This may be hard for me because I have trouble taking apart my BIONICLE sets. :D When I make a MOC I order all the parts I need through bricklink. :lol:

I have no cores. Can we MOC them?

The cores can be MOCed, I put that in the judging details. The moced cores dont have to look like a stock core, they just have to look core'ish, at the very least they could be a transparent one stud circle thingy stuck into the torso.

I connsidered a "no bending" rule, but some parts and even a few official Bionicle sets, combiners, and especialy alternate models rely on an amount of bending.

As long as the bending isnt so drastic that it would cause irreversable damage to the part, I don't think Id have a problem with it.

REMEMBER: If you post your creation early you ARE ALLOWED to make changes, just as long as your entry is finalized by my deadline.

I'm just bending a couple of parts a very small amount. ;)

Well, my entry, Heavy Trooper Jairo Jiménez, is just a few tweaks away from being ready to post. Just want to clarify - he can be about the height of BIONICLE Toa, correct? Don't want to be breaking any contest rules. Also, would Lewa Phantoka's mask be acceptable in place of a Hero helmet?

Yurikk used a mask and Immy hasn't corrected him yet...

O_o I gues my rules were a bit more confusing than I had thought, or are you guys just being extra carefull not to accidentaly disqualify your entry?

The only thing your MOC has to have, is a design that shows a core, or implies he has a core. The name and background are important too, but if you just called him Bob Bobbington and described him as "some random hero" that would be acceptable.

The rest is really up to you, anything listed under judging notes (which Im probably about to rename "suggestions" to make it less confusing) is just a recomendation for you to help distinguish your hero from a toa, for anyone who has been ignoring the HF line up to now in particular.

He can be any size, I was recomending between Matoran and toa size to discourage the contest from being imbalanced by a ten stud tall hero being forced to compete with a ten cannister tall hero.

Bionicle masks for helmets are perfectly fine.

The plan right now is to have a poll, but if we have judges instead, you can if you dont enter a creation. Speaking of which, would everyone prefer a poll or if we had judges?

Hmmmm, good question, probably judges because I'm thinking not many people will be left to vote. Most of them will probably enter. ;)

Last time, we all voted. But we had to say who we voted for to make sure there were no 'self-voters.'

Also, on the judging vs. voting matter, I say we should go with judging. There's not too many entries, so I'd figure that'd be the easier route to take.

Well, I'll definitely be entering this. May have to destroy a few dear MOCs to do so, but I would really like that prize. I'll be starting tomorrow. Have to gather my ideas.
