There was absolutely no time to waste. Meredith began searching for clues or any lead that would take her to Rebecca. The room was empty, but the depot was another story. She could see paintings on the walls. From smell they seemed to be blood. However the lack of light was working against her right now. All she could tell was a spiral of blood that had an odd shape. On closer inspection the spiral was uneven, almost had the shape of the cathedral. The point where the spiral originated from was very close to the lower part of the cathedral. There was another entrance at the southern part of the structure. ( Posted Image) From other blood marks on the wall Meredith was getting the feeling that this place was no ordinary church. Or was it even a church? Either way she had to examine both secret passages before choosing one. The southern passage was the shortest one yet farther from the place she wanted to get to. The other had a longer path yet it was closest to the room she wanted to get to. Yet the sounds she heard were not reassuring at all. The guards had taken their positions in the church and were now patrolling around. ”How long do we have to do this?” ~Lazy Guard ”As long as it takes!” ~Strict Guard ”Don’t worry, Biscuits will sniff the intruder in no time.” ~Guard with Dog It appeared that the northern door had a shorter path to the room but it was more exposed to the guards. Meredith waited for a while to memorize their routes and timing. Now it was a matter of choice and execution. -----------------------------------------------------
( Posted Image)
She had three things to elude... The guard's eyes and ears, and the dog's nose. The last of which presented a great problem: Scents leave a trail. The path that helped her avoid the guards could seem like the most tempting, but her scent cone would take much longer to spread through ground, walls and doors, than simply spreading through a hallway. As such it would probably be easier and more straightforward to elude the humans than the dog, although it still posed a threat if she wasn't careful.
"I really, really hate dogs...", she again thought to herself.
With that she moved towards the northern, longer path and got ready to time how long she had until her smell would spread far enough for the dog to sniff her...
SKILLS: Eagle eye (to spot for shadows, hiding places and random useful details.
Meredith would keep a constant feel of the wind inside the cathedral, her goal avoiding any air currents that could connect her and the dog and thus reduce the time she had until it detected her. At best she'd want to be "downwind" of the animal. She'd also find some small stones she could carry around and throw to make noises that would distract them. It was by now obvious that the guards didn't know where the tunnels led, which could be put to her advantage: If she created small noises on opposite directions, she'd turn the guards away with luck also prompt them to thoroughly search for her in a completely unrelated area. She'd also pay constant mind to the lighting and shadows to both help her detect the guards and their positions, and remain hidden from them by walking in the darkest part of each path; moving stealthily, taking great care not to cast a shadow or step on anything that could make a noise (giving special attention to the gear strapped on her back), testing the ground first with her foot before actually putting it down. If she needed to tell the position of one guard and was unable to do so by means of hearing, she'd attempt to peek out only if she's in the shadows.
Should she attract a guard's attention or somehow need it to look the other way, she'd throw a stone across the hall, aiming it so that the object itself wouldn't be seen, and so that the noise it made would be gentle, as expected of something accidental. She wouldn't resort to stones if doing so would get her spotted, instead she'd retreat to behind a corner (again, moving back enough so she isn't spotted because of her shadow and wait for the guard to either walk by so she could jump him and knock him out with a swift punch to the head, or just letting him go if he turns around without seeing her. If she's openly spotted before even getting past the first guard and he guard alerts his friends, Meredith will knock him unconscious, and immediately retreat back into the tunnel, making a loud enough noise to attract all the other guards, and follow through the tunnel and attempt to reach her goal from the other path.
Considering the fact that scent disperses further as time goes by, Meredith will attempt to make as much haste as she possible can with her stealth methods, especially after being in the same room as the guard, and even more so, if she feels an air current that could connect her with the dog allowing it to spot her even faster. She'll wait to make a move when the guard with the dog is somewhere around the southeast quadrant of his patrol route, the guard in the middle is facing west, and the northernmost guard is facing towards the entrance of the cathedral, but regarding the dog guard, she'll get more loose regarding where she wants him to be the longer she goes without making her move (she'll accept him being somewhere around the northeast corner and southwest one). Should she successfully get past the first guard and be more than halfway to her goal and somehow attract attention, she'll instead speed up, running with her tiptoes, attempting to get there swiftly and silently, and hopefully have vanished before they become fully aware of her presence.
She'll attempt to open the door quietly, but if its taking too long and she believes she might get spotted, she'll force it a little. Going as far as slamming it if there's no other way to get it open.

Meredith waited for the right time to come out. It was unknown why she chose to come out when the guard was so close. The warrior and the guard came face to face. The dog barked loudly, alerting the other guards. Meredith had no other choice. She lunged forward and knocked out the guard with her sword. Just as she was about to return back to the tunnel fate reminded her why she hated dogs. The dog bit her in the ass.... ( Posted Image) It was her pride that was injured rather than her body. Without thinking Meredith killed the dog and ran back into the tunnel. She wasn’t stealthy at all during this, deliberately making noise to raise hell. The two guards arrived at the place to see the guard unconscious and the dog dead. They didn’t waste time and went into the room then the next one finally reaching the hidden room. During that time Meredith had already got around them by using the other secret passage. The target room turned out to be a library. It didn’t have much space but the bookcases were fitted along the walls, making the room tight enough for only two people to walk side by side. Meredith didn’t have time to check the collections since it would take long for the guards to find her. It was clear that Rebecca wasn’t in this room. So there had to be another hidden door around here somewhere. ( Posted Image) ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: I knew inverted orientation of map would throw you off. :P

A combination of several mistakes with astoundingly bad luck was making this mission a far greater pain in the ass (surprisingly literally) than it was supposed to be...
"Everything that could go wrong did so up to this point... What's next?", she muttered to herself, cursing her luck...
Aside from the possibility of a trapdoor, the bookshelves seemed like the best option. She focused on the them, determined on finding the path before the guards found her... If there's anything that can be used to bar the door without making much of a mess, Meredith will use it, and then get on with her task of finding the way out. While trying to remember any idea she might have regarding the room's supposed length and width (as seen from the outside), and gauge it against the space she has inside (so as to help determine whether there was any part of the bookshelves that could clearly house a secret path behind them); she would examine each section carefully, tapping on the wood, and examining the sound it makes so as to determine whether or not there's a hollow space behind them. If she can't find any difference at all in the sounds made by each of the bookshelves, she'll move on to examining the covers of the books, or trying to find any book that sticks out for some reason. She'll also keep an eye out for symbols that could resemble the one she saw on the basement, and if the place looks particularly dusty, she'll be on the lookout for places that look less dusty than average. While examining each of the bookshelves, she'll also pay attention to the floor, and take note of anything unusual, like drag marks, or separate sections of tiles (which could be a trapdoor). If none of her attempts bear fruit, she'll start removing books (first gently, then roughly dragging them all out of the way if she starts taking too long) and attempt to find any hint on the wood of the bookshelves.

The setup was a classic one. Meredith kept in mind the important detail of the symbols she saw earlier as she searched the right book to open the hidden exit. It didn’t take long to find one when she was looking for something specific. A sign was on the cover of a book. She pulled it, opening an entrance leading to underground. ( Posted Image) As she entered the door closed from behind. She saw a large timber in the room. Meredith picked the slab of wood and placed it behind the secret door such that even if they found the book the door wouldn’t open. Now having secured her rear, Meredith headed down the stairs. She’d see what this underground base had in store for her. It took about a quarter of an hour to finally reach her destination. The warrior hid just in time as someone walked by in the room. The man was wearing a black robe and didn’t look like a happy priest. ( Posted Image) Soon the robed man entered the corridor to north. Meredith came into the room. She could hear others talking in the room south and there were sounds of some kind of ritual coming from north west. Suddenly the conversation she was eavesdropping got interesting. ”The ritual is going just fine. Soon Balor will walk the earth again!” ~Cultist #1 ”We have long been in hiding. The Church will pay for what they did to us. Thank the Great Demon that we found the Avatar of Balor.” ~Cultist #2 ”The fallen angel who brought her was no doubt a sign that our time has come. Are the sacrifices ready? Balor will want to feast once he arrives to our realm.” ~Cultist #1 ”Indeed they are ready. I shall inspect them now. I just need to get the key to the dungeon.” ~Cultist #2 There were some familiar things about what was being said. The cultists in the southern room weren’t moving yet. It seemed they still had some business there. The cultist that passed earlier was heading north where Meredith heard from her eavesdropping, was the room of the head of this cult. There was another cultist moving from west, but Meredith wasn’t sure where he was heading. He might as well enter the room she was in. Also she felt a minor breeze coming from there. Could there be an exit? Either way this would only work during an escape after she found Rebecca, who was somewhere in this place. ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Okay Rebecca is somewhere in this floor. Good luck! :P
( Posted Image)
Now this is a problem... Finding the place they'd stashed Rebecca in was a good thing, but finding her while avoiding all the random cultists was a brand new pain in the ass. The main problem right now as the guy who could very well start moving her way...
"Now i just need to get Rebecca and get out...", she thought, "With her around it might be easier to fight..."
She had a pretty good feeling towards her being this "avatar" the bozos were going on and on about, but it was still too early to make such an assumption, and her feelings had pretty much been disappointing her ever since this started. Otherwise, she'd just have sprinted off and to hell with the cultists...
[ACTIONS] Skill: Eagle eye
1 - Sneaking She will search around the room she's in for a possible hiding spot somewhere between the room she's in, and the corridor and room to the west, her goal being to find a large enough space that could allow her to hide behind effectively, at least until she figured out where that cultist was headed towards, and if he was headed her way, wait until he passed. Meredith would look for a dark corner, or behind a statue, etc. If no hiding place could be found, she'd attempt to stand as closest to the wall by the hallway as possible, and wait there. If he heads her way, Meredith will simply wait until he walks into the room, using the sound of his footsteps for guidance, and swiftly pound him with a blow to the head as soon as he comes into view, attempting to knock him out before he has any chance of reacting at all. Afterwards she'll slowly move through the hallways, standing in the shadows as often as possible, and carefully avoid making sounds by bumping into things; or casting a shadow of her own; or leaving footprints, and always keep an eye on possible hiding places should she need to stand still and observe the enemies. She'll also pay attention to other footsteps, and immediately hide should she feel some of the cultists dangerously close. Should she reach the next room, she'll attempt to follow the corridor north.
2 - Dungeon crawling In the meantime, Meredith will also attempt to find any kind of door or passage that could lead to this dungeon the other cultist went on about; as she didn't feel like ignoring the possibility of Rebecca being one of the sacrifices. If she successfully hides and the other cultist to the south passes by and opens a door close enough to her position, and Meredith finds herself alone with that particlar cultist, she'll slowly slide out of her hiding place, and slowly sneak up on the guy, careful not to step on anything loud, and swiftly knock him out with a blow to the head. If successful, she'll open the door and walk in, dragging the unconscious cultist along with her.
She'll only follow this course of action if by some reason she was unable to move along (such as two cultists closing in from two different places), and she successfully found a hiding place; OR if she correctly detected that the path to the dungeons is rather close to her current location

Meredith searched the room for a place to hide, but sadly there wasn’t any object she could use immediately. There was a drain, which the lid could be removed. With little option left she hid next to the doorway and waited for the cultist’s movement to reveal it destination. Soon the footsteps grew louder. As the cultist passed the door Meredith sprung her ambush. The cultist was caught by complete surprise and the warrior’s strength was more than enough to knock the cultist out right away. The cultist Meredith knocked out turned out to be a woman. With no concern to hide the body Meredith made her way to the room to the west. Unfortunately there was no passage or anything that seemed to be like a hidden door along the way. Then Meredith entered the corridor to the room’s north. There she heard two of the three cultists at the north western room talking. ”I’ll see how the Avatar is doing.” ~Cultist #1 ”Yeah... She asks too much to be honest. When Balor comes she won’t be anymore.” ~Cultist #2 ”Good riddance if you ask me.” ~Cultist #1 ”I’ll be heading to the library. Good luck with Miss Comfort.” ~Cultist #2 It was then the two cultists began moving in different directions. One moved north, while the other headed to the corridor Meredith was in. To make things worse the cultist west to the room the was in earlier began moving east. Now Meredith was in a pincer with two cultists cutting her escape. But this wasn’t planned exactly wasn’t it? Perhaps she could use this to her advantage. Yet brute force was always an option. There was also to consider the unconscious cultist left behind. ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Well.... There is no single solution. Good luck! :P
( Posted Image)
Leaving the other cultist without hiding her could come back to haunt her, but fortunately Meredith had no intention to be stealthy after she'd found Rebecca... All that remained her now was to verify that this Avatar was indeed her, and if so, get her out and move on to Yammet and Faust.
"You're next...", she thought, beginning her plans against the next cultist
[ACTIONS]
1 - Cultist ambush 2 Like before, Meredith will press herself against the wall, and focus on the cultist's footsteps. Once more, she'll remain as silent as possible and ascertain if she's not casting a shadow that would give her away, and if so adjust her position.
Afterwards she'll attempt to find a place to quickly hide the downed cultist; if one isn't available she won't waste more time with that, instead she'll leave him in the north portion of the corridor and start moving towards the next one...
2 - Mission Impossibru She will sneak slowly through the hallway, walking on her tiptoes, pressing herself against corners and peeking out to get a view of the area ahead of her before walking in, particularly keeping an eye for places she could hide in on a pinch. She'll grab a stone, or any other small object she can safely throw, and slowly walk towards the cultist on the other side of the room as soon as his back is towards her. She'll stalk him very slowly, again keeping an eye for shadows and stuff she could bump into to make noise, as well as possible hiding spots between her location and the cultist so she can hide in case he turns towards her (as long as they also hide her from the cultist to the north. Once she's close enough to that cultist, Meredith will knock him out with a swift blow to the head, immediately ducking behind the benches or anything that could serve the same purpose to avoid being immediately detected by the other cultist.
She'll keep the stone or object ready for throwing at the cultist's head should he start turning around and she finds herself unable to hide anywhere safely, attempting to focus her throw for just enough percision to knock him out before he can spot her. If she's already close enough when he starts turning, Meredith will pounce to KO him with a punch while bringing herself and him to the ground.
After the first cultist is down, if still fully undetected, Meredith will repeat the stalking action, only a little faster to catch up with other cultist and pounce on him as well. If the cultist was warned of her presence but didn't detect her; she will hide somewhere between the awake cultist and the KO'd one, and attempt to repeat the ambush she'd performed before.
If detected, Meredith will immediately dash towards where the "Avatar of Balor" is supposed to be, completely disregarding stealth, and punching cultists that get in her way. Should any of the cultists prove more than human, she'll immediately move to attack with a single Sharpsword

MeredithThere wasn’t much time left for the warrior trying to rescue her comrade. The unconscious body left behind was to be discovered sooner or later. Fortunately there weren’t many obstacles between her and the first suspect called the Avatar of Balor by the cultists. That person being Rebecca had promise. So far there were no entrances leading to the so called prison. Hence there was only one path she could take. Meredith stuck to the shadows as she moved along the walls of the narrow corridor. At the turn she waited for the cultist to come and sprung her ambush. The punch knocked him out. Meredith placed the cultist at the darkest part of the corridor but it wasn’t going to hide him so she didn’t worry herself with it. The next cultist was praying in front of a demonic statue, possibly Balor. Knocking him out was a piece of cake. The one to the north was at the ritual hall. Meredith caught up and got rid of the final cultist between her and the mysterious Avatar of Balor. The warrior moved towards the room then opened the door. There she was... Rebecca. The girl didn’t look so well. It was like Rebecca was drunk or more accurately drugged. The warrior definitely looked high. So this was how they kept a warrior, who didn’t need a sword, in check. Meredith also noticed a half open door leading to a dark corridor, possibly to the dungeon. Just at that moment Meredith felt the wind draft from the south strengthen for a moment. Someone had entered the underground temple. ( Posted Image) ------------------------------------------------------ RebeccaShe was feeling great. This place was full of happiness. Why it was like this she didn’t know and honestly didn’t care. All that mattered was that she didn’t feel scared anymore. Rebecca was captured almost half a day ago by renegades. Their group had been ambushed in Gomahl’s streets. The attackers were frighteningly skilled and dealt with them swiftly. There was severe trouble with carrying Rebecca to the church. On the way she had woken up and began fighting. It took three renegades to put her down. Then she was sold to the cultists. The reason no one knew yet. Drugged, Rebecca remained in captivity, waiting for the ritual to summon the demon Balor. Well there was no magic involved. The ritual would just put her in a near death state where combined with drug effect would cause her to awaken and turn into a monster that would easily qualify as a demon. Of course the poor cultists had no idea how this would turn out regardless of human sacrifices. Perhaps it was a sick joke on the humans or comrades trying to rescue her. Rebecca was playing with a crystal ball as someone opened the door. Her vision was blurry at this moment but she wasn’t really bothered by it. She saw someone familiar at the door. Did she ever be like this before? Oh, this place was getting better and better... ( Posted Image) ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Let the fun begin! :D
( Posted Image)
.:Rebecca:.
"This... cant be... this is just tooo MARVALOUS~~~~~"
Instead of shedding a happy tear that would have appeared usually, Rebecca jumped up, still holding the crystal ball in her hand. Well, tried to - her senses weren’t exactly perfect because of the poison in her blood screwing her brain up. However she somehow managed to release threads to stop her from just crushing on the floor, now planking in the air above it instead. Her smile was still gigantic, conquering her whole face. This was pure, uncontested happiness. All worries, fears, all embarrassment and sadness was away - world was kind and beautiful. And Ines was now with her.
"Tram-param-pam-pam!!!"
This way of movement seemed more reliable right now, and definitely way more comfortable then using legs. So Rebecca released more threads, shooting them towards the ceiling, trying to establish the foundation for a solid carousel by sticking one thread in the center of the rooms ceiling and other forming a big circle around it. If its done successfully, Rebecca will start contracting round threads one by one, pulling her and rotating around the central one.
"GOGOGOGOGOGOGO!!!"
Rebecca will scream like a madgirl, happiness in her voice breaking all the possible human limits for it. After doing so for a bit, Rebecca will aim carefully and calculate the trajectory, then cutting all the threads so that the centrifugal force throws her right onto Ines. She will make sure to sever all the threads so that Ines is not cut anywhere. If successful, Rebecca will scream happily.
"WELCOME TO HEAVEN MY LOVE!!!!!"
She will kiss Ines all over the face, her arms and threads hugging her body strongly. If she misses, she will use her threads as a shield to protect her from crushing into the wall and will dash at Ines after she stands up, repeating the same procedure. After kissing is done, Rebecca will stare at Ines with a burning glare.
"Tell me Ines, do you love me? Do you appreciate my presence in this world? Can you feel how awesome it is? Wanna me make it even more awesome?"
Rebecca will stare at Ines, hugging her tighter and tigheter.

Getting rid of the cultists was a breeze... Speaking of breeze, she got the feeling her playmate had just came in for round two. Yet Rebecca, who seemed heavily drugged; didn't seem to recognize her, at least not for who she was, and started performing the new itineration of her wierd thread shennanigans. It took a while to realize what she was about to do, but once she started speeding up it became for obvious...
"Tch... At least she can still use her threads...", she thought to herself, attempting a swift sidestep, while moving one arm between the two of them, "Not that i don't appreciate the loving welcome, but I'm not Ines..."
She wouldn't deny, being greeted with a hottie jumping onto her was a refreshing change of pace, even if Rebecca was hardly her type, but the timing was seriously off... Should Meredith be unable to move out of the way before Rebecca lands into her, she'll simply use her arm to push her away and hopefully get her attention long enough. If Rebecca misses but tries again, Meredith will repeat the same action to keep her away:
"Sweetie, It's not Ines; It's Meredith... We have teammates to save and baddies to kill, so we should probably get to it.", she'll say with a calm yet slightly perky tone, highlighting the difference between bitchy, sarcastic teen attitude and Ines' genuine kindless and gentle demeanor, in case she remained oblivious to everything else. If Meredith's unable to convince Rebecca she's not Ines even after repeatedly insisting/pushing her away, she'll act the part of her lover to get her to cooperate more easily, ceasing to struggle and returning her embrace and. This was no easy task, since even though Meredith had seen Ines one time or another, she hadn't studied her behavior patterns well enough to mimic her; well, if Rebecca's unable to correctly identify her so far, it might not be so troublesome to "emulate" the pink haired renegade. "I love you more than anything... Having you in my life was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I'm lost when you're not around, but I'll wait an eternity for the hope to see you again, and I'll tear down whatever comes between us. No matter what, even if we're kept from each other's arms, never forget that Ines will always love you.", Meredith wasn't used to acting all gooey and romantic, but did her best to improvise, with a loving yet intense tone and expression, "That's why as tempting as that sounds i cannot stand letting those who hurt you have their way... We'll take care of them, and then it will just be the two of us; and we'll make up for all the lost time."
Meredith would finish her long winded speech with a slow kiss, hoping it would be enough to keep Rebecca off her until the drugs wore off. Regardless of whether she convinced Rebecca of her real identity or resigned to the one Rebecca gave her, she followed through the dungeon towards where the sacrifices were held, reaching for her left sword in case what was inside was more than just humans...

.:Rebecca:.
Carouseling around the room, Rebecca finally reached the required speed, and launched herself towards Ines.... With a huge kabooming sound* accompanied by a wild laugh Rebecca crushed into the girl of her dreams. Ines squished and squirreled, trying to get away from Rebeccas multipronged embrace, to push her away, to free herself.... But Rebecca didnt notice that. She giggled and released more and more threads, quickly becoming incensed by Iness nimble movements.
"Owwww, you are such a tease today, Ines, I knew you would want it as much as I do~~"
It didnt seem like Rebecca was affected by words Meredith muttered... even the difference of tones slipped her attention. Those words simply didnt fit with her view of the world right now, and were not strong enough to really shatter that image. Therefore, Rebeccas mind simply went with what was more exciting for her.
Giggling louder and louder, Rebecca abandoned the last barrier, letting her threads slip down between Iness legs, aiming to enter her love in a teasing and suggestive manner from both fronts.
"Dont be shy Ines, lets play, this is a rare moment of us together, so we have to go all the way to heaven~~"
Suddenly, Ines stopped struggling and returned her embrace... Her words made Rebecca stop giggling and as soon as she finished talking, Rebecca launched herself forward, kissing her lover as intensely as she could. It took a good amount of time for the kiss to be cut off.
"Oh Ines, you cutie pie, you are so sweet and lovable! You are the sole reason for my life to exist and continue! My love for you will never rot, and even if i die my soul will find you and protect you from all the dangers of the world!"
Rebecca cut her words off, remembering the last part of Iness words. Somebody was in... trouble?
"What has happened? Come to think of it... why are you here? You came for me, didnt you?! Tell me, what has happened to you so far and what do we have to do?"
Rebecca will listen to Ines with great attention. Once all is said, she will release Ines and follow her whenever she decides to go.

It's not like Meredith was trying very hard to escape from her own teammate who was mistaking her for her lover; and considering Rebecca was roughly equal to her in power, not trying would always result in failing... Actually persuading her that she wasn't Ines would indeed be troublesome, and would likely require more time thay had to spare. Plus, if she was this confused, the only thing she'd need to keep up this facade was treat her like a lover as well; and she did: If she wanted a lover, she'd get one. She let Rebecca remain on top of her, even as she discovered the real reason why Rebecca produced those threads, despite the discomfort that knowledge brought her when she felt them run up her legs:
"These two are into some kinky shit... Whatever happened to the good old jamming your head between my thighs?", she thought to herself. Meredith had no qualms with returning her affections for the moment; at least it still was a woman attractive enough for her tastes. She returned her kisses without hesitation, tongue to tongue, and held her tighter, pressing her own body harder against hers, yet all the while making a mental countdown regarding how long she intened to let Rebecca have her way before taking a more forceful approach to convincing her they had more important things to do. If Ines was able to get Rebecca to do what she wanted, then by extension so would she; Eventually, some of the words she said early actually sunk in, and it appeared at least a part of her realized that might be something more important going on outside.
"Don't you remember? You weren't here alone... You came here in a team of four; they managed to capture you and two of your teammates. We can't these people have their way... We need to save them...", she said, while caressing Rebecca's hair; instead of sounding like a bloodthirsty teenager as always, she act more gentle, and genuinely concerned for her fellow warrior (which she was, but preferred not to show)
Somehow that felt more like Rebecca's type than just being Meredith... Should Rebecca pay attention to her words and delay the booty call, Meredith will lead them through the tunnell opposite.

Meredith & RebeccaThere seemed to be no other choice than acting the part. Even though the act was poor it was enough to fool a drugged Rebecca. Especially since Meredith was letting her have it her way this was going to dangerous areas in a dangerous situation. The warrior unlike her comrade could hear the scream from the east rooms. A cultist had found the unconscious body and now all cultists were flooding there. There was little room to benefit from this. Time was running out... Rebecca followed her dear love as she pulled her across the corridor into the ritual hall which looked like an altar to her. Meredith’s act had intensified the drugs effect. The more Rebecca got response the more Meredith looked like Inés. And since Meredith was letting her ‘love’, Becky’s vision of Inés became more suited to the current situation...
( Posted Image)
Just as Rebecca was drooling over Inés’ image Meredith encountered another potential obstacle. The yoki source and appearance she recognized instantly. This was the angel and she was blocking their way. Well only one way but that was not the point. With one yell she could bring all the cultists there. Not that the cultists would get to them eventually. ”Hmm...Quite faithful aren’t we? Perhaps a full union is of order?” ~Angel These words translated differently in Becky’s head. Now there was a blessing from God! An angel was to personally wed them. What could be better than this!? This was an opportunity that couldn’t be missed. On the other hand Meredith was missing time on survival. Time was running out. Not to mention there was a weird renegade saying stuff that was further complicating things... If noisy stuff happens they’ll search immediately. :P
( Posted Image)
.:Rebecca:.
"Gulping Crocodiles, it’s a freaking angel!"
Rebecca was ecstatic, her threads shacking violently, caressing Ines’ body all around. She grabbed her own cheek and pulled it as far as possible, just to confirm that all of these heavenly happenings were indeed reality, and not just farewell dreams of a dying girl. Now her cheek was hurting badly, making Rebecca smile even more - it was all indeed real. However, there was one thing at the back of her mind that just couldn’t let her roam around freely.
"You came here in a team of four; they managed to capture you and two of your teammates."
This was why she let Ines pull her all the way here down from heaven, and that’s why, even though angel was sent to grant her wish, she couldn’t let her perform her magic. Burning from inside, Rebecca forced her lips to say words that she never wanted to say.
"Nay! We shall not comply! When breed is in deadly peril, We hasten to avail!"
Crushing the skulls of all with a deadly poetic bludgeon, Rebecca’s mouth brought pain to her heart, slaying all of its hopes. Now, when she dared to deny the angles help, all hopes to unite with Ines for eternity perished. It was, indeed, a harsh betrayal to make. Or rather it would have, for Rebecca was more then sure that Ines feels the same way. That was why when she finally glanced at Ines here eyes were not full of sorrow. Instead, she was looking to confirm her thoughts.
"Lead me further, Ines! Recover our friends we shall, before their lives are taken."
Rebecca turned back to angel, expecting to see heavenly anger on cute, young face. Eternal youth... a curse both of their kinds shared.
"Angel, though I denied your offer, I dare to yearn for your heed once more! I intercede with you for my comrades; before its to late, assist with their rescue, for their suffering will be in vain otherwise. I beg for your kindness!"
Rebecca bowed, for her much too daring attitude towards the heavenly being was nothing but a sin. Fully knowing it, she was prepared to be punished accordingly.

The cultists had already found out their friend. No matter, they didn't seem to be exactly upstanding memebers of society and Meredith had no intention of dwelling in their cave much longer... She led her partner back through the way they came, looking at her from time to time; defenitely not liking the lustful looks Rebecca was throwing her. This little act might have been able to get her up and walking, but the effects of the drug seemed stronger... However, the Angel bitch was going to let them leave just like that.
"Go right ahead, save us the trouble of getting the rest of them back...", Meredith answered with a smirk. She expected Rebecca would try to bargain with her, but she didn't hold much hope towards, and so she simply got ready to fight at the slightest offensive gesture on her part, "I have little interest in fighting you right now however..."
However, this time she actually felt she had the advantage: With Rebecca beside her and inside a cave where her wings wouldn't serve her nearly as much, she was killable. However, maintaining the appearance of her lover meant she couldn't cut lose right away:
"Be on your guard, Rebecca... That's not an Angel, it's just another enemy.", she whispered a few words of warning just in case.
With that she let Rebecca do her thing and attempt to talk to her. Meredith considered this futile, but Rebecca could take a hit, and she herself was ready for an attack. The issue would be if the Angel attempted to manipulate Rebecca, which wouldn't be hard given her condition... If Angel lets them pass without a fight, Meredith will lead Rebecca out.

Angel was surprised how people misunderstood her. Their heads just worked wrong. This girl she knew from the person she owed her freedom. And it broke her heart to imagine the sadness of her dear friend. The thing before her was not proper or loyal. But no! She said their love was true. So the only one to blame was the one next to her. The message had to be understood though, and for that she needed to come down to this crazy bunch’s level of understanding. ”Imposter! You are no Inés! Rebecca, you are being deceived.” ~Angel Indeed what she said was true. Refusing the idea of getting married was also rejecting the effect of the drug. This caused Rebecca’s body to react instinctively and began detoxing her body. Now when she looked at the person next to her she saw Meredith instead of Inés. Worse now she was recalling all the things happened just now with Meredith’s image. ”Inés is a friend of mine and if you don’t get away from the one she loves....” ~Angel The Angel suddenly revealed the two hidden blades on her arms. She didn’t really look like she wanted to fight. It looked like she was scared and was just trying to act brave. In response to Angels clamoring, Meredith just scoffed and gave her an eye roll. At this point she didn't care whether she was an enemy or not. She wasn't her friend, or her teammate, Meredith didn't give the slightest fuck regarding her well being:
"I don't need to explain myself to you.", she said with a calm, almost bitchy nonchalant tone, very much underlining this indifference towards her.
But as soon as she realized the drugs had worn off, she stopped acting like her lover and resumed acting like her partner and captain, being glad that gooey and romantic act was finally over... Altough, Rebecca was indeed her teammate, and explaining herself to her might contribute to a better cooperation between them; especially if she decided this was worth fighting over immediately:
"No matter what I told, you didn't seem content to get on your feet until I agreed to be your lover.", she shrugged, as if asking what else Rebecca expected her to do.
If Rebecca still remains angry at her or demand further explanation, she'll continue:
"I don't really care if you believe me or not; i'm not even into you. And while we fight, our teammates are still awaiting rescue. Blame the drugs they fed you if you want someone to hate... Blame the guys who ambushed us and trapped you here."
Regardless of her teammate's reactions, once the air has been mostly cleared up she'll turn to Ange, maintaining the same youthful tone, her true personality, while running a hand through her hair, gromming it to freshen up her appearance:
"I don't know you, I don't know Ines, and I don't really have anything personal against either of you... yet... And as I said, fighting you is not a priority right now... But if you care about Rebecca enough to fight over her love life, you could at least try to, i don't know, maybe help out her teammates?"
She didn't bother playing nice... This Angel already seemed to know her for the bitch she was, which made concealing it kind of pointless, all that remained was to sound reasonable... Yet if enough time passes and she still makes no motion to put her weapons away, Meredith will reach for her own blades and indicate that altough she doesn't feel like it, she has no qualms with fighting her regardless of having no beef against her.
Perk: Teenage Beauty
Combat: If either Angel (or Rebecca) suddenly attempt to attack her, she'll attempt to strike preemptively by releasing Full Final Blast and attacking with a two downwards diagonal Sharpsword slashes in opposite directions, deep enough to incapacitate the target, but not enough to grievously injure...

.:Rebecca:.
Suddenly, vision faded away... in a mist, Ines’ face dissolved and Merediths appeared... Rebeccas mouth got wide open. This was way beyond her understanding, and she was rolling her head around, shifting from Angel to Meredith as they exchanged phrase. Meredith explain her reason... memory started returning to Rebecca.
She blushed like a crayfish that is being boiled and retracted her threads away form Meredith, hiding them behind her back embarrassingly. Her body instinctively assumed a balls position as she was slowly realizing what she just did and with who. However, it wasn’t time to be embarrassed - fight was about to break off, and Rebecca absolutely had to prevent that. Waving her hands around, Rebecca pushed her body to become more straight again.
"P-p-please don’t fight, please don’t fight, its all my fault, its all my fault! I’m so sorry Meredith, I have offended you greatly!"
Rebecca started bowing towards Meredith, hoping to make her at least a little bit less angry at her.
"I apologize, it wasn’t my intention to... f-f-f-f... to make love to you! I was seeing you as someone else! Please forgive me!"
Rebecca realized quickly how stupid and unbelievable that sounded, but in this panic and confusion she just couldn’t think of a better way to explain it... besides, she wasn’t all that sure what had led to this. She turned to Angel and waved hands at her, hoping she would put her blades down.
"I’m sorry, this confusion is all my fault! Please don’t be mad at us, we didn’t mean to insult you in any way! ...wait, you know Ines?"
Rebecca suddenly stopped, as another shocking thought reached her. She froze in space looking clueless and confused much like any typical duck.
"Where do you know her from...? Oh wait, its not the time for this! Lets get out of here!" Her mind overrun with hectic thoughts, Rebecca found it hard to concentrate on just one. However, now one thing was clear - she remembered how she got here...
"Where can we go now more or less safely? Angle, maybe you know?"
Clearly, it was time to move on, but where to... Rebecca had no idea. She tried to scan the nearby area with her yoki sensing to try and detect any possible hybrids around and determine safe paths.

Angel didn’t like Meredith’s behaviour. In her perspective she was the regular low life that was given power beyond her deserving. Now she wanted to beat her more than before. With just cause her morale rose high. She was ready for a fight no different than Meredith. Her wings opened wide and for the first time Meredith noticed those soft looking wings actually had metallic lustre under torchlight. This could mean trouble... Then Rebecca curled into a ball out of embarrassment. Angel, being the kid she was, found this very funny and began giggling which eventually turned into healthy laughter as Rebecca began apologizing. This broke the tension for her as she concealed her arm blades and closed her wings. Angel smiled at Rebecca and she could see why Inés loved her. ”My name is Lorie. And yes I know Miss Inés Blanc. She saved me from the dungeons of the Organization while she was looking for books.” ~Lorie If it weren’t for rumours they heard both Meredith and Rebecca could think she was talking non-sense. Among warriors it was told that a few years ago someone broke into the Organization HQ in Sutafu and stole from a hidden library that contained secret knowledge of the men in black. Organization naturally denied that such a thing ever happened. Yet this didn’t stop rumours. But it was the first time they heard a name for the thief. Lorie looked around after Rebecca asked her where to go. The renegade looked towards the place where she entered and which Meredith noted as a secret entrance. Then she turned to east and pointed towards there. ”The exit is there to the east. Stairs there will lead up to the cathedral library, where you can sneak out of the island and into the city.” ~Lorie ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: In my next post cultists begin search.
