Very, very cute! Even though Lisbon's not a 'morning' person, I don't think she'd ever skip out on work though, not even for Jane and his uh, ministrations. It's just not her. I get the impression that she's the kind of woman who drags herself in even if she's sick.

Sorry, because of that it felt VERY out of character to me.

:( I'm sorry that Lisbon's OOCness (my new word...) ruined it for you. Although I understand I shouldn't be making excuses, this was the first idea I had and I ran with it.

What I'm going to do now is go back and have a look at what I might be able to change, so that I can keep the majority of it, but maybe make more enjoyable for you? :rosy:

Would that be okay, do you think, to just edit what I've already posted?

I know what you mean about just going with the first idea you get, I do that plenty of times. A lot of people will say it's great, but I always appreciate honesty, which is why I'm sometimes a bit blunt in reviews and tell people what I actually think!

I think it'd be fine to edit what you've posted. :-) I'll go look in a little while to give you time to redraft - and do some writing of my own. My AU, Unbound, is becoming more of a monster by the second.

I appreciate you being blunt! As you know, this is only my second fic for The Mentalist, so it's useful to have somebody around to honestly tell me when I screwed up! :)

I hope the second attempt is much more to your liking than the first! :lol: I just finished re-posting it.

I'm glad you appreciate it; a lot of people would just go mad and think I'm trying to ruin their fun - which isn't the intention, obviously.

For the record, I absolutely LOVE the edited version. For some reason I could totally see Jane having a hand in her enforced holiday. :-p

The only thing that really annoys me is people who throw criticism at me and then do nothing to tell me how to fix it. <_< That does make me a little mad.

LOL, I'm so glad you thought the second attempt was more successful! A fitting end to this series, I think! :)bye
