The scientist's eyebrows arched as he examined the computer simulation. He leaned forward in his chair as if he were expecting something. His hands glided over his control panel, dropping to enter commands into the device as they went.
The tactical simulations also support the data. he mused. If we are able to implament this kind of technology into our war birds, we'll have a much more defensable position in the grand scheme of things.
The computer beeped at him pointedly. "Ah," he said aloud." I see. By activating a secondary shield grid, we are able to run the cloak with the shields up."
He busily began entering a new series of commands into his computer.
He enjoyed his work... a little too much. Not suprisingly, he dropped off to sleep while reviewing sensor logs...

The scientist had been asleep for a veraku and the assistant felt it nesseccary to wake him before our superiors came to inspect our work. If they didn't find it satisfactory, well, he didn't like to think about it. The Romulan assistant walked over to the head scientist and began to lightly shake his shoulder. He thought it revolting that he should be his caretaker, but he had been assigned to help him and he didn't talk back.
"Sir, you have been asleep for a whole veraku. We don't want to be..." He didn't want to say it because he didn't like to think of the possibility. He shook his shoulder harder until the head scientist had awoken. "Sir, you were asleep for a veraku, we need to get more done." The scientist shook his head clear of weariness. As the head nodded his thanks, the assistant was still thinking evil things about his superior and his assignment. He didn't even like science. But, once again, he dare not argue with his superiors.
