It was different now. Finally warriors shaken up by the battle were able to think straight and instead of charging in thoughtlessly organized a strategy for all to go along. Julia nodded. This was exactly what she wanted. Arc was giving out the Order of Actions, which everyone seemed to agree with.
”Is that the kind of action you wanted Julia?" Of course it was. Julia nodded ones again. Nevertheless, coordination will be needed when team will already be in action. Julia prepared to take this role on herself.
She dashed. Already surrounded, Cornelius made a quick attempt to break out of the circle through Madallaine, whose position seemed most weak, but stopped it before even starting – he recognized he did not have enough speed to outrun Julia now, and getting caught in between Julia and Madallaine was not within his plans. Making a small curve, Julia flanked Cornelius. He could not react to her slash fast enough to evade, parrying her powerful attack with just one arm. Sword went to the right, now pointing on Madallaine… But Cornelius had no time to exploit this small weakness and counter attack. He was already occupied by Arc.
No yellow butterflies interfere with his run, Cornelius was obviously too busy to use them. Just when Julia’s sword was being deflected, Arc was there. His attacks was not strong, but they were quick – Cornelius had time to regroup, moving farther from Julia, but he had not ime to think of a counter. Mere 4 seconds this lasted… Then Omnielle came.
Cornelius was finally in position when Arc was on Julia’s way, if only a bit. He quickly turned to Omnielle, evading Arcs attack, and dashed in her, attacking her chest and abdomen with both arms. He was obviously faster then her, she could not react in time, but Arc slashed at the chest of Cornelius, forcing him use one of arms for defense, destabilizing his position… One had connected though, but her chest, reinforced with yoki, held it well… almost. Bleeding she was sent flying backwards. Cornelius almost rejoiced on appearance of corridor to escape through, when Mara came.
He had jumped clumsily, trying to save his legs. In the mid air he was caught by Arc. It was not hard to parry that, but Arcs force changed his trajectory. When he landed, Madallaine was already there. He had to jump ones again, and again it was Arc who awaited him. He changed tactics this time, bending in mid-air to avoid contact. He landed on all four, and was able to jump right before Mara came in ones again. Fearing to expose her back to Madallaine any longer, as she was right near, coming for an attack, he leaped in the corridor between Arc and Mara. Obviously he could not concentrate enough anymore, overwhelmed by number and frequency f attacks from all sides. Where he landed Julia was standing. This time he did not get to leap again before meeting a sword. A deep cut came through his left hand. Julia’s sword was now all bloody.
