Amelia sat at the fire in the Slytherin room contemplating what, well anyone could guess. It was well known that Amelia Warrington was all about power, it supposedly ran in her DNA. All the talk of wand pieces and factions forming about had put a little pep in her step as of late and she'd seemed to be scheming ever since the news had reached her. She was determined to be one of the few and proud that happened upon one of these powerful artifacts. She just had to figure out where a piece would be hiding so that she could "accidentally on purpose" stumble upon it. She knew which faction she'd take it too as well. The Knights of Shadow were undoubtedly the most powerful group and it was highly likely that if she got in good with Drayven Montgomery, he'd make her an important part of the new wizarding world once everything changed.
She sighed. All that dreaming was well and good except that she still needed to find a piece of that damn wand. It was horrible having to be cooped up in Hogwarts, and it was all thanks to that little brat Abby Black for getting her into the mess that had set her on house arrest. As the sun faded past the windows Amelia looked down at the tacky silver bracelet that was permanently attached around her delicate wrist. It was that annoying little monster that had set her in this predicament and now she was having to wait a whole week until she could go out snooping for that wand. Abby was going to pay... but not until after the gaudy silver tracking device came off her arm. It was completely unfair, the little devil had gotten the best of her and Amelia had lost her temper. Now neither Slytherin girl could sneak out after curfew because Professor Saxby had been cunning enough to invent these little tracking bracelets. He'd know if she were out after the curfew had been set and she'd be in even more trouble than she already was. It was ridiculous.
She'd tried quite the number of spells to try and cast off the ugly bracelet but had had no luck yet. She wondered if plain old brute force would break it off. A small smirk curled the edge of her mouth. It had been nearly three days since the punishment had been put in place and Amelia was going crazy from being stuck in her dorm at night. She was willing to try anything for freedom by now. She walked over to the large stone fireplace and smacked her arm against it. In hind sight it wasn't the most brilliant plan she'd ever had, in fact, it was quite stupid but she'd been desperate and it was a last resort. "BLOODY FREAKING HELL!" She cried very loudly as she recoiled her arm and cradled it against her chest. "Oooh, that was stupid. Damn, damn, damn." She moaned as she rocked back and forth. "It's not FAIR!" She had the urge to hit something else but the pain in her arm was too much to bear and she fell back into the couch she'd been sitting on.

Whistling to himself, Tastin walked down the hall swinging his arms lazily. He had ditched his robe before dinner and his white shirt was unbuttoned at the top and his tie loosened. His opinion was that the uniforms made them look stuck up and stuffy, so he liked to loosen it a bit when he could. Brytana, his best friend, had the same opinion as he did. She often rolled her skirt to a ridiculous length and unbuttoned the shirt enough to show some cleavage. Tastin shook his had as he thought of that. Only she would be able to get away with it too. One girl had tried to copy her outfit last year and got in incredible trouble. Stopping in front of a blank wall, he turned toward it looking like he was seemingly contemplating why he was looking at the wall. The truth was he was debating whether or not he actually wanted to go in for the night. Of course, just because he was in the common room now, didn't mean that he couldn't go back out later if the opportunity presented itself. Shrugging, he muttered the password before watching as the bricks pulled aside into an archway.
Stepping through, Tastin listened for any tell tale signs of people in the common room. No, it didn't sound like it but someone could be reading of course. People didn't usually make a ton of noise while they were reading, and it still was kind of a long walk to the armchairs. Stopping for a moment, he laced his fingers together and pushed his palms toward the sky, stretching out his back. Hearing a satisfying pop he continued toward the armchairs. Maybe he wouldn't go back out after all, he was starting to feel a bit tired.
Just as he walked into view of the armchairs and the couch, he watched as a blonde smacked her wrist on the fireplace. Tastin had to stop himself from bursting out laughing. Who in the bloody hell would decide that it was a good idea to hit their wrists on the fireplace? AFter she got done cursing herself, Tastin faced her, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow. "I have to say, that probably wasn't the most brilliant idea that a person has ever had,' He said, shaking his head.

When Amelia realized she had company she scowled. She was still rubbing her wrist where it had made contact with the strong stones of the fireplace. She turned to the uninvited guest, her chin jutted forward in a mixed look of displeasure and pouting. "You think?" She said simply. She curled her legs up underneath of her so that she was sitting a bit taller in the squishy couch. "It's not like I just decided to beat myself up anyways." She grumped, and then mentally berated herself for giving the guy an excuse. It's not like she had to explain herself to him, or anyone for that matter.
Her brows furrowed slightly more. She'd seen him around before. Of course she had because he was a Slytherin, but she couldn't exactly place where she'd seen him around. He wasn't in any of her classes, that was for sure, she'd have noticed someone that looks like him. He was always with that girl, wasn't he? Were they together? She couldn't remember. "Who are you?" She decided to be direct; it was no skin off her nose if he took offense to her not knowing him. She was Amelia Warrington, very few people that attended Hogwarts mattered to her.
She examined her injured wrist in the firelight. It was swelling slightly and turning from an angry red to a deep purple. She was slightly surprised at her own strength. She hoped she hadn't broken it. Leave it to her to break the bone and not the bracelet she was actually aiming for. Said bracelet was actually still in perfect shape, gleaming in the light of the flames like it was taunting her. Her lips returned to a pout, that really made her sizzle. Stupid Abby Black was going to pay for that; somehow, Amelia beating her own arm to a pulp was Abby's fault as well. It just had to be.

It was hard for Tastin to not scoff at Amelia still rubbing her hand. Who in the bloody hell would knowingly smack their wrists against a fireplace? It wasn't like that bracelet was going to ome off, that was for sure. Not only did it look sturdy, but there were bound to be magical enchantments on it. There would be no way that a student would be able to get past a teacher's enchantments. There was a reason that they were made so strong. It was to keep unruly students in line. Of course, tastin could be considered unruly. the difference between Tastin and Amelia at this point was that Tastin never got caught.
Walking to one of the armchairs, he hummed to himself. He wasn't sure of the tune, maybe he was composing it in his head as he went along. Each moment was a new not, perhaps. When he reached the chair, tastin flung himself in it unceremoniously. the chair was rather small, but he made due. He didn't feel like sitting on the couch. His legs rested over one arm of the chair while he rested his back against the opposite arm. It wasn't the traditional way to sit in the chair, but no one said that tastin was traditional. He was probably the opposite of the typical Hogwarts student. His hair was long, he had piercings and tattoos and he was fairly sure he was the only person in the school who did. It didn't bother him, he actually like the fact that he was unique in a school full of unifmore clad students.
Tilting his head to the side, he let his blue eyes study Amelia for a momoent. He had heard of her. Heard her name around the school. Who hadn't heard of Amelia. She created such drama with all of the girls that you'd have to be completely oblivious not to hear about her. Tastin wondered to himself whether or not she had starrted any spats with Brytana. If he had, tastin would have loved to se that. It'd be a good fight. "What possessed you to smack your arm on the fireplace anyway?" he asked, tilting his head to the side, his black hair falling into his blue eyes. "You must realize that there's nothing you can do to get that off. Besides, there would probably be an alert if you managed to remove it anyway." Moving his head back straight, he started biing on his lip rings, a smirk on his face.
