Post-Dissolution, Melmond, I guess?

After the disbandment of the SA, many civilians were left wondering what the heck had just happened. They had felt that the alliance's unity would hold for much longer than it had. All it took was two assassinations to break the whole thing apart.

In short, mass confusion.

Meanwhile, Bethany was playing a game of Sol's choosing with Zenrae. She appeared to be losing.

In another area, Kaitlyn was firing at a moving target, which was being pushed around by constantly changing wind currents.

[Sol the 1337th]

Zenrae appeared to be moving a practice dummy around Bethany, and giving her a certain amount of points for each hit she scored on it.

Tela was sitting comfortably near Kaitlyn, relishing in the practice she was getting in manipulating the air again, which had been disallowed in residential Melmond.

[Aredjay]

Swinging her saber with little regard to accuracy, Bethany managed to scrape the wooden pole holding the dummy up.

Kaitlyn fired off another volley, piercing the target in three different places.

"Say, Tela...what's your take on all of this mess? Why did this have to happen?"

"Well, I don't know." Tela responded, now thinking. "They say it was General Winley, but then she doesn't use the kinds of techniques that were displayed... someone out there who wasn't too Alliance-friendly decided to frame a higher-up, I guess."

[Aredjay]

"And without knowing that person's motives, we can't really do anything about it."

The archer let out a sigh and let a few more arrows fly. Most of them missed.

"...And because of this whole fiasco, half the Alliance is gone and we've disbanded. From the look of things, I don't think they're coming back anytime soon..."

The expression on Kaitlyn's face changed from discontentment to worry. She began to wonder how Ryan and Vanna were doing, and whether or not they'd been attacked by Melissa yet -- or at all.

[Sol the 1337th]

Tela read the worry on Kaitlyn's face, and a thought struck her. "Want to go see if we can find them? I can tell where Leku is. We could bring Bethany and Zenrae and make everyone apologize to each other."

[Aredjay]

"Yeah, that'd be great! ...But what if they don't want to be found?"

Obviously, this was a moot point; Tela just said she could tell where Leku was. Realizing this, Kaitlyn added, "Erm, disregard that last part."

[Sol the 1337th]

"So, shall we go gather up Bethany and Zenrae? How do you want to get where Leku and the others are?"

[Aredjay]

"Yeah, let's go find them. I'm thinking one of Zenrae's portals would be the easiest way."

Another question seemed to spring forth from Kaitlyn's endless pool of (mostly restrained) curiosity.

"By the way, Tela, what's your opinion of my brother? As a person, I mean."

Bethany finally gave up on trying to hit the dummy.

"Ryan? He's a pretty cool kid. Sort of good looking, I guess. But... I don't think he quite measures up to Leku." She blushed a bit. "I mean, Leku's just... the tops."

Zenrae set the dummy down gently, and nodded at Bethany as he examined the hits she had scored.

"Not bad. In truth, I had expected worse."

[Aredjay]

"I...see," came Kaitlyn's response. Apparently, Tela hadn't gotten over the fact that Leku was with Salinas.

"Can we go now?"

"I'm just not a good fighter...my only good move is Twister, and I haven't used it a lot lately."

[Sol the 1337th]

"Perhaps I could teach you, or have a friend do it." Zenrae responded, pondering the situation.

"Oh! Right. Sorry, zoned out remembering the old times. Let's go find them."

[Aredjay]

"Would you really? That'd be great, Zenrae!" exclaimed the Blue Mage.

"Right. ...I think they'd probably be near the center of town, training or something, but that's just a hunch I have."

[Sol the 1337th]

Tela closed her eyes. "Yup. You're right. Alright."

She waved a hand, and a seemingly solid cushion of air lifted them up.

"The question is, who?"

[Aredjay]

Bethany frowned. Zenrae hadn't gotten the message.

"If Ryan hadn't have left, I'd be asking him... Maybe Odonel, or...?"
