yeah the text looks great.

Right now the only things that are missing for me are slightly darker shades for the two alternating post box colors and black borders.

I think alternative post colours would look not quite as good.

Perhaps if you design a graphic like before for the background Immy?

We might get a new graphic, unless you guys liked the infected Hau background and forum emblem thats on the old forums page?

Ill probably do the black borders or at least give them a try but, Im not sure I want the alternating post colors any darker. Its one thing if they'r right next to eachother but since they have that middle bar between each of them then we dont really even need the slghtly off shades they have now.

Well they are already alternating. The shades are very close so it's hard to see.

What happened to the old original infected hau background? Not that I don't like your custom version Immy, but that one did look more official.

The old background and logo are not owned by MoD. We need to produce a new logo/background that the site can secure rights to, or see if a member has something suitable for us to use with their permission, preferably something completely original.

Also, you guys can see the bars between the posts right? I have an email and PM button that appears on a darker brown bar between each post, Im wondering if only staff can see that bar.

What about something like the main bar at the top, but just the mask?

While a background would be nice, I honestly don't see it as a necessity at all.

Right now I honestly think everything would be perfect if the borders were put in place.

i dont know if this would be good or not, but does anyone remember the really old background with the matoran alphabet in teh background? i liked that..... idk if we can use that now though.

We couldnt use that old one, but perhaps we can make a new one? Ive got to have that Matoran font somewhere, all Id need to do is color it or have someone color it, but if we do why not have everyone suggest some phrases to go in there?
