Title: Sending Christmas Cards

Miss Peg - December 23, 2009 05:12 PM (GMT)
"You have no idea what real loneliness is, so do us all a favor and stop being so pathetic.”
- Oh dear, that was a little bit below the belt it really was. Strong line, very strong line.

“Who are we talking about, Aaron? Hailey or JJ?”
- another, very telling, line, amazing really how much can be said in so very little.

I really enjoyed this - less of the Christmas cheer and more of the Christmas angst, enjoyable to say the least.

Thanks - I've discovered it's actually easier to write them in character when they're being all angsty!

I don't know if you knew, but Hailey is Hotch's ex-wife and mother of his son. I guess you probably worked it out, only I didn't want it to still be unclear.

Also, I had to take a time out to feed Riley before I posted the second half, so if you're interested, that's up now too!

I did notice, shall go and read that soon! :D

I did figure out about the ex-wife and son, hehe. It's sad, really sad that he can't spend the season with his son. :( I guess it's one of those things though, isn't it? When families don't stay together. :( Poor Hotch. Can see where his grumpiness is coming from. Doesn't make it any fairer though.

There we go, a piece of information which makes the whole thing very different. Poor JJ! :(

"Agent Hotstuff" - love it, so funny, good play on his name.

I was really distracted reading this, not sure why, seemed to take me forever. But I did enjoy it, I especially loved the sharing of gifts and cards - definitely uniquely done! ^_^

:( If only Hotch knew that she was getting divorced before he opened his mouth...

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yes. :( Though he wasn't to know...so he wasn't to know to be careful, just like she wasn't to know that he was going to be in a bad mood. A bit of a cycle really. :(

Yay for happier endings though.

Ouch. Poor JJ... I guess sometimes, it's very easy to speak without thinking.

Aaron Hotchner who looks at you like you’re the next best thing to whipped cream

Hahahahaha... I loved that line.

And I absolutely loved the conclusion! Nice use of the prompt. :D
