"Alright. Officially, Eli's gone completely mental. He's wanted in three countries on a total of six-hundred and fourteen counts of murder."
Locke pulled on a clean tank-top before reaching for a formal shirt, the kind with a "mao" collar. "Eli went berserk shortly after the death of his mother, losing himself to the study of necromancer. Ironically, he's both the youngest and most prolific murdurer in history, and the first person I've ever met to master the art of raising the dead." Ed nodded. "To put a further twist on it, no sooner did he master the ability than he refused to continue to pursue either art. This is where the real story and the official blur. Officially, he's still out there somewhere, biding his time, planning his next spree. Unofficially, he's been travelling the globe, searching for... something." Locke raised an eyebrow at the other, as he pulled on a blue jacket. Double-breasted, military markings. "... I don't know what it is, Locke. I just know he's searching." |

Nume looked incredulous. "Six hundred fourteen? We were hanging out with a mass murderer back there? He seemed civil enough, though."
"I wonder what made'im stop," Errai pondered. "Stories I've heard 'bout necromancers they always keep going until someone stops them." -------------------- |

"I have my theories. You got a comb, Eddy?"
"Uh, yeah, it's in my ready kit." So, after Locke hunted the item he was after down, he continued. "Eli's twin sister was always such a nice girl. She became a priest in Midgar somewhere. I have the theory she might have said something that helped him change his mind." Putting the comb away, he sighed. There was a slight bump, and someone pulled the door open, and closed again behind them. The resulting wind forced Locke to start the combing over again. "Sorry I'm late." Ed looked over at Eli. "... How did... no, I don't want to know." |

"I do, though! So how'd it go with our pistol-toting friend?"

"Huh?" Eli blinked, then made the connection. "Oh, Kalan. No idea, he was still passed out from taking that brick to the head. Thanks for closing the door in my face, Locke."
"Hey, any time I can be an asshole, I take the chance." Eli took off his coat, and removed the vest he had been wearing under it. It was of rough white canvas, and from the weight, it had scale mail tucked inside. After it was removed, he replaced his coat. "Where are we going from here?" "A brief resupply in Galbadia." Locke replied. "That is, once we are aboard the Leggitip." "You know..." replied Ed, as he rubbed oil into the blade of his sword. "We need to stop letting Becky name ships. Are we headed to the commune from Galbadia?" "Most likely. I have no desire to remove to Kefka, and I have information to give to the Admiral. Personally." |

"The Helje Commune? I haven't seen Greta or... the other people there, for a while. Mind if I tag along?" said Nume.
Errai appeared to have dozed off. -------------------- |

Ed looked at Locke, who shruged. "Don't look at me, we're the same rank."
"You're the logistics commander." "How the hell could one extra person stall our operations? There's enough empty space on that ship to move half the population of Kefka, if we needed to." He smiled to Nume. "Be my guest." "Vice Admiral, Lieutenant-Colonel, we will be landing shortly upon the Leggitip." Locke touched a button on the wall. "Thank you." |

Nume smiled back and began idly whistling in a somehow orchestral manner, with three or more sounds at the same time [at least one of them being a pair of cymbals].
