Alright, I'd like to thank everyone who has signed up thus far, and I hope you're all excited for this game to start. We will commence on Monday, 14 February (if you want to be more specific, we start at 1700 GMT, or 1200 EST). Budgets and such will be given out this weekend.

Also, at any time, if you have suggestions, or constructive criticism (please, do not lecture me about history. I am not a histroy major, nor do I intend to be. I intend to have fun), put it in the "suggestions" section, or contact me personally. Check here for more announcements. Happy gaming!

Guys, I know I promised to get news done, among other things, I have had a lot of work thrown on my desk in the past two days: papers, goodness-knows how many phonecalls, meetings, etc. Don't think that I'm inactive, but I should be up and running at full capacity Thursday or Friday at the latest.

Again, I apologize for the inconvience.

As y'all can see, I'm getting pretty good about getting news and such up, even with all the other stuff I need to and the 10-15 messages that greet me after a long day.

However, the military research is going slower than I though; who'd have guessed that military data from anything before 1900 would be readily available? I know I told you all that I'd have everything done this weekend, and I am going to do everything in my power to stick by my word (simply because I like my head, and it wouldn't look good on a silver platter).

I am going to ask then, that you please do NOT contact me to ask when the data will be done. I am not a god, nor even a demi-god, but a normal human being. If it doesn't get done on Sunday (God forbid), then I am not giving up on the game; that means I'm still looking for data. It doesn't help to ask me where your military stats are.

Again, it seems like I have to apologize for my inability to get my act together. Had I finished all of this before I opened the game (good idea!)...

I know the game is getting a good start, and I hope y'all are starting to have something that resembles a good time. However, this week has been not a great week for me in terms of tests, homework, meetings that run until almost midnight, and some sort of sickness. I'm not making an excuse for my inabiliy to post news in the past three days, but giving y'all a head's up. Thankfully, tomorrow is Friday, so I'll be back up and ready to go.

Going along with the above post, on how the past few days haven't beenver conducive to my doing news for the game, please DO NOT (that would be NOT) send me messages at all on Tuesdays. I have meetings that start in the early afternoon and go until 11 PM or later (my time), and just cannot afford to do homework and then news that evening. Thanks, y'all.

Alright, seeing as how this week I am at home (thank God for Spring Break) with a spotty internet connection, I will try my hardest to get through all the news, but it won't be as easy as I thought it would be. I am, therefore, beginning my search for an assistant game manager. With the new map, the trade list, new budgets, military stuff, and news to do (not to mention the rest of my life, academically speaking...this game has become my social life for the most part), I am finding it increasingly difficult to run this game on my own. Damn...well Adam I think I speak for everyone when I say you have been doing a pretty kick-ass job thus far with the game. Anyway, us players who have no interest in av'ing (me) just have to sit back and hope that someone steps up and helps save this game.

The end is not coming. Right now, i've got three or four people who volunteered to help out, and it looks like I'll do news, and the other people have been willing to help with budgets and the like (not just you, Marc). Give me a few days to get this baby back and running. It ain't dead yet.
