"Quite a blood-thirsty little whore aren't you? Listen, even if you manage to beat me. You can't kill me. Not if you want out of this city alive," said Amajina, still oozing confidence, but a little worried by Meredith's behaviour.

Meredith and Alexei moved again at the same pace. Meredith clashed with the puppet at full force and both performed a feint which tricked Amajina completely. The raised shield didn't even get touched and Alexei moved around, while Meredith changed position. But Amajina was quick after realizing she had been tricked and pulled on her controller which caused the puppet to spin around. Meredith went straight for the control with a hilt-strike, but Amajina dodged the attack with a quick roll and yanked on the puppet. Alexei went for the hit and while his downward slash missed entirely, the blood was thrown onto Amajina. She avoided getting hit on the face, but the acid on her shoulder and arms was melting in.

Her evasion was incredible for a human, but Meredith noticed how tired she looked afterwards. It clearly wasn't a style Amajina could rely on for long, and now she was injured and bleeding profusely from her wounds she wouldn't be able to fight much longer. Yet Amajina didn't look like she was ready to give up.

"Careless fools... you have as much grace and finesse as a buffalo," said Amajina.

Clearly Alexei's blood was too dangerous to capture Amajina with. Even being a little careless with the spray would result in her death, and with this many witnesses he would certainly be put to down.

From a distance, Alexei could see Melfina performing a drinking motion and pointing at the bottle Elena had given him.

This woman was annoying, much too annoying... Meredith chuckled in amusement at the woman's remark, with a devious look in her eyes... In her hatefulness, Meredith's thoughs went to a place she never honestly though she'd get to... However her talk about "you can't kill me" and blah blah blah meant she already knew she was going to lose soon:

"I'm not gonna kill you, bitch...", she grinned with mock bitchy friendliness, "That would be too kind, and not known for my kindness..."

Meredith noticed how Alexei's blood was indeed not good for anything other than killing stuff. She wouldn't handle much more of it; they had to knock her out quickly... She focused on keeping her Yoki supressed as she waited for Alexei to chug down Elena's drug so they could attack her one last time.



[STRATEGY]
Skill: Final Blast

1 - She will again run closer to Amajina alongside Alexei, rushing towards the puppet, moving the exact same way as she did earlier, as a feint, aiming to make the woman believe she's about to try the exact same thing; going for a feint sword slash then go around, so that she'll move her puppet appropriately and allow Meredith to get closer to her on a straight line. If Amajina didn't react as she planned and saw through her feint, Meredith will instead use Final Blast (Combat) once again, to avoid the puppet appropriately and get close enough to Amajina that she can't risk striking with the doll without hurting herself.

2 - Once Meredith manages to move closer, she will aim to strike Amajina with her sword. Only this is a feint, and she will instead duck and dash to close any distance that might still exist between herself and her target, and swiftly move behind her, wrapping her left arm around her neck, and swiftly moving Amajina between herself and the puppet, almost like a human shield, laughing in amusement as the woman can no longer attack Meredith without killing herself, and wrapping her right arm around her body completely preventing her from escaping. If Meredith is unable to get close enough using her base speed, she'll use Final Blast (COmbat) after Amajina dodges and attempt the same move, immediately using her as a shield so she stops attacking with the puppet.
Meredith will pull on her neck hard, almost like a choke, limiting but not completely closing off her breathing, making it so that if Amajina struggles, she'll only be in more pain, effectively choking the fight out of her, and pulling harder if she starts to attack Alexei with the puppet.
"I have a little more... Than just lust for blood, sweetie...", she'll speak, almost whispering in her ear, giggling like an eager teenage girl, "You'd be better off just trying to enjoy it, but I guess i'll just enjoy myself either way, so..."
She will take her time at fondling her boobs with her right hand for a while, then eventually sliding her hand down between her thighs, enjoying her reactions as she rubs her pussy (slipping her hand inside the woman's clothes if she's able to). Meredith will nibble on her neck gently, still laughing and giggling seductively, perhaps enjoying the irony of the situation more than the sex itself.

3 - If she was unable to grab and incapacitate (and harass) Amajina, Meredith will instead just try to punch her in the face so that she will stagger and make way for Alexei. If she succeeded, she'll just continue to fondle the woman until Alexei force feeds the numbing agent in any way... She will attempt to steer clear of the puppet at all times unless she's already using her as a human shield.

[ALEXEI NPC]
YA: 11 (11 to AGI)
Skill: Corrupt Blood; Blood Doping
Perk: Deranged Bloodlust (15% boost; -7,5 INT) ; Hypovolemia Resistance

1 - Alexei will chug down the whole bottle and wait a moment (hopefully until he starts to feel something), re-coating his sword with blood, concentrated on the numbing agent's effect instead of his intent to kill the woman. Afterwards he will again dash towards the target alongside Meredith, and try to circumvent the puppet by running around it, steering clear of it's range, and get himself in attack range of Amajina. If the puppet is focused on him, Alexei will instead dash backwards to move away slightly, allowing Meredith to "do her thing" and buy him a window of opportunity.

2 - If Meredith successfully incapacitated Amajina, Alexei will move closer and attempt to work with the numbing agent in his blood. If she's still playing around with the puppet in attempts of freeing herself or attacking him, Alexei will attempt to yank the controller out of her hands. Afterwards he'll test his blood by dripping it over a non lethal area. If it doesn't melt her, he will slash open his wrist and press it against the woman's mouth, forcing her to drink as much of his blood as required for her to pass out. If his blood still melts her, Alexei will instead wipe the blood off his fist and attempt to knock her out with an uppercut.

3 - If the puppet attacks him while he's testing out the new effect on his blood, Alexei will simply dash sideways out of the way, and either let Meredith incapacitate Amajina further, or instead attempt to feint the puppet by moving to dash to the left and instead dashing to the right, in order to move away from it, approaching Amajina again and giving higher priority to yanking the controller out of her hands. Afterwards, he'll continue what he was doing.

Alexei uncorked the bottle and downed the liquid like an alcoholic aching for a drink. His body started to get cold and numb, and for a while it was difficult to stand up, but soon Alexei could feel the potion taking effect and his body became used to it. Standing up again, Alexei could feel this new blood coursing through his veins.

Meredith and Alexei attacked again. Meredith feinted several times, and while the first one caught Amajina off guard, she was two people and the puppet was already reacting. The puppet swiped with its sword and Meredith dodged away, using her speed to quickly get close to Amajina. She went for a backhand slash, but before swinging Meredith rolled towards Amajina and tried to grab her. Amajina's eyes flashed wide open at that moment and she managed to kick Meredith in the face. Meredith's own force was used against her and she crashed into the wall.

Alexei however took this chance to grab Amajina from behind. His wrists already bloody. He dripped some blood on Amajina which she flinched for, but it didn't burn it. The blood slowly moved down her arm and finally fell to the floor, creating a few spatters. Alexei took this chance to see that Amajina's arm had fell a little. The blood was numbing only from contact. Alexei started to pour the blood into her mouth and Amajina struggled a little bit. She spat out the first gulp but soon her entire body went limp, and as it did the puppet stopped moving and dropped to the floor.

Skill Gained!
Skill: Corrupt Blood (Paralytic Vessels)
By manipulating his blood with his own yoki Alexei can give it numbing properties, instead of just corrosive ones. Once in contact with the oponents blood Alexei's blood numbs their muscles making it harder for them move around.

Decreases target's physical and combat atributes proportional to the amount of blood that got into the wounds. Based on PRE atribute, just like the original skill. Lowers physical stats or combat stats by Alexei's (PRE)% depending on contact.
(PRE/4)% for skin contact
(PRE/2)% for light wounds
(PRE)% for deep wounds

Alexei's blood was potent enough to numb on contact, and ingesting it could prove fatal to humans in anything but small doses. Alexei and Meredith grabbed Amajina's body and heaved it back to the Phrontisery. As they approached, the warriors caught the stench of blood. They quickly hurried in and when they opened the door blood starting spilling out. As they looked inside it seemed like a massacre. Bodies piled on top of each other, slumped over desks like they didn't see what had happened.

"Oh my god... what happened? Twelve have mercy..." said Melfina as she shut her eyes tight and begun to pray.

Alexei could feel a faint Yoki from the back room. They quickly moved forward and opened the door to see Cassandra on the floor, bloody and bruised, while Elena's body was on the floor, missing a head. Cassandra was barely alive and her consciousness was fading, but her hand was reaching out for Elena. Their fingers touched and that seemed to be enough for Cassandra who fell asleep afterwards.

Both warriors could hear Amajina chuckling through the numbness. Apparently the hilarity of this event was strong enough to bypass even the poison.

"Thanks...for...the...win...ha..." mumbled Amajina with a half-cocked wry smile.

"Buzzkill...", Meredith spoke, to Amajina angrily getting ready to get back in the fight, but Alexei managed to get the job done, saving time, "At least your good for something..."

She didn't manage to have her way with Amajina, but at least they succeeded in picking her up and carrying her back. However when they did, it was clear someone had beat them to it. Immediately she smelled it, and soon, she saw it. Meredith groaned, giving Amajina an eyeroll:

"Wow, not even while knocked out you manage to be quiet... Will you shut up?", she remarked with a tone of utter boredom.

Meredith examined the two women. Cassandra appeared to be alive but it didn't feel like she was in any condition to talk... They'd have to do everything themselves.


[ACTIONS/Alexei NPC]

Meredith will scout out the area using Eagle Eye and Enhanced Yoki Tracking, and Alexei will do the same. They'll look for clues or anything that might hint towards who could have taken out those two so easily. If Cassandra appears to come to, or in any way appear capable of talking, Meredith will crouch down next to her (Gentle Beauty, Teenage Beauty), and ask her with a calm tone:

"Care to tell us who did this?"

If there are no clues, and Cassandra seems unable to talk, Meredith will turn to Amajina, grabing her by the collar and lifting her up menacingly:

"If you can speak enough to blabber worthlessly you can tell us who's responsible for this bloody mess..."

Regardless, Meredith will remain focused should whatever it was that attacked those two comes back and attacks them. If she senses any attackers, she will use Final Blast and dodge to the side, grabbing her sword and getting ready for battle. If Alexei is attacked, he'll release about 30% Yoki (12YA to AGI) and focus on dodging to the side as well.

OCC: Disregard Meredith's NPC, I'm back. Sorry SS it's not bad or anything I just wanna put some RP in it and add some stuff.

As Amajina's body started going numb Alexei couldn't help but smile. As she tried to struggle out of it he just said.

"Don't fight it... It'll be over soon."
As she finnaly fell both warriors made their way back to the Phrontisery. The scent of blood spiked Alexei's curiosity once more. Everytime he turned his back on that place something died. As Melfina seemed even more distrubed with all the dead bodies, he turned to face her.

"You can go wait outside if you'd prefer. We can handle things in here."
As Amajina tried to laugh in between the numbness Alexei was all but amused. Yet again their job had been delayed, but this time there was something they could actually do about it.

"Laugh while you can you motherfucking bitch. You won't laughing for much longer."

Actions:

Alexei will scout out the room for a place to throw her down. If there isn't any we'll just chuck her onto the floor. "Just stay there for a couple of seconds, I've to go check on them first."

Alexei will quickly aproach Cassandra to see if she died or just momentarly fainted. Either way he'll pick her up and set her somewhere cleaner hoping she comes through, if she does he'll inquire as to what happened when they left, if she doesn't he'll turn to Amajina once more.

He'll walk to her and grab her hand, slowly clenching it. "Listen here bitch. We are now in a room filled with dead people and you're right next to someone who can, if necessary, melt away your godamned remains." We'll continue to tighten the grip on her hand in such a way that it will be painful at least. "So, you can either talk or we can this beutiful evening quite unpleasent. You're choice."

Meredith and Alexei looked around the room for clues, but all they could see were signs of struggle against an opponent that didn't seem to exist. Alexei told Melfina to wait outside, but the girl was too scared to even move from her spot. The blood and bodies told no tales. While Meredith looked around more, Alexei picked up Cassandra and moved her.

The woman started shuffling around a bit, and soon woke up when Alexei placed her down.

"El..ena..." mumbled Cassandra.

Meredith saw this and ran over to her quickly to ask who did this. Cassandra lifted up her hands and pointed towards Amajina. Melfina was looking around in a panic.

Amajina did nothing but laugh weakly, "Foo...lish...Heheh..."

Meredith and Alexei both decided to deal with Amajina the same way, which is what she was used too. She wasn't fazed, or afraid of them any longer. But there was no good reason for her confidence. As Meredith and Alexei both barked at Amajina, they felt a sharp pain from their necks shooting down their spine. Alexei turned to see who the culprit was, and to his shock, Melfina was standing above them both with a sharp ice pick in her hands.

"Hehehe... you two are so much fun!" said Melfina with a wicked grin. "So cute, so cute!!"

Melfina kicked over Alexei and Meredith to the floor and bent over to give something to Amajina. The woman soon got up and dusted herself off. The first thing Amajina did was kick Meredith in the face, while Melfina was laughing manically with her foot pressed on Alexei's head.

"Well then Amajina, shall we go?" said Melfina.

"What? Kill these idiots!" said Amajina.

"Nah, I can't. I kinda like this one," said Melfina rolling her foot across Alexei's face. "And he likes that one a lot, so if you save one you might as well save the other. Two peas in a pod. If you kill one the other might just take its own life. So pathetic!"

Amajina shrugged and turned to leave, "Whatever, just make sure they don't bother me again."

"They won't, as long as Maximillion can get your support in the future," said Melfina.

"Heh... the Golden King? Oh how far the mighty have fallen to enlist my help. As I recall previously, Max wanted nothing to do with me, or my city. What makes you think I've forgotten that insult?" said Amajina.

"Of course money won't be a sufficient apology. But we have things far more valuable than money. Oh! I know, I could get Max to dance for you. He likes doing that."

"If you obtain every item on my list, then perhaps I'll consider joining forces with you."

"That would be wonderful my dear. Give my regards to Golbeza."

"No thanks. I don't have a death wish," said Amajina, walking away.

Leaving the Phrontisery, Amajina returned to her lair, while Melfina was preparing to leave as well. She kneeled over and stroked Alexei's cheek.

"I really do like you, it's just a shame you could never like me back. Goodbye Alexei, it was a pleasure to work with you, even if you hated it," said Melfina, giving Alexei a soft kiss on the cheek before running out.

A few seconds later a whole group of heavily armoured men burst through the doors. Alexei and Meredith were slowly starting to black out from Melfina's attack while the men surrounded them.

Feeling the rise and fall constantly throughout their bodies, Alexei and Meredith awoke practically at the same time.

"Rise and shine sleeping beauties," said Arngrim, turning around to look at them. "Quite the adventure you guys had."

Looking around, it seemed like Meredith and Alexei were on a large, wooden cart being pulled not by a horse, but Arngrim. He stopped a few moments later with a large sigh.

"Ahhhh! Since you guys are awake now I think you can start walking for yourselves," said Arngrim, rubbing the back of his neck where Alexei and Meredith had been stabbed. Arngrim hadn't been injured at all, but it was a sympathetic response. "I bet you guys don't know what happened after, huh? Basically the Gladiators Guild arrested you both for the murder of the Phrontisery. I tried to help but the Organisation doesn't really mean a lot out here. Luckily for you guys, Cassandra vouched for you both and managed to get you released. The person who killed everyone... this Melfina. There's no record of her at all, and Amajina denies ever knowing or meeting her, and there are no witnesses to prove otherwise. As for that renegade, Gloria, she's already been dealt with."

Meredith and Alexei got out of the cart and stood on their own two feet. It was a bit wobbly, but nothing they couldn't handle. Arngrim continued to walk across the desert, with Alexei and Meredith following him.

"So how'd you like Prosper? Pretty interesting place if you ask me. Lots to love and hate about it, haha!" said Arngrim.

The great city of Prosper was slowly fading into the distance, becoming little more than a memory to those who entered it.

As Alexei was being pinned down by Melfina the only thing he could feel was an uncontrolable rage brewing within. As Melfina and Amajina rambled on his desire to kill her only grew stronger, even more when Melfina told Amajina she'd want to spare their lives. The idea of being saved by the one who made a fool out of him, only increased his desire to cleave her in two. As his senses started going dull Melfina kissed him on the cheek before walking away. As he started to black out he could only imagine killing her. Once he came through Arngrim was with them again. As Arngrim finished his little speech Alexei disliked him a bit less.

"To love and hate is one way to put it. Cause today I swear on the fucking blood I spilled on that town that I'll come back for her. Maybe not tomorow, but soon. I'm going to make it my unholy task to hunt down that bitch who played me all this time and slice her into tiny bits and pieces. Mark my words."

As they walked away from the town Alexei set himself a new goal. First, get revenge on that bitch Amajina for all of her cockiness and finnaly hunt down Melfina so that he could mount her head at the gate of the city.

She was going to kill those two... Even while unconscious, that was all she could dream about. It was Alexei's fault for hanging around the whore all the time, but most of her rage was directed towards Amajina.

"Bitch is gonna pay...", she muttered hatefully, the first thing she said when she regained conscience.

Arngrim was there already. It appeared Amajina tried to frame them for the bloodshed, but thanks to Cassandra her plan failed miserably. She'd pay the price tenfold. The organization forbids killing humans, but if she just made her squeal like a little pig while leaving her alive that was probably acceptable. She knew that at least her own Handler wouldn't give a shit (which was perhaps the only think she liked about him).

"Lovely as a sewer tunnel...", she answered Arngrim, following him through the desert. She didn't like this city the least bit, but she would return.
