~The Condotierri~ A few months ago, several stateless armies formed a coalition, whereby they agreed to support one another logistically, politically, and to a limited extent financially. This group became known as the Condotierri. The armies of the Condotierri operate on contract, some with governments themselves, as well as providing frequent and inspiring drill displays. Clan Theme: Preobrazhensky March
~Clan Roster~ Self Defense Force - The members of the Self Defense Force wear black uniforms of a modern cut, following the Royal Canadian Army Cadet pattern. Their cap brass is of an oak leaf. As an exception, they wear arm-bands on the left arm, blue and grey, with a green leaf. Their trademark weapon is the assault rifle, but they use other weapons as well in battle. Within the group, they are properly called the First Battalion. -Admiral Zachary Adam - Holds the rank of admiral as a nod to his airship campaigns in Fube Sands ten years ago. He's the leader of the First Battalion and the de-facto leader of the condotierri. His authority is that of Colonel. Crimson Knights - With their distinctive uniforms of red vest, black pants, and white shirt, the Crimson Knights, properly termed the Second Battalion, are composed entirely of swordsmen specializing in one-handed blades. They are one of the world's premier counter-magic forces and their commander has been a living legend in clan warfare for at least a decade. -Lieutenent-Colonel Edward Orlando Coultier - As leader of the Crimson Knights, he's entitled to both act as a horseman and to wear a modified version of the uniform. He's a living legend as a swordsman, the author of Code Crimson, and a wanted man in Figaro. Cerulean Knights - Armour-wearing men and women, the only ones to wear their battle gear in parade as well as in the field. They favour heavy melee weapons. They are known as the Third Battalion. -Lieutenent-Colonel Alexis Coultier - a woman of increadible strength, for which she is widly known. Also more lax than most commanders in terms of parade performance, to her twin brother, Edward's, perpetual annoyance. Saffron Knights - Dressed in yellow-and-brown robes on parade, the Fourth Batalion is clearly a mage force, and all forms of arcane magic-users often find their homes here. Many brilliant mages have worked with the Saffron Knights before it became part of the Condotierri. -Lieutenent-Colonel Malvolio Coultier - the brilliant younger brother of Alexis and Edward, a specialist in magic. As his option as commander, he chooses to wear a black First Battalion uniform on parade. Knights of Bismark - The Knights of Bismark are a mercenary group from Jenovah City. Originally specialists in naval operations, they've shifted focus in recent years to the arts of the Paladin. They often undertake humanitarian aid and peacekeeping operations. They are well known as the only chapter to parade with shields. -Lieutenent-Colonel Lord Izumi Atha - formerly known as "Lord Azumi", this powerful paladin has great knowledge in pacification techniques. His weapon is simply the Fifth Battalion standard. First Cyril Rifles - A group of rifle-weilding infantry men that wear combat uniforms of forest camouflage, even on parade. Their long rifles are sometimes mistaken for pikes when carried at the shoulder! The precision and lethality of the Sixth Battallion makes their services the most expensive in the world. -Lieutenent-Colonel Chiko Green - The famed sniper, originally from Figaro, marches with a heavy cloak and a smaller rifle. Templar of the Acheron - Dressed in black and grey both on and off the parade square, the Seventh Brigade are excellent Chaplains and Pikemen, and their services are saught after in counter-cavalry formations. Primarily a Bangaa Force -Lieutenant-Colonel Roqual Coraz - A fearsome bangaa, wielding a mace. He also goes by the title of Chaplain-General. Forever Brigade - The bastardized Eight Brigade follow no truly set pattern, accepting all comers. The patrol in uniforms of the Cyril Guard; green dress uniforms similar to the modern day Royal Canadian Army Cadets. -Lieutenent-Colonel Rebecca Hardy - Commonly held to be the first-ever death as a result of HUV, she was certainly the first of her kind to re-awaken post-Bloom. She has a reputation for being nigh-invincible in combat and serves as an inspiration for her troops... those who can see past the disease, anyway. Clan Ranks: Colonel (Col) - The highest rank in the clan, served only by the commander of the 1st. Ships' officers may style themselves Admiral if they hold this rank. The mark is three wide bars and a skinny bar. Lieutenant-Colonel (Lt.Col) - In the condotierri, Lieutenent is pronounced Left-Tenant. Lieutenent-Colonels are the commanders of their brigades. Shipboard officers with this rank may choose to style themselves Vice-Admiral. The mark is three wide bars. Major (Maj) - The Lt.Col's second in command. The mark is two wide bars and a skinny bar. Captain (Capt) - A step below major; Captains lead a Company. The mark is two wide bars. Lieutenant (Lt.) - A step below captain, lieutenents function primarily as administrators and aids to the captain. The mark is a wide bar and a skinny bar. Second Lieutenant (2lt.) - A step below lieutenant, the Second Lieutenant is the next liaison to the enlisted men, and the second-lowest officer rank. It's denoted by a wide bar. Officer Cadet. (OCdt) - Officers who are still in training. They also function as bridge crew aboard ships, where they are known as Ensign. They wear a single thin bar. Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) - The highest NCO rank, commanding entire battalion according to the commands of the officers above them. They bear the company's crest as their mark of honour. Master Warrant Officer (MWO) - The step below Chief Warrant Officer, commanding entire companies on parade. They wear the symbol of a crown surrounded by a laurel reef. Warrant Officer (WO) - Another step down, they command individual platoons, (troops for artillery groups, or shifts for ship groups) particularly during parade. They wear the symbol of a crown. Sergeant (SGT.) - A WO's second. They wear three chevrons and a maple leaf. Master Corporal (MCpl.) - Providing a "rank marker" on parade or functioning as squad leaders, they wear two chevrons and a maple leaf. Corporal - Denoted by two chevrons. Private - Denoted by one chevron. Members - Various members who hold various jobs in the group. -(Recruitment is Open) Allies: ~Locations~ None. -------------------- Where once stood great trees, oak and maple
