Love is like a Rose

Love is like a rose,
with gentle tender parts,
slowly it unfolds,
and developes in your heart.

It's beauty cant be tamed,
it's as wild as the wind,
words cannot explain,
the feeling held within.

You can be cut by a thorn,
and your heart will bleed,
sometimes it may be torn,
but inside is a new seed.

There will always be a change,
and yet it grows and grows,
although it may seem strange,
love is like a rose.

I'm Sorry

I'm sorry for the pain I've caused,
sorry for not being there,
I'm sorry for every wasted day,
I didn't show I cared.

I'm sorry for the bad times,
when I made you frown,
I'm sorry for all the days,
that I let you down.

I'm sorry for being two-faced,
and not seeing it was wrong,
I'm sorry for not returning your things,
or keeping them too long.

I'm sorry for the times I left you,
crying all alone,
I'm sorry for when you needed me,
and I wasn't home.

I'm sorry I tried to make you laugh,
but instead I made you cry,
I'm sorry I didnt say how I felt,
because I was too shy.

I'm sorry for saying nasty words,
and hurting you inside,
I'm sorry I went behind your back,
i cheated and I lied.

I'm sorry I said I'd be there,
but I never came,
I'm sorry I tried to make it right,
and let you down again.

I'm sorry it is over now,
our friendship didn't last,
but we will still have all the good times,
to remember from the past.

WAVES (written when I was in grade 4, 1999)

The waves come in,
the waves go out,
the waves stir the sand about.

The waves get high,
then dip down low,
the waves tickle my little toe.

The sea holds secrets,
just under the waves,
once I found some little caves.

The waves can be big,
The waves can be small,
today they took my favourite ball.


RIVERS (written in 2000 for a school assignment)

Salinity effecting,
it's time to start protecting,
our rivers are all dying,
from pollution.
What can we do?
All us people can keep on trying,
to help.

Our rivers are all mangling,
choking on our waste,
if there is too much salinity,
we will not like the taste.
This problem was all started,
but us humans one day,
We've got to help our rivers,
because we want them to stay.

MAIL (Also written in 2000 )

It's tumbling,
it's turning,
it's waiting,
Wating to be gathered.
Now off it goes,
off to our homes.

It's stacked,
it's bundled,
it's delivered,
Delivered to my house,
In my mailbox.

It's waiting,
it's waiting,
it's waiting,
Waiting for me to open it.



FOX (written in 2001 )

Sly and Sneaky,
furry, soft and smooth,
four feet, bushy tail,
fox on the move.


TO DELTA GOODREM (2003)

We're lost without,
your innocent eyes sparkling,
forever born to try.


GOODBYE (2003)

God I'm gonna miss you,
the smile on your lovely face,
your beautiful big eyes,
and most of all your grace.

You've always been my angel,
watching over me,
you wiped away my tears,
together we were free.

We'll always be together,
although our lives will bend,
you and me, forever friends,
that's how our lives will end.

Though it's time to say goodbye,
our smiles will always last,
because we'll always have the best times,
to remember from the past.



DREAMS (2004)

Dreams are an image,
we wish we could keep,
they float through our heads,
while we are asleep.
Some are good,
while some are bad,
we dream of things,
whether they are happy or sad.
Still, dreams are an image,
we wish we could keep,
but we can't,
unless we are asleep.
