Bella gasped when Edward knocked her feet out from under her. She knew he would never just let her fall, and she was used to the feel of falling because of how often she did it, but it still took her by surprise most of the time.

Bella's heartbeat was loud and thudded in her ears, and she heard him say he didn't want her falling in her light-headed condition.

When they got to her room, Edward laid her down on her bed and sat beside her. Bella's heart rate slowly decreased, and she looked up and him with a slightly shocked look on her face.

"Do you need anything?" Edward asked her a worried voice, "Your not dizzy are you?"

Bella laughed, still trying to catch her breath, which had increased when he had picked her up, and let her head fall back against her pillow and feeling her eyes close.

"I'm fine, Edward. I was just not expecting that....." Bella said, meeting his gaze.

Edward watched as she fell back against her pillow, closing her eyes and breathing quickly. She was a little breathless when she spoke next. "I'm fine, Edward," she said. "I was just not expecting that..."

He smirked and chuckled at the surprise still lingering in her eyes. She seemed to be so easy to catch off guard. But then again, she was a human.

Slowly, taking care not to surprise her again, he moved until he was lying beside her, his head propped up by his hand and his other running up and down her arm. As he passed over her warm skin he could see the goosebumps rising.

"Are you cold?" he murmured in her ear.

Although he loved being close to her he didn't want her to freeze. Maybe they should do what they did most nights, where Bella was wrapped up in a blanket to shield herself from the bitter cold of his skin.

There are only four questions of value in life.
What is sacred?
Of what is the spirit made?
What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for?
The answer to each is the same: only love.
