Leader positions OPEN, One female Two Male
(rulers of Nysroc)

[6/9] Myself and Bleeding were discussing plots, and decided, that within the next week or so, when i am able to, I will add a new race to our list. We are adding Hunters, supernatural Hunters or Vampire Hunters. We decided that our supernatural community was a little to safe other than from themselves and demons, so now more drama shall arise if people decide to rp one. Should be interesting.

[5/8] Its been a little over due, due to the season changing and all. But We have finally got a new layout! The season has skipped Spring and we have jumped into Summer. I know that the layout is fairly bright, but the next one will go back to black and wont hurt our eyes to much XD haha. Anyway, We need more vampires and werewolves, well, actually we need more of just about everything so whatever. Bleeding has added more music to the Ipod, and its no longer on Autoplay so you have to personally click it to listen to the music, better if you want silence ^^
I wanted to add, that there is another creature i would like to introduce to EBD a creature called an Asmodai, much like the Dosferatu, these creatures will NOT be easy to Role-play. You MUST talk to me personally if you would like to know what an Asmodai is.

Below is a basic description of Embraced by Darkness. Just a bit of information of the Site, and of the cities and a few goals some may take.

Embraced by Darkness is a place where races of both human and inhuman mingle, unknowingly by humans who think Vampires, Faeries, Witches, demons and werewolves don’t even exist. How very wrong they are. Those humans who do find out are usually kept very close to the inhuman races and or their memories will be erased. This is A world unknowingly connected to two others that are hidden through doorways, one immobile, and the other a door of trickery and movement. Within the world lies six doors, six keys, five amulets that have been broken into five shards.

The city of Gorsedd lies within a curve of forest hills and actually touches the ocean itself. The city, though fairly large doesn’t get much attention from tourists and outsiders despite some of the rather important buildings scattered throughout the city. Unknowingly the city was built upon a certain doorway that connects two very different worlds, and even today only one of the two worlds knows it exists. This doorway leads into the underground world known here, as the Nysroc Underworld, or as many would rather know it as Hell.

Very few within the human world, and the city of Gorsedd know that demons from this underworld exist. Those who know are either inhuman, or humans with very strong abilities that no normal person can know of. The duty of those with a good heart is to find a way to close this doorway and prevent demons from slipping in whenever they please, for many deaths occur when they actually do. Keeping demons in line, for even a Witch isn’t easy, for they listen to none but their kingdom ruler, if even that.

Many inhuman races within the human world exist, and some are better at keeping their secret than others. Within the hills that surround the city lies and third world. A world of both beauty and horror so severe humans would be struck blind by the beauty, and go insane from the sheer horror. Within the hills lie one world and two very different kingdoms. These hills are also known to some inhumans as “Faerie Mounds.” Within the hills lie the world of the Sidhe, a race that would be considered as a sort of elves by humans, but don’t call them that to their face, it would not be wise.

No other race is allowed within the Faerie Mounds, and those humans that are brought in usually never come out. This world and its kingdoms have no real care of the human world and usually leave it alone. But many sidhe leave the hills through a doorway that vanishes and moves from place to place among the hillside. These Sidhe mingle and use a power to make themselves appear more human. Demons know they exist and the Side are usually prey to being stolen from their world, and the human world and taken to the underworld. Sidhe are prized possessions among demons, as are other types of Fey.

Within the city also lie two different clans of inhuman races. One is a called a “Kiss” and lead by a single vampire, the other is a Clan made up of Werewolves, that for a similar structure as a pack of wolves, lead by one, or two leaders. These two races seem to be, like the Side, the more neutral, and don’t entirely care about the problems demons and Witches face.

The Five Kingdoms of Hell normally try and keep their followers under a rule, to not kill, to much, within the human world, for gaining to much attention might get themselves into more trouble than they desire. They don’t however, go out of their way to stop a demon and his or her slaughter. Within Each Kingdom lies a door that leads into the human world. Within the human world lie Six scattered doors. Any demon deciding to slip through a door and choose anywhere he or she wishes to go as long as there is a door. One door also lies within the neutral city of Sheol. Since five of the doors are merely on the outskirts or far from a city, the one for Gorsedd is more used, for the doorway lies within the city itself.

There are not many Witches powerful enough to close this doorway, but considering it is possible, sooner or later a Witch with a good heart will come along, with the desired power of Light, and find one of six keys. Each key goes to a different doorway that is scattered somewhere on earth, and only One key will work with its door. Finding the keys is the problem, because they aren’t on earth at all, they are within one of each of the Five Kingdoms of Nysroc, and each are guarded by the King or Queen themselves, hidden in a maze of corridors and rooms of each castle. To keep a single door closed would mean one would have to work with others to close all six doorways, or else it will only open again and finding the key a second time would surely be even harder than the first time.

Not many know of these keys besides the demons that live within Nysroc, and maybe some inhuman races that live within the human world, but other than that, the keys are mere myths, only the five Devil’s, or rather, rulers of the kingdoms would know. As there are keys to search for to close these doors, there are power based amulets within the human world that the Devils and demons search for, hidden in the labyrinth of the entire world. And it just so happens, that Four different amulet Shards lie somewhere within Gorsedd. Two is guarded by a powerful witch, one other hidden within Faerie Mounds and guarded by one of the two Kingdoms and the third is left guardless, but hidden in plain view within a city shop. The Demons don’t know this, but they do know they are somewhere within the city.

The amulets, one for each Nysroc Kingdom, were once owned by each a few thousand years before. Each amulet may only belong to a single ruler and the amulets usually have something to do with the name of the ruler and his or her kingdom and the time their kingdom is stuck within. The amulets give each Kingdom even more power, and allows the Devil (Ruler) of each kingdom gain both more abilities, and allows the land to once again live on its own.

When the amulets were stolen so long ago, each ruler had to sacrifice something of themselves to keep their Kingdom, and their world alive, if not, their land would die and so would the demons that lived within it. Each way of sacrifice is different, and when each Devil comes to, they are weakened for at least two weeks to a month. Within this time they can be permanently killed and a new ruler can step up, if they so dare. But killing them even within this time is risky, for no King, or Queen would be easily unguarded.

The amulets would give them back the power to be completely immortal; it would allow each Devil to not have that one weakness that can kill them. If power is then gained, depending on the mind of the ruler, all hell would break loose. To make this even more difficult, the amulets were broken into five pieces. Each piece would give a little back to the Kingdom until all five were gained.

So what would you choose? Find the Keys or find the Shards? Or do nothing at all….
