It was time. Midnight on the night of the full moon.

Time for Minah to leave home.

It's not like I don't appreciate it here, just... I can't learn effective magic without getting a broader view of all of it's sides.
She slung a small back over her back, and without a second though, she strode over the glittering bridge and towards Alfritaria, where she would find an airship to lands unknown.

It was on that road, Minah would later remember, that she first used her magic to defend herself.

[flashback]
"You there. Girl. You have a magical sense about you. What is your name?" It appeared to be a red mage.
"Raven," Minah lied, creating the alias she would use for years.
"Raven. Prepare to die." The woman lunged at her with a rapier. Surprised, Minah pulled back and tried to remember a spell. Only one was clear enough in her mind to be used.
"Asha thrazi himara!" she cried. From the beckoning of her words, which were of an archaic speech, a lance of blue flame materialized behind the mysterious woman and knocked her clear off the road. Not waiting to see her fate, Raven dashed away, having taken her first of many delvings into the art of the Whitesmith.
