Location: Fertile Damascus, Serpent Pass, Figaro

Pinto was doing stretches just outside the hangar of the massive airship, awaiting his escort. For this mission, he'd been equipped with a pack of dragon-skin, set with a heavy-gauge lock. The withdrawal slip was inside, currently.

~Status - LegalCorps Side~
Theme: Lucav's First - Front Mission 3
Time: Same Day, 3 o'clock PM
Conditions: Bright, Warm, slight breeze (northern)
Location: Crown Cafe, Kefka, Figaro
~Status~

Lukav and James sat at a table, waiting for their "friends" to arrive, while having coffee and cake.

A younger woman approached the hanger and looked around. She had on white mage robes for once but kept the hood down for her aqua blue viera ears, "Ummmm... Did I come to the right place?" She said hoping someone would re-assure her of her presence.

Sagax stepped beside Pinto and gave him a quick salute. He wasn't in his armor currently but it was in the large bag over his shoulder. Instead he wore a large pair of green overalls and a brown leather vest.

"Sssagax reporting sssir"

Theme: Painful Battle - FFTA
~Status~

Pinto did a back-handspring and landed it before answering, "Ah, Lieutenant. Good to meet you."
He then turned to the Viera, "You must be the mercenary I hired. Let's get going."

"Wait!"

Pinto turned to face the ship. There was a woman running out, in a travelling cloak, followed by two very large and very well-equipped bangaa women, "Whew. Glad I caught you, Pinto."

Pinto saluted, "Lady LeCruset."
"Yeah, yeah, enough of that." She held out a staff, "You forgot your walking stick."

"Ah, thank you." Pinto took it, "Are you travelling somewhere, ma'am?"
"Yes, to Kefka, at least at first. Can I give you and your team a lift?"

Sagax glanced over at the Mercenary. He gave a small smile and turned back. "K... aaaerrrmmm... Lady LeCrussset... Ssshouldn't you be ssstaying here, clossse to the youn'ensss"

Tenchi smiled, "So...My job is to defend some cargo?"

Pinto nodded.

"We're relocating." Kat explained, "Lo's afraid that the SC is going to attack, after what he tried. We need to get out of here."
"Let's go now." A pilot interrupted, "Quickly, quickly."

Sagax looked down at Pinto. "Shall we go with them Sssir?"

Tenchi waited for her orders, "I'll do what I must..."

"No, we have to keep with the schedule. Thanks for the offer, but we must hike to the Capitol."

Sagax scratched his head. "This makes me wish I'd invested in Kadas' magic bag of nothingness."

He looked at his bag which contained his armor inside. He sighed and picked it up again and swung it over his shoulder.

Tenchi smiled, "Walking it is then." She looked at Sagax, "I got an idea to make that easier for you." She cast feather on the bag with the armor.

"That should make it easier on you." She smiled.

"Alright, let's get going."

~Two Days Later~

The trio walked into the city of Kefka, "Well, that was a nice little walk, wasn't it?"

Sagax put down his bag and rubbed his feet. "Uh-huh. What now Bossss?"

Tenchi nodded, "Yup. Good for us." She looked around, "So... Now where?"

Pinto sighed, taking a drink from his canteen, "We should go straight to the bank and pick up the gold. Questions?"

In the square nearby, two human Street Performers, each a mirror image of the other, were juggling large knives for the entertainment of the crowd.

Tenchi nodded and smiled, "To the bank then. Shall we?"

Sagax shook himself. "And then we should take a ressst"

"You guys can rest while I'm in the vault." Pinto said, as they walked into the bank.

A teller clerk was already open, and Pinto unlocked his backpack, removing the withdrawal slip and handing it to him.

"... I see. This way, please."

Pinto was lead away.

~Meanwhile, Outside~

The street performers altered their position, to be parallel with the door. By now, Lukav and James had both shown up in the square, dressed as civilians.

Sagax sat down on the Bank's steps and watched the street performers. He looked around at the city of Viera and grumbled something.

"For a city of bunnies this place is sure beautiful"

Tenchi gave Sagax a look of curiousity, "What was that part about bunnies?"

Sagax shook his head. "Eh wha?"

He turned to Tenchi, "What bunnies?"

Lukav studied the Bangaa closely, "... James, we may have trouble."
"A bangaa is no trouble."
"Sagax IS trouble." Lukav said calmly.

(ooc: They're on the other side of a crowded square. You'd never overhear that.)

"Blah I'm taking a stroll. I'm going to watch those dancers more" Sagax said.

And with that he got up and trundled down the steps and across the road.

Tenchi smiled, "I know what you said, sir. But then again, it doesn't bother me."

Lukav and James interested themselves in some silks a vendor nearby was selling.

Sagax watched the performers for a bit then wandered down the street, then across the street, back up to the bank and sat down on the steps again.

Tenchi looked around, she walked over to a little boy who had hurt his knee and recovered him with just one blink of her eye, "There ya go. Now watch out for those curbs. They're easy to trip off of." The boy smiled and ran off to go find his mother. Tenchi went and sat beside Sagax, "So... Where do you come from?"

By now, Pinto was coming out of the bank, his pack visibly heavier. A red-bladed knife in the juggled formation was now green, which did not escape Lukav's close attention.

"Take the bangaa."

James nodded, and secretly slipped into the crowd in the middle of the square, making his way over to the bank steps.

Tenchi turned to Pinto, "Are we good to go?"

"I come from..." Sagax broke off and winced a bit. His head throbbed in pain, he knew what was about to happen. When ever his father would complain of head aches something bad usually happened soon after.

It died as quickly as it came and Sagax glanced around a bit before standing up. "Prepare"

(ooc: I'm assuming I'm powerplaying now?)

Tenchi nodded, and quietly cast protect on the group. Pinto, meanwhile, was unsure of what the target was, and bolted down the stairs, right past James.

Who, in turn, rose his hands to shoulder-level, the motion slamming shut the doors of the bank and theoretically throwing both protectors in that direction.

Sagax was knocked back into the door. He instantly grabbed for his sword and slashed down at James throwing half the doors as well.

The door bounced uselessly away, and he seemed to block the blade with his hand, though neither was touching the other.

"... NOW!"

The jugglers from before span on their heels, throwing the knives expertly. Tenchi was stricken by both and knocked unconscious as she hit the doors.

(ooc: Sorry, but I hate having to powerplay things. This is much easier.)

By now, Pinto had met a dead end, in the form of Lukav, who was menacingly uncoiling his whip from his belt, "Hello, little moogle. How about you drop that backpack?"

Sagax pulled back his sword and watched Tenchi fall backwards. "I have no time for this"

With that he ran forwards and with his head down attempting to run right through James.

James jumped clear over Sagax, throwing a disk of thunder after him, "Oi, luke!"

Luke looked up and ran sideways, which, while allowing Pinto to escape, provided him with a clear shot of the whip, pulling the moogle back. He lifted him up, intending to use the gold-laden messenger as a meat shield.

Sagax lifted his head and was struck in the back by the disk of thunder. Shaking his head as he got up, he turned his head to look at James. With great anger in his eyes he spoke; "Ill deal with you later!"

He ran after Pinto and Luke.

Lukav forced pinto out of the backpack and turned to run. The result of this action was to crack Pinto's neck and render him unconscious.

"James! Get this ass off my tail!"

Sagax turned back to James for a moment before turning back to Luke. "Call me an Ass will ya"

Sagax took his sword and threw the large blade at Luke.

The blade clattered to the ground a few feet short, and between the weapon and Sagax landed James again, burning with a blue aura.

"Playtimes over, bangaa breath."

Behind him, jumping down from the rooftops, were the two jugglers.
