Kaiserin
Watching the yoma panic caused Kaiserin to feel a great deal of excitement. This time she had to move quick and think quicker. Kaiserin sighted all the yoma grouped together and knew that she needed some delayed distractions in order to succeed in taking them all out quickly. Kaiserin took note of the wind once more, it wasn't blowing in the best direction, going from west to east, but as long as the wind speed kept up the tree would fall on time. Taking out her sword, she cut the tree like an un-experienced lumberjack and weakened it enough for it to fall on its own. The count down had started, Kaiserin had 3 minutes before the tree fell.
She bit her bottom lip to restrain herself and headed south in the forest. The creature she was about to face wasn't something she had fought before, but that made it the perfect target to practice on.
I wonder if Ines is having fun watching, thought Kaiserin. She probably sensed what was coming and was laughing at her. Still, Kaiserin knew she had to have fun with it, otherwise she wouldn't learn anything. Pick up the pace this time, she said to herself.
She moved until she lined up with the southern most yoma that was closest to the forest. The first move was important. She had to play her game perfectly. She had to anticipate every move and reaction and make predictions according to what she did. Kaiserin resumed the count down in her head. She had 1 minute left before the tree fell.
Picking up two stones, Kaiserin hurled them both left and right to distract the four yoma to either side. She looked at her target right in front of her to see what way he would face, if he looked at all. The stones landed, bouncing off the floor and rolling. A momentary reflex caused the Yoma to look away for a second before turning around to see who could've thrown it. But looking back they saw the yoma lying dead on the floor. Kaiserin dashed back into the forest and waited for the two yoma closest to the south to take the bait and investigate their dead friend. They drew in closer, Kaiserin could hear their breathing, she could practically feel the sweat dripping from their foreheads. Thirty seconds left... said Kaiserin to herself.
The yoma looked around for the culprit. Their panic was obvious, but Kaiserin couldn't move yet. She had to wait patiently for her moment to shine. Five, four, three, two, one...
The tree didn't fall. Kaiserin panicked a little, if she didn't go soon she would lose her chance. A loud Crash came from the east. The Yoma turned to the east for a second and Kaiserin burst from her hiding place and took the two yoma down next to her with a circular swing of her sword. Running north with all her speed, Kaiserin reached the cover of the light clearing while the dust was still settling. The yoma wasn't hiding very well and Kaiserin managed to run past him while slashing his spine with her sword. Disabled but not dead, Kaiserin moved west to her next target. Having felt various comrades fall, the Yoma was caught in the throes of panic. Looking directly at the last place it felt Yoki, the yoma was focused heavily on the rustling of the bushes due to the wind. Already taking advantage of that, Kaiserin had circled around and stabbed the Yoma in the back.
The rumbling was getting louder. Kaiserin was running out of time to deal with the last yoma. A simple trick would suffice. A distraction like the rest. Something to focus on while something meaningful was in place. Getting close to the outskirts of the light clearing, towards the south eastern side, Kaiserin picked up a large branch and hurled it in the air right towards the yoma. Looking up to defend itself and deal with the immediate threat, Kaiserin kept low and ran at the Yoma with all her might. Taking notice a little too late, the yoma looked down at Kaiserin right as she was drawing back her sword. A moment later the yoma's vision was spinning around in circles before landing heavily onto the ground.
"Thanks for the lesson," said Kaiserin quietly, turning to face the monster that was approaching her. "Now what... continue playing the game?"
Kaiserin ran towards the heavy forest in the centre of the battle field. She would face the monster there. Kaiserin could feel the vibrations in the ground from quite a distance away. Perhaps this would work... thought Kaiserin, as she wondered how to deal with the monster. As the gears turned in her mind, Kaiserin began climbing the nearest tree. It was much easier than it was 5 or so years ago, when falling from the tree was more common than climbing it. But old habits died hard, and Kaiserin managed to climb the tallest tree in her area.
Looking out to the north, Kaiserin waited patiently for the sonar blasts. If the rumors were true and the monster really was blind, Kaiserin would figure out how it found people. The monster drew nearer and soon a shock wave was emitted from the creature. Taking a chance, Kaiserin jumped from her perch in the tree and soared through the air preparing to land on the monster. She drastically increased her strength for a moment and plunged deep into the monster's back. She slid down, creating a gaping wound that blood gushed out of. The monster reared and tumbled. Kaiserin took the moment to continue her assault by repeatedly slashing the monster's face. In one moment of weakness and surprise, Kaiserin managed to slay the beast. Even in that moment she increased her power, she knew the finality of her actions. The surprise only helped her do more damage, an additional nail in the proverbial coffin. Kaiserin breathed a sigh of relief and fell to her ass on the ground. Sitting back, Kaiserin could look up at the stars and relax. But soon, she decided to head back towards Ines.
"I'm beat, let's go back to town and find a place to sleep," said Kaiserin, trudging off to get her equipment and walking towards Toriro again.

~Inés~
It all ended without complications. For Inés this was very boring as there wasn’t much challenge. Oh well, at least Kaiserin wouldn’t bother her with questions on stealth. Witnessing one’s own ability was enough to make them shut up.
”Sure. /yawn But don’t forget, you have a favour to do for me. I want to learn how you use yoki to enhance your body. I know you can pump more yoki into a single area. Anyway back to Toriro! /go ”
Inés headed to Toriro with Kaiserin where they found Frederick’s house. The building was abandoned. Apparently no one had moved in after the owner left. Inés had spare keys from years ago and opened the door with ease. Kaiserin could smell some food in the cellar, Fredrick hadn’t left long ago. Inside Inés sat lazily on a couch.

Kaiserin
The walk back was mostly uneventful. Kaiserin was happy to have tested her abilities in the field. Tanit always said that any experience is good experience, and by this moment most of Tanit's teachings had been beaten into Kaiserin. Having reached a house, Kaiserin walked in and was instantly disappointed. Ines sat on the couch, already eager to get started. Kaiserin listened to her, but her mind was wandering downstairs as Ines talked.
"Alright then," said Kaiserin in a daze of sorts. "But before that, let's eat. I'll get some food, you want anything Ines?"
Kaiserin was already walking away as she spoke, so she didn't hear Ines respond. The food pantry was mostly empty by now, but it did have quick a few bottles and bits laying around. Kaiserin returned with an arm full of stuff stacked up to her eyes. Standing in front of Ines, Kaiserin dropped all the food she had accumulated.
"Here we go, you must be hungry," said Kaiserin warmly.
The food she had presented was completely rotten. But to Kaiserin, it smelled a lot better than human food normally did. Decaying fruit, moldy bread, rotten cheeses. The banquet was a death trap by anyone's standard. About the only thing Kaiserin brought that wasn't rotten in some way, was a bottle of wine. The bottle was dusty, so Kaiserin couldn't see the label. From what Kaiserin had seen, the dustier and older the wine, the better it was. Kaiserin was proud of this find, and happily ran to find some wooden cups. Politely pouring the drinks, Kaiserin handed one to Ines and took a sip from her own cup.
"I... I'm not sure what to think of this, I guess it tastes alright though. What do you think?" asked Kaiserin. She swirled the drink around in her mouth, imitating wine tasters that she had seen. "What do they usually say at this moment...? Summery... with a hint of... chestnut and a splash of... red. A fine year for uhh, this, right?"
Kaiserin smiled, but suddenly remembered what Ines had said earlier. "You're interested in my Yoki? Hmm, easy to show you that, alright then."
Kaiserin increased her Yoki gradually. Her eyes changed from brown, to silver, to gold in a matter of seconds. Soon, Kaiserin reached her limits, overflowing with Yoki.
"Is this alright? If you want another form, you only need to ask, but I would refrain from calling on the Yoma side..." said Kaiserin. In beauty, Kaiserin's Yoki wasn't all that impressive. Most of the time Kaiserin refrained from actively using Yoki in this form, since she had to focus the energy at certain points instead of letting it all float around naturally. Kaiserin couldn't help but think she wasn't being entirely useful yet, but if Ines needed to see a real Yoki release, she would have to change forms...

~Inés~
Her auntie really had to change her tastes in food... In her point of view yoma missed lots of fine taste in the world. For Inés healthy food was tasteless food to be avoided. But on the contrary for yoma the most nutritious food was also the tastiest. She wondered if the taste reception of yoma could be altered. Inés would have to ask this to Monute one day.
And the wine... Inés was strictly against all form of alcohol. Lina made the girl hate alcohol after seeing drunkards in taverns where Lina went in to drink beer. She didn’t drink from the wine. The girl would drink milk later. On second thought, water would be fine. Inés kept her distance to milk ever since her growth spurt, despite liking it so much.
”No thanks... I think I’ll pass. /e3 ”
Then before warning her Kaiserin began releasing yoki. Naturally without altering her eyes Inés didn’t get a good view of the yoki flow. Inés was aware that the yoma side was aggressive, but she wanted to learn it. The problem was keeping the yoma dominant Kaiserin from rampaging in Toriro or attacking her. Inés was confident should could defend against Kaiserin but she couldn’t help bystanders. Plus they just found a relatively comfortable house...
”You better bring out the hybrid and this time overload a single area in your body rather than spreading it all out.”
This time Inés was ready to observe the yoki flow fully. She’d carefully watch how Kaiserin used yoki to boost a muscle set in her body. Inés couldn’t use yoki beyond a certain limit. This demonstration would show how to break that limit.

Kaiserin
Kaiserin took back Ines's glass and put it with the rest of the rotten food. Perhaps the banquet wasn't to taste, but humans always had such complicated tastes. They could eat a hundred different things, for a hundred different reason, but Kaiserin only needed meat. She supposed that she had it better than humans, after all, her food was in bountiful supply.
"Oh, of course. Sorry I couldn't help you more. Um, apologies in advance," said Kaiserin closing her eyes. Her Yoki increased again and her hair changed back to silver, along with her eyes. Looking up with a smile, Kaiserin jumped to her feet, kicking over some of the rotten food. "Ooookay! Let's get this party started!"
Kaiserin, hyper active as always in her hybrid state, kicked the rest of the banquet towards Ines. "Haha, here goes."
Kaiserin's Yoki increased quickly, she was pouring every ounce into her muscles. On an ordinary day, Kaiserin was about as strong as a sack of potatoes (in hybrid terms), but she knew exactly how to get around her limitations. To Kaiserin, abusing her Yoki use wasn't a big deal. While most warriors struggled to keep their Yoki and the monster within in check, Kaiserin already was a monster. To her, Yoki was as natural as the blood that pumped within her. The Yoki seemed to split around Kaiserin's arms, and although no additional physical deformations had taken place, Kaiserin had pumped enough Yoki in there to life a forklift.
Before Ines could analyze it fully, Kaiserin playfully ran up to the couch and picked up the entire thing with Ines on it still. Spinning around joyfully Kaiserin had Ines on a carousel. Castle Kaiserin was playful and easily bored, especially when not with a mission to keep her attention or weaker allies that needed protecting. Kaiserin didn't have to worry about Ines's ability to survive.
"Heave ho!" yelled Kaiserin, throwing the couch with Ines on it through the door entirely. "Uhhh, uh-oh. Ines! Are you OK?"
Kaiserin's Yoki dropped down again. "Umm, sorry! This game is kinda boring though, we should go have some fun."
Kaiserin wandered out of the house, walking over the debris. "You coming Ines?"
Would Castle Kaiserin prove too playful to learn from?

~Inés~
Kaiserin had thrown her through the door with the couch she was lying on. At least the couch’s end had shielded her from the impact. Inés rubbed her head and wiped the dust and rubble as she got up from the now ruined couch. Her eyes shined with joy.
”WELCOME BACK AUNTIE!!! Gee that brown hair version of you is boooring. :D This is the auntie Kaiserin I know!”
Inés wasn’t able to examine the yoki flow fully but she got something good out the sneak peek. Kaiserin’s yoki was like gel. Point was the yoki that moved to her arms were incredibly dense. If a muscle’s volume determined how much yoki can be fed into it then the trick was to compress more yoki into that volume. All Inés had to do was make her yoki denser. The denser the flowing substance the more viscous it was. And since her yoki masking depended on slower flow she could work this out without having Kaiserin’s awakened being quality yoki.
But for current Inés fun and games came along with work. She shared her auntie’s boredom. But before she could think of more fun games she had to find a playground. During the time they went there several simple, educational games could be played.
”Race me to the river! :P ”
Inés ran towards the river where Kaiserin hunted down Grishnah’s scouts earlier as fast as she could. She expected Kaiserin to outrun her to there. Inés will observe her yoki during the race. Once at the river she’ll ask Kaiserin to enter another competition.
”That was fast auntie! No fair... :( Let’s see if you can swim against the current while I run along the river bank and still win. /gg ”
In the case Kaiserin accepts the challenge Inés will run across the river while observing Kaiserin’s yoki as she swims upstream. This was the real opportunity to make a proper examination of Kaiserin's yoki. She'll try to find out how the yoki moves and how it effects and is stored in body parts.

Kaiserin
Ines seemed to be fine, which is what Kaiserin expected. Her reaction however, wasn't so expected. But that only made Kaiserin grin. Encouraging Kaiserin isn't something Tanit would advise to her mission handler.
"She IS boring, isn't she? I tell her that all the time. Wait, that isn't right. Ignore that, haha!" said Kaiserin, brushing her hair back with her hand.
Before Kaiserin could think more, Ines suggested a race and started running. Kaiserin wasn't usually one to run for any reason, except for being chased or chasing someone. That's all Kaiserin could think about. Ines was running, and she had to chase her. But Kaiserin had already forgotten what Ines originally said. The problem with a short attention span with a high metabolic rate. Increasing her Yoki, Kaiserin's skin suddenly turned pale, almost ghostly. A wide, sadistic grin formed on her face. Catching Ines would be fun.
"You may have a head start, but you can't outrun me," said Kaiserin.
Kaiserin's back ripped open and her wings appeared. Stepping off, Kaiserin burst into action. Catching up to Ines was the easy part, tackling her was the fun part. "Hah! Now this is fun!" shouted Kaiserin.
With a playful throw, Ines was launched into the river. Still in the air, Kaiserin took out her sword and pointed her hand at her.
"Stupid kid."
-----
OOC: Test starts now, it's a choice between fighting Beast Kaiserin using 3x limit (with a twist), or talking her down and keeping her attention originally to see the Yoki flow.

~Inés~
Oh water was refreshing... Inés shook the haziness away and saw Kaiserin as the monster she was. If her auntie wanted her niece hurt then she had to respond in kind. Inés went with the flow for a while slowly making her way to the bank. Once at the river bend the river slowed down and Inés got out of the waters with her sword drawn. In the pagan temple she learned how to swim the hard way and had practiced ever since in order to beat this weakness.
”Naive maybe, but not stupid :D”
Inés was aware that without an extra hand she could not defeat Kaiserin, but boring her with a stalemate was possible. She could evolve to her quasi-awakened state, however this was about yoki. And she would respond by yoki. Now she only had to increase her power with yoki beyond its normal limits.
”I’ll play by your game.~~ So don’t go and call me a spoilsport. :P ”
Inés locked on Kaiserin’s yoki and body. She had abundant data on her abilities, so predicting her actions would be much of an issue. The only thing left was using yoki. Copying Kaiserin’s yoki usage could only take her so far. The two of them were different as heaven and earth. Anything that applied to Kaiserin would probably not work for her.
It’s all about the storage places. For additional conservation I don’t make yoki flow in my body, but instead I store yoki in wells distributed strategically in my body. That way when needed I can draw yoki from minimal distance hence without much body resistance to yoki flow and consequently less energy loss. Now if I can use those storage places to compress my yoki... /gg
It was time for a small trial. Inés pumped yoki into storage areas. Even in the storage area yoki still flowed in confinement. Now it was the turn of her inner yoki flow control. She began slowing down the yoki flow within the storage area. Like most matter when slowed down the yoki’s volume had to shrink allowing Inés to bring more yoki into the storage place.
She’d start with humble amounts, slightly above the limit. Then when needed, that yoki would flow like lightning into the muscles that need its power and return before even others could sense its motion. And to think of it, since she was moving more yoki compressed form then the amount of yoki she could redirect would increase as well. Two birds with one stone. All was good in theory, now the practice...
Actions: Inés will wait for Kaiserin’s response. She’ll be ready for finger bullets and finger extensions along with melee attacks. If attacked, Inés will parry attacks and move around in order not to get cornered or trapped by finger extensions. In melee she’ll counter attack with rapid thrusts after parrying. If possible she’ll use trees as cover but will watch out for falling trees.
If not attacked Inés will answer Kaiserin and act accordingly.
Skills: FSE (Focus mode & OBS mode, Spectral Vision), Earth Essence Skill Attempt: Plasma Flow (Wind Essence + Flame Essence) Yoki: +21 DEX & +24 INT (REF)

Ines left the river and prepared for battle. She tried to increase her Yoki past her natural limits, the but the effect was underwhelming at best. Kaiserin smiled wryly, she couldn't remember exactly what had brought them to this point. But Ines had a sword, Kaiserin had a sword, and soon their swords would touch. This made Kaiserin tingle with excitement, at least for the moment. Predictably, Kaiserin started the battle with finger bullets, but Ines managed to parry them away. The barrage was close to hitting, but never did. Kaiserin's extensions fared no better, but as Kaiserin was wasting time trying to hit Ines from the air, Ines got a good look at Kaiserin's Yoki. She had pumped 100% of it into her hands, but Ines could see a lot of Yoki still flowing around Kaiserin, increasing her strength at the same time. "Psh, little shit. You think you're sooooo hot and tall. Well screw you!" shouted Kaiserin. Kaiserin dropped to the ground and decided to play with Ines face to face. The two clashed and Ines parried Kaiserin's attacks with ease. The girl turned face and cut Kaiserin with a swift counter. It was a good, clean hit, and Kaiserin was bleeding from her shoulders and stomach, but the damage didn't seem to bother her. Kaiserin wasn't used to be countered, so the attack threw her back a bit. Deciding to change her approach, Ines could see Kaiserin putting all her Yoki into her core body. ----- OOC: The idea is to use the chart to trace a path to using more power. ~Inés~It didn’t go as planned. Maybe she was missing a few things. Inés decided to use Kaiserin’s separate area yoki flow with her own technique. She could reverse engineer Kaiserin’s technique later on. Inés will focus all her yoki on her awareness while using residual yoki on different parts of her body. She’ll try to find different parts of body that will aid her awareness so she might surpass the limit when she yoki boosts them. ” :D Try turning into your human form, then maybe you can compete with me. :P ”Meanwhile Kaiserin accidentally found a part in her body that she could use to transfer yoki to nearby body parts. She realized this was the part she used for storing yoki for an energy well attack. Could these locations be used for shorter yoki flow and hence less energy cost? Actions: Inés will be ready for an unorthodox attack. Her main concern will be to predict Kaiserin’s actions and see if there is improvement on to her previous prediction to see if the yoki boost over the limit is working. She won’t go on offensive until she’s sure the going over limit idea of hers works. If Kaiserin attacks in melee she’ll counter attack with slashes. This time Inés will watch for Kaiserin try to disarm her or hold her weapon and will try to predict if there is such a possibility. Ines will also watch for the shield as it can be used as weapon as well. Ines could see the anger on Kaiserin's face at her comment. "The human is weak and good for nothing! Just like you." Kaiserin's Yoki was set, though a noticeably a lot less than it was previously, but she still smiled.
Ines on the other hand, increased her power above and beyond her natural limits. The focus required currently was exhausting. Just keeping this much going was too much, but fighting an opponent at the same time would be nearly impossible. Ines would need to take it slower, going all out from the start would be the end of her, but the idea was formed in her mind.
Kaiserin on the other hand, was focusing on putting Yoki into her core. The Yoki that was automatically stored there could be used. Instead of being a well that captured energy, she could turn it into a bypass for Yoki allowing it to travel through her body instead of being captured by the well. But doing so required her to break the walls of the well and re-purpose it. Further increasing her Yoki, Kaiserin decided to go all out, using her Yoki to break the walls of the well, allowing her more freedom.
Ines could see the Yoki around Kaiserin easily, and Kaiserin's first attack almost happened in slow motion. Ines parried with ease and countered, but her sword just bounced off Kaiserin. Kaiserin and Ines continued to exchange blows, but every time Ines landed a hit it didn't even cause a scratch.
"What a weakling, I've seen dead people hit harder than that," mocked Kaiserin, apparently getting bored with the duel. A swift blow to the ground caused a lot of dust and rubble to appear. "I'm bored with your stupid ass. Maybe I should go to town and get something to eat..."
Kaiserin was just standing idle, though her Yoki was still in place. She didn't seem to care about Ines any more. Wings sprouted from her back, Kaiserin was getting ready to leave...
-----
OOC: Next test is you have to hurt Kaiserin as best you can. No limit on skills or Yoki for the next round (final).

~Inés~It worked somehow, a bit clumsy but it was working. She’d practice this later on to fully master it. Now there was something more urgent. Inés in her current way of thinking wouldn’t care if Kaiserin decided to fill her belly in another town, but Toriro was a place important to her. It was Leonard’s town, her mother’s friend and the man who became a father figure to her. Kaiserin had to be slowed down till she turned into another form that was less dangerous. ” Hey don’t leave me auntie! It’s scary in the woods you know! /wah”Inés this time began slowly increasing her power. One step at a time she went over her natural limits as she fought. Using storage areas Inés slowed down yoki methodically, making it more compressed after each time, enabling to transfer more yoki to body parts at a time using minimal distance. Kaiserin’s yoki was finally moving in shorter distances. She didn’t need to think about it. This was putting less stress on her; hence it was worth keeping this way. Until she found something better that is. Actions: This time Inés will attack first. She’ll feint weak thrusts to focus Kaiserin’s defence on somewhere else while her real attack will be strong slashes on her shoulders and torso. Once she lands a hit Inés will try to keep the pressure on and keeping slashing and piercing Kaiserin. If she seems to recover and start defending effectively Inés will throw in feint slashes again. If attacked Inés will feint dodging while she’ll parry the attack, then follow with a powerful thrust at the abdomen. Once she gets the opportunity Inés will try to get behind Kaiserin and cut her wings. She’ll then focus on slashing her legs. Skills: FSE (Focus mode & OBS mode, Spectral Vision), Earth Essence Skill Attempt: Plasma Flow (Wind Essence + Flame Essence) Yoki: +30 STR & +15 DEX, if she is unable deal desired damage Inés will redirect 15 yoki from DEX to STR. Yoki will return back to DEX if she can't hit/defend against Kaiserin. Bonuses: +1 All (1 YA) --> +2 STR (2 YA) --> +3 STR (4 YA) --> +5 STR (3 YA) --> +10 ASPD (5 YA) --> +10 Combat (15 YA) --> +5 STR (15 YA)
( Posted Image)
---------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Kaiserin obtains Raw Yoki.

Ines's power increased exponentially, it was enough that it caught Kaiserin's attention, but by the time she noticed it was too late. Ines put everything into her first feint, which easily tricked Kaiserin. A couple of quick strokes and Ines danced around Kaiserin, cutting her wings off. Spinning around and finishing the job, Ines cut Kaiserin's legs and caused her to topple down. Survival instincts kicked in, and with soon Kaiserin changed back to Castle.
"Ow ow ow! Ines! Why are you hitting me! It hurts you know!" whined Kaiserin. She was bleeding a lot, but still able to get up alone. "I really don't get you sometimes! Sometimes you're nice, other times you try to kill me. Confusing."
Ines had learned the secrets to breaking her limits, though to reach the level she had temporarily acquired would take a great deal more work. Kaiserin had learned something too, though she had already forgotten what it was. Kaiserin quickly healed herself back to normal, though she looked tired regardless of how healthy she was. Ines too, was exhausted.
"Whew, I'm tired. Wanna go back to town? I'll race you there!" said Kaiserin cheerfully, running off back towards Toriro.

~Inés~
Now that the crisis was over Inés could relax. Her entire body was strained due to the yoki releases, but at least she got something out of it. Her auntie was back a relatively more stable form. This made Inés happy. Then Kaiserin ran to Toriro before Inés could react.
”/dum Wait for me auntie! :( ”
Inés ran after Kaiserin to Toriro just for the fun of it.
