My own Bionicle story started a few years back, I created a story called the Interactive MOC Story, where I took input from everyone to compile certain aspects of the story and build up on the main character.

Together we came up with Miraka Nui (I pronounced it meer aye ka). The main character was Kynos, a Ko Toa with a mechanical right arm. The island has unique atributes that make toa commonplace, and I added characters such as the "Horrors" which were an alternate transformation to that of toa which Matoran became under hazardous situations. I was even given the opportunity to make it into an RPG for the site, using a bunch of topics and linking them together to represent places in Miraka Nui, which was fun while it had lasted.

Monasti - November 26, 2009 06:43 PM (GMT)
I'm just going to start following the story.

And I am going to buy as many old sets as I can.

ToaNuvaTom - November 26, 2009 11:52 PM (GMT)
Well, I for one will continue H'es a Tanma! Oh, the epicness. Maybe do a little fanfic work? Wow, I am so mad.

Edit:
Yay! my topic's been linked!

Luke - November 27, 2009 08:35 PM (GMT)
Yeah I'll probably start buying some old sets on ebay that I missed too. I'll also probably start catching up with all the story that I've missed over the last couple years by getting all the books that I don't have.

Matoro - November 28, 2009 12:21 AM (GMT)
Well, I bet in bricklink the BIONICLE sets are going to be expensive. But I have enough LEGO sets. No point of me spending any more. So I am just going to keep on building Bionicle creations. And post them online.

Darn, I wish brickshelf would be online. I want to post some interesting creations of mine. And Google's Picsea can hold so much.

Adrninistrator - November 28, 2009 02:17 AM (GMT)
Ive used brichshelf once or twice, and they tend to have good deals. I bought Tarakava long after it was discontinued for around $40.00 USD, which was ten dollars cheaper than it would have been in stores at full price. I even found some good deals at events like Brickfair and Brickfest conventions, like a Manas for $80, where youd expect people to charge a premium on these classic sets where they'd be in high demand...Then again Bionicle isnt exactly popular among the majority participants at those events, curse you licoln logs.

Yep, looks like some of my older urls have moo'd out on me with brickshelf too

Luke - November 28, 2009 06:30 PM (GMT)
I was able to grab the Manas around '05 when they were on clearance at KB Toys. They were only $30 :D

Ria - November 28, 2009 07:47 PM (GMT)
I've been surfing Ebay and I've found some rather interesting items. I've found Cahdok and Gahdok for £25 on buy it now. Numerous full collections (Visorahk, Turaga etc). I think there is even a lot with some misprints/prototypes. The best part is, most of thees items have very low intrest, it may be possiable to get some well cheap stuff. I may have also found some unopened mask packs.

I plan to keep Bionicle alive with my comic, which I will post as soon as brickshelf is working again. There'll be an estimated 117 Bionicle characters in the comic, which is good. Even better, I'm going to cross promote my comic with the Mountain Dew 2010 DEWmocracy campaign, meaning Bionicle will be getting quite a bit of attention very soon.

How are you going to do that? Wow, i wan to do this now!

Avak - December 8, 2009 05:16 PM (GMT)
As long as MoD stays up, I'm going to continue writing. I hope everyone else does, too. It can get very quiet in the stories and epics section. I'll have a go at persuading Ria to finish 'The way the World Ends.' I still need a name for the 2010 story, though...

Well, it can't be done yet, because I must wait until sometime next April when the flavors are released & I can take pics of the sets with the bottles/cans & things like that. Until then, Bionicle will be largely featured in my comic, which I'm going to feature here.

Kirby - January 3, 2010 11:06 PM (GMT)
I got the stars yesterday...my BIONICLE DEWmocracy campaign will be able to kick off as soon as the 3 flavors come out...& Stars Gresh & Autobot Skids will represent Mtn Dew Distortion, Stars Takanuva & Autobot Rachet(G1 repaint of movie voyager figure) will represent Mtn Dew WhiteOut, & Stars Tahu & TF: RotF Leader Class Optimus Prime will represent Mtn Dew Typhoon. This will advertise Transformers, Bionicle, When Worlds Collide(my comic), & DEWmocracy. Sound good?

Kirby - February 11, 2010 10:36 PM (GMT)
I thought of a way LEGO could've kept Bionicle alive...give us a year or two of what would be called BIONICLE: Shattered Glass. In this alternate dimension, all the bad guys are good & all the good guys are bad. I may write an epic about it...

mhwang - February 13, 2010 02:40 AM (GMT)
Get the old sets and collect them!

True...but I think most people either already have them or don't want them. BTW, see my above idea.

Torongo - February 16, 2010 03:08 AM (GMT)
I would continue with my Bionicle Chronicles but they've developed to a point where I can make them in my own Universe. And that's were they're staying, sorry. :(

Don't argue with me Ria they're the best sets LEGO has made in a long time.

O_O You had me going for a second there. Sorry about the he/she mixup.

Avak - March 2, 2010 07:34 PM (GMT)
By sheer coincidence, the year bionicle ends is the year our (Ria and I) story splits off at a tangent... Besides, Bionicle have been stealing my ideas for 2010 storyline (seriously, I wrote 'Purpose and Identity' in October and the number of similarities just isn't funny [though for the moment, I won't highlight the specifics - spoilers]) and I get a rush of ideas... It's quite saddening that bionicle ends practically the same time as my childhood (give or take three months from my 16'th birthday), but I suppose that this is the best time that it could end.

Immy, your post correction didn't work. You've corrected it to say "He's just expressing her opinion...". It doesn't make the situation much better.

By the way, where can I find the latest comic online? It's been ages since Bionicle.com updated their page.

It's ending at the same time as your childhood too? I'm in my secodn semester of 9th grade, going to turn 15 at the end of April...kinda sad that both my childhood & Bionicle must leave me at the same time...trust me, I feel your pain.

I am currently making my own Bionicle fan movie!

Adrninistrator - March 14, 2010 02:48 AM (GMT)
How much of the film have you finished, Id like to hear more about it.

Well, I just came up with the idea a few days ago. I want to make a movie about the islanders of Mata Nui PRE-lawsuit style. That means Tohunga! Since I have a terrible hand at 3D modeling and animating, I will use what's available. That means hitting "screen record" on a few various video games, mainly the "Tales of the Tohunga" game with Takua, also called "Lego Bionicle".

I've already started scriptwriting and I've taken various "Screen Tests" with Takua.

Whoa thats amazing. Maybe you can team up with the BQOTT dude. Here is his website: http://www.bqottmovie.com/main.html

He is also going to try and make a epic Bionicle movie too.
Anyway good luck on the film production, Eleven Guy. Oh yeah, your remix is awesome!!!

Perhaps my movie will act as a sort of prequel?

I, for a while have been working on a stop-motion two part movie about 2006 and 2007 and will finally get to it. I've been scripting and editing sets to increase pose ability. I designed cloaks for order of Mata nui members, and adding character differences between the piraka, and baraki. funds are down right now, but will come up (eventualy) it is VERY low budget which means windows paint special effects   So it won't be eye catching. none the less, it will have the feel of bionicle's golden age. I am working on a teaser which I will release soon. I will do it this time.

MS Paint special effects? No, that's fail...use photoshop...ok, you don't have to use photoshop, but please, use anything BUT MS Paint...

Adrninistrator - March 20, 2010 03:31 PM (GMT)
Depends on the one using ms paint and the style the artist wants. Go to bluebookofdoom.comicgenesis.com for one example of an all ms paint edited comic. Photoshop is expensive, and he does have a budget.
