Fantasia under maintainance.

As for now (Sat 13 Jun 09, 10PM GMT+7) onwards, I, Zvane, will be working around the forum via Admin CP, and I don't have a clue how to put the forum under maintainance status...

So it'll be some mess and changes here and there while I work. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Plus, I assigned Tick-Tock Guy as an Ad Hoc Moderator to work as my aide.

There will also be some actions you have to take part of, according to the new system.

If you have some time on your hand, please help me list all the active jobs you use/created. You may also list your suggestions of jobs worth keeping upon Battle system overhaul.

Be warned that you might be required to re-register all your characters with the stats according to the new system after I officially write it down. You will also have to update your jobs with "suggested combat style" attribute.

Remember, I'm doing all this in effort to make Fantasia more accomodating to new members. If you have any comment or suggestion at all, please tell me.

I don't want to screw anything up right now, so I'll wait until you've given the green light to compile the jobs I use.

Here's how we might handle archiving the countries:

Basically, just take the categories and forums as-is, move them down on the category order, and make them read-only. Also, for aesthetics, we should probably make the archives invisible.

This way, we can make fresh and new country descriptions and titles!

(on a more personal note if we could carry over the city and place descriptions I wrote up for corneria that would be great.)

A lot of moving around have been done, as well as attempts for more general forum structure.

- Forum epic archiving is done, so great RPs from the past are availible for all to see.

- As much as I don't dare to play Azureman, I decided to compile all the backstory, and what happened until the end of 2008 into The Canon of Fantasia.

- We're including a comprehensive RPing mechanics right into rules section.

- Creating things will be redone, and all the valid, active creations will be displayed in Accessories Database. Characters will be re-registered once the template is out.

- You can list the jobs you want to save now!! If ou want to suggests further jobs, I compiled as much as jobs topic I can find in "All job-related topics" section.

- If you have time on your hand and want to contribut, look through the "Unsorted Archive" section and if there's any memorable topic left in there, tel me.

- We'll be doing some "brief guide" for each country in the museums about important things that happened. Including recognition topic for ex-members and inactive members (and RDJ) in hall of fame.


Also, please tell me if you like how I move things around the boards or not. I'll work on this tomorrow.

In all seriousness, this needed to be done a long time ago. I don't know how Fantasia's survived as long as it has in its current state.

I'm stuck in my studies, will probably update more stuff by this weekend.

Locke, you'll see some new, pinned topics which have nothing but "--under construction--" inside.

If you could take over those topics except for "Mechanics" and new chara template, it will be real nice. Unfortunately I will not be free this weekend, although, by Sunday night, I'll try to manage the creations section.

I'll do what I can. I still work, and have a few other commitments, but hey, Fantasia deserves some time.

Meanwhile, if anybody can come up with a kickass skin, it'd be so great. I'd suggest Blue Tech-based with some custom graphics. But I don't have no skeelz to do so.
