After the second war, Dume consulted with the war leaders and finnaly concluded that the Vahki needed to be restablished, and reopened the hives. Major differences have been made, the original Vahki were easy to destroy, and now have been made with a Exsidion/Protosteel mix, and now thier programming is to subdue or destroy invaders, not make peace as that is the Toa's jobs, however, if a Toa has trouble, he or she can call for help, state the emergency, and the Vahki will relenlessly aid the Toa. Matoran and Toa can also ask for aid for trivial things such as carrying heavy objects.
