Leah wasn't having the best day. In fact, Leah seemed to be having a hell of a lot of bad days since coming to this school. It wasn't that she didn't like it - she did, she loved in fact. The architecture was beautiful, the secrets and knowledge that was hidden amongst the walls was manifold, and the library was huge. In terms of entertaining herself, Leah had hit the jackpot with Hogwarts. However, you can only entertain yourself for so long until your own company gets wearisome.
Leah missed her friends, she missed her teachers, hell, she even missed her enemies! Not because of the camaraderie that they shared perhaps, but because with them there, it gave her something to do, it gave her someone to talk to and to argue with. She missed that. She hadn't had an argument in such a long time...well, that wasn't entirely true. She had had many arguments, but they weren't intellectual debates. They usually consisted of phrases such as, "Who the hell are you? Spawn of satan?" or "WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT YOU CRAZY BITCH!" Yep, Leah sure knew how to please people.
The thing is, Leah forgot how hard it was for her to make friends. It wasn't that she couldn't do it, she was sure that if she put the effort into it then she'd be fine...it was just, she had forgotten how much she disliked people, and how intolerant she was. She knew that she needed to talk to somebody, anybody! If she didn't she would go crazy...and so with this in mind, she left the quiet comfort of her Common Room, and traipsed down to the Entrance Hall, hoping that maybe she could bump into someone accidentally-on purpose, and start what she hoped would be a riveting conversation.
